We had such an amazing time at this cooking class! We made fresh ravioli, pasta from scratch, and tiramisu—all absolutely delicious. Our instructor, Raphelo (I hope I’m spelling that right!), was fantastic—super helpful, patient, and made the whole experience fun and approachable. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area who wants a hands-on, authentic Italian cooking experience!

Fantastic time, the instructor could not have been better. The youtube video that promoted this being at a location with a view of the city. This class did not have a view. That would have made it 5 star

As an avid hand washer, I was a little nervous about how this would end up while cooking as a group. I was so excited when the cooked pasta that I ate liked exactly like the wonky pasta that I sent to the kitchen to cook! They gathered each groups pasta individually and knew whose was what. Amazing!
I’ve tried to make pasta before by myself from a recipe. It did not go well. This time, the pasta was very yummy. Sam was our chef, she was very helpful and funny and made this class a wonderful experience. Everyone who worked within this class were very helpful and nice. They like food and want to make sure that you know how to cook it! As the class progresses, we each got a little personal attention to help prefect our doughs.
Plenty of wine and water and juice to go around to give you confidence and keep you hydrated while kneading the dough.
Highly recommend this class for sure!
We had younger kids and older people and everyone in between. All seemed to enjoy the class and their food at the end.
It was worth the time in a city that has so much to do.

This was an incredible experience that my family will always remember. The chef was so genuine in his passion for teaching! We made pasta, ravioli and tiramisu from scratch. I have a gluten allergy and offered a separate meal while my family ate what we all had made. I highly recommend this experience!

Directions lead us to the correct location and thankfully the host was standing at the entrance to great us. The restaurant was newly renovated and there wasn’t a sign so we could have easily missed it

It is an evening full of fun, good cooking and wise words from our teacher chef Raphael. He guided us through the art of making homemade pasta and tiramisu. The best meal I had in Firenze. It was so much fun - and wine! As a solo traveller from Denmark I highly recommend it.

This experience was well worth every penny and super well done. The staff and chef was super fun, knowledgeable and very passionate about cooking, family, history and how it all ties together. He shared personal experiences that made him relatable and is great if you’re traveling with young adults or if you’re a young adult going out into the world. The food was wonderful and the experience was unforgettable. Going to recommend to friends who will be traveling to Florence within the next couple months.

Rafa was an excellent chef and teacher! His passion for history and how it tied together to cooking class left me memorized. He shared several tricks to master techniques, and detailed how to determine the pasta is ready.....these visions will help me take home. I'm glad we added this class last minute! The tirimisu demonstration was detailed. I can't wait to go home and make my own pasta. My 16yo son loved the class and said it was a def highlight.

The cooking class with Chef Rafael and his team was very enjoyable and a MUST TRY. The chef is a historian, cooking aficionado and excellent at teaching. We were a family of four and joined by 9 others. We made papardelle, ravioli and tiramisu from scratch . We learned the right way to make it and then we dined together for lunch. The chef and his team very organized, clear in explaining things to us and made the experience very enjoyable for us all. The kitchen at La Carbonata was easy to find and made for a great experience for our entire family.

A good fun thing to do during your time in Florence. We made pasta but not the sauce. And we watched them make tiramisu.
Hands-on experience and very tasty.

Unfortunately, the time and location of our class was changed, moved to an earlier time, which was communicated to us via WhatsApp and email late the evening prior and we did not see. So we went to the location and time our original and confirmation email from the morning of the scheduled event said. When we got to the site, we were told the class was cancelled because the chef was sick. They called someone for us who said we could go to a different location where a class had already started, or cancel. We chose to cancel since we would miss almost an hour of the class at that point. Later in the day when I messaged for a refund, I noted the number I had been given had sent a message moving the class up, but was in spam. They did give a refund and offered a different class, but it did not work in our schedule.

We’re sorry you couldn’t attend the class, but we want to clarify the situation.
We informed you about the change of time and location two days in advance via WhatsApp, email, and the Viator platform. We received no response. On the day of the class, you went to the old meeting point and only then saw our messages. You called us, and we offered a spot in an ongoing class or to reschedule, but neither worked with your plans.
Despite this, we gave you a full refund out of respect. We're sad to see a negative review despite our efforts, but we remain committed to clear communication and excellent service for every guest.

This was a great cooking class we learned how to make ravioli and pasta and tiramasu. The teacher was very good and taught us alot about pasta and cooking it. We had a great dinner after all our hard work. I think I am a master at pasta. Lol can't wait to try it at home. Chef gave us the recipes we made. We absolutely loved this cooking class. We recommend it.
