As you get started with your chef, learn about the history of pizza-making in Italy, and the distinct characteristics between pies from each Italian region. Sample an array of pizza flavors as you go and then throw your own creation in the oven to bake.
Continue with a lesson in dessert, as you receive instruction on crafting traditional Italian gelato. While this sweet treat does share similarities to ice cream found in other countries, it typically has a lower amount of butterfat and a unique freezing process that accounts for its dense, flavorful consistency. As your instructor shows you the secrets of the trade, enjoy plenty of samples to satisfy your sweet tooth.

This was one of the highlights of our trip. The chef, Lisa, was encouraging and patient. Class age ranged from 5- 80 and we all learned something new. Everyone succeeded in making a wonderful 10" (or larger pizza.) then we enjoyed eating it. She also included two of the children in the gelato making demo. They were thrilled and the chocolate geato was amazing. They sent us home with recipes too. I can't say enough good things about our experience. Can't wait to try my hand at making my own pizza

Nice kitchen, professional chef, wonderful experience cooking in the heart of Florence. We also received a certificate and recipes for the pizza and gelato.
The class was so much more than we expected! The chefs were knowledgeable, friendly and made the class very entertaining and a good learning experience even for myself as an advanced cook.

Our pizza making night with Matteo was one of the highlights of our trip to Florence! Matteo was welcoming, knowledgeable, and so much fun! He made the experience enjoyable for our entire family, and we loved learning how to make authentic Italian pizza from scratch. It was the perfect combination of great food, laughter, and making memories together. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Matteo to anyone visiting Florence!

We had so much fun at this class!! My 2.5 year old had a great time. Our teacher, Lisa, was not only a great instructor, but she was also funny and extremely great with my son. The pizza and gelato were absolutely delicious and I appreciated the different types of toppings we had to choose from so that everyone was happy.
Great fun! Lisa was knowledgable, funny, and considerate. We learned a lot about making pizza, especially the dough, and the fine art of gelato. We all ate what each of us made, so she must have been a good teacher!

Our chef was great at explaining the steps involved in making pizza and gelato as well as the reasoning behind those steps. He also taught us how to find authentic gelato. The experience was really fun.
Andrea did a superb job teaching a cooking class on making pizza and Gelato to many novices. His direction, humor and wit were all well received and enjoyed by the entire class. This was a great experience and highly recommended.

Matteo was a great teacher! It was our last day in Florence and the highlight of the trip. We had such a great time and the food was exceptional too! I would highly recommend this class.

Great time learning how to make delicious pizza. Very easy and will be able to replicate back at home in the US. Also doubled as our lunch, which was a bonus! Fredrico was an amazing teacher- loved his personality!

My husband and I truly enjoyed this class where we learned how to make pizza dough and how to make a good gelato. Lisa was our enthusiastic instructor leading our class through the steps of both. We each made our owin individual pizza...from making the dough from scratch to shaping it...adding the selection of toppings...baking the pizzas...to enjoying eating our creation. Pizza boxes are available for any uneaten portions. Then we all finish with freshly made delicious gelato! 😋 The three hour class flew by! Great class...great memories! Grazie mille to Lisa...and all the attentive staff who kept everything going smoothly and cleaned up!
This was an amazing experience. Roberta was awesome! She did a great job explaining how to make both the pizza gelato. She had a great sense of humor and made the entire group filled comfortable.
A very fun class, they teach you all the tricks of making pizza and gelato. Each of us made our own pizza with our own toppings. An articulated chef with lots of knowledge. Loved it!
This is a great thing to do for a family. It was a unique experience, and they did a great job of getting the kids involved.. if I had to do all over again, I would do it all over. Lisa was amazing.
This pizza and gelato class was incredibly fun with Towns of Italy. Liza was our group instructor and she was patient, silly, engaging, clear in her instructions, and the sweetest. She also gave us excellent advice on how to identify authentic gelato, along with great restaurant recommendations. From the ingredients to the cooking time to substitutions, she provided plentiful information. I had an amazing time and would love to bring my family next time!
We had the BEST time at our pizza and gelato cooking class with Chef Victoria! This was such a fun and memorable experience and definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Italy.
Making our own pizza was so much fun, but my favorite part was getting to help make the gelato! 🍕🍨 I loved being able to actually participate and learn how everything was made. The class was entertaining, hands-on, and perfect for our family.
And of course, getting to eat everything we made at the end was the best reward! 😂 Everything was delicious, and we left with full stomachs and some wonderful memories. I would absolutely recommend this class to anyone visiting Florence!

Great way to learn how to make pizza and the gelato demonstration was interesting. Although the chef did a good instruction, he spoke really fast with a heavy accent that made it difficult for this English-speaking person to understand.
Lisa our chef was so fun! I learned some great tips so I can make at home! Lots of laughs and delicious pizza and gelato- We would highly recommend !!
We had a fantastic time at the pizza and gelato cooking class in Florence! The instructors were wonderful—they kept everyone engaged, made sure we understood the instructions, and were always happy to help us along the way. We came away with a much deeper appreciation for how much skill and effort goes into making truly great fresh pizza. It was a fun, hands-on experience and something we would highly recommend to anyone visiting Florence!

What an excellent way to spend 3 hours. Especially during the heat in the summer, this was a welcome stop along our exploring of Florence.
Our chef/teacher was Lisa, and she was fantastic. She taught us alot about the process of making both the dough for the pizza and gelato. She was funny, engaging and patient.
The pizza was amazing, especially since we made it. We found a new topping as well, pickled onion!!!
We didn't actually get to make our own gelato. Lisa picked 2 kids to make and blend the gelato, and they did a fantastic job.
She did teach us about proper gelato, and how to spot the difference between good and fake gelato. An absolute game changer for the rest of our trip.
If I ever get back to Florence, I would do this class again. Well worth the money and time.
