Fun for everyone in our 7 person group! The location is beautiful. Wine/beer/water included. Everyone was amazing including the gelato and pizza chefs along with staff. They are able to enclose the cooking/dining areas so we were comfortable when it got a little chilly out. Everyone got to make their own pizza. Also more gelato and flavors than we could eat. Delicious! Fun and entertaining night! Highly recommend!

I would make pasta with Nonna every day if I could. Such great energy and great people. The food was delicious. We love to cook (and eat), still learned things and had the best time. My kids 11 & 13 really enjoyed it and tried new foods. Took pride in what they made…. And will be making gelato at home for sure.

Make your own way to a centrally located meeting spot and transfer by coach to a private estate situated in the hills
above Florence.

Start your culinary experience with a tasting of a traditional focaccia appetizer accompanied by a glass of Chianti wine.
Next your chef-instructor shows you how to make pasta or pizza dough, and explains regional variations.

For pasta makers, roll up your sleeves and get to work creating three types of fresh pasta from scratch, and recreate iconic sauces including Pesto, Carbonara, Amatriciana and Cacio e Pepe.

For pizza makers, after preparing the dough, select the topping ingredients that you like from the assortment of fresh vegetables harvested from the estate gardens. Your pizza is then baked traditional-style in the wood oven.

For dessert, learn to make a creamy gelato that can be accompanied by toppings and sauces. When ready, sit down to enjoy the fruit of your labour accompanied by wine or beer.

Your culinary experience ends with a return trip to your starting point in Florence.

Definitely worth it!

Susan_M, Apr 2026
This was a phenomenal experience. The guides/chefs, Cris, Gloria, Ivana, were knowledgeable, organized, and very personable. The pasta and gelato were amazing. The setting was an authentic Tuscan village with breathtaking views. This was one of our favorite experiences on vacation. We are excited to cook and make gelato at home!

Truly worth it

Absolutely amazing. The place is wonderful and the staff is fantastic. We had so much fun and learned a lot

Super fun activity with Wonderful Guides/Chefs

Rachel_K, Apr 2026
Our family had a very enjoyable afternoon and evening in the Tuscan countryside, learning how to make 3 different pastas, 3 different sauces, and many different flavors of gelato! Noemi, Davide, and Antonio were amazing hosts. They completely made the experience!!! We loved it. Only wanted to mention it is about a 45-50 minute luxury bus trip from Florence, so just be prepared for that.

Excellent experience

Stephanie_P, Apr 2026
This was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Gloria, Ivana, and Cris were incredible, both as chefs and as instructors. Everything was thoughtfully organized down to the smallest detail, which made the whole day feel seamless and relaxed. We even had time to wander around the farm and take in the stunning sunset views, which made it all the more special. The food we prepared was absolutely delicious! The best part is, we made it ourselves! Their guidance was so clear and encouraging that we’re genuinely excited to try making fresh pasta at home. We’d do this again in a heartbeat.

Amazing place, fantastic people, excellent experience for us!!

Jennifer_W, Apr 2026
Leticia met us (I did have trouble to find but in the end I called support who clarified the exact location, not an office) and we went 20 minutes by bus to a farm where they have an amazing kitchen space. They were all entertaining and gracious hosts, and the recipes we learned for pastas, sauces and gelati will be certainly used at home.

Just do it!!

Kim_R, Apr 2026
If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! We did the pizza class 2 years ago and this year we brought family with us because we loved it so much and couldn’t stop raving about it!!!! The whole experience is so fun and interesting, and the food is delicious! Short bus ride and beautiful property. There are bathrooms at the property. Walkabout tours was super helpful because one of our party wasn’t feeling well before the bus ride over, and the gave us the address to the farmhouse so she could taxi there and join the rest of our party. Book this fun day!!

A fun way to learn how to make Italian pizza and gelato.

Jay_E, Apr 2026
An entertaining and definitively involved opportunity to learn how to make pizza and gelato, with a decent amount of wine for lubrication. Max explained the ingredients and method for gelato making then lead through the creation of our own variety. Arla and Ti—-? explained, demonstrated, then lead us while we each created our own pizza. We all actually succeeded and our creations were very tasty. One word of caution, getting to the venue involved some walking and steep, uneven stairs.

Book it!!

Manuel_J, Apr 2026
We’ve done a few cooking classes during our trips to Italy and this one has been the best yet. First, the scenery! It’s a breathtaking view of the Tuscan hillside, and on a beautiful spring evening, it was absolutely perfect. The experience from start to finish felt authentic, relaxed, and genuinely enjoyable. The chefs were incredible! They were so nice, so funny, and took the time to teach so you can bring home your new skills! Nothing felt rushed or overly structured! Making the pizza was such a highlight! Aris & Tiziano were so funny and remembered EVERYONE’S name! We had so much fun working our dough “babies” and making the pizza! It ended up being some of the best pizza we’ve ever had! Now, the gelato! Max was great, especially since he greeted us with Wine and Beer! But he was so knowledgeable and again, the learning aspect of it was so enjoyable. Learning how it’s made from scratch and then getting to enjoy it fresh was something we’ll be talking about for a long time. If you’re in Florence and considering a cooking class, this is 100% worth it. It’s not just about the food, it’s the entire experience. We would do it again in a heartbeat.

Good old-fashioned pasta-making

Linh_T, Apr 2026
It was a really fun experience. The team was so energetic and you can feel the love they have for what they are teaching. Leticia was very good as a guide and Gelato instructor. We had 8 flavors of Gelato to make and try. Get ready to sing and dabce with Carmella and Aleccia during your lessons. You should film the pasta-making portion of the class for reference later, because they provided a lot of good little tips. The farm was beautiful and relaxing. You don't need to bring anything with you, except your enthusiasm. The Chianti was free flowing and service was discreetly efficient and very friendly. The age range of the group was from abot 12 years old through 60+, and they made everyone feel included and special through participation.

Pizza & gelato making class

Kylie_V, Apr 2026
We really enjoyed this experience, a lot of fun, making the pizza & gelato from scratch was enjoyable. The surrounding countryside was lovely, it was a bit of a rainy day but that didn’t really matter. Only thing was we had to climb up & down some quite steep stairs but we managed it. The chefs and staff were very friendly & quite funny

Don’t question it, book this tour. You will not regret it.

Phil_F, Apr 2026
No where else in the world do you get to hang out in the iconic hills and views of the Tuscany countryside while making delicious, fresh pizza and gelato. The hosts were amazing and the experience terrific. 10 out of 10, you need to go on this tour.

This was our favorite part of visiting Florence/Tuscany! Francesco, Ado, and Letizia were amazing along with the other workers who helped us throughout the process. This is truly an amazing experience, and I recommend it to anyone visiting Florence. The gelato making was a great addition to the class and sets it apart from other pasta making classes.

10/10 experience and hands down my favourite activity we’ve done in Italy! I’ve been dreaming of an Italian cooking class for ages and this was better than I could have imagined. You cover pasta, filling, sauces AND gelato. Absolutely heaven!! The pick up point was a bit confusing; you actually meet on the median/island across from McDonald’s, not directly in front of the McDonald’s like the directions in the Viator app show you. After that though it was all incredible! A beautiful bus ride through the countryside of Tuscany. The venue was absolutely beautiful (and we were greeted by two adorable donkeys out in the vineyard). Our guides, Ivana and Gloria, were absolutely amazing, truly! They were fun, entertaining, so knowledgeable and informative, and they had that zest for life and cooking that you find in classic Italian culture. The company was fantastic and the food was absolutely exquisite. Everyone was looking forward to bringing back what we learned to our own kitchens at home. We came to Italy as part of our honeymoon and this tour gave us the kind of memories that will last a lifetime. 10/10 recommend!

Best experience we had in...

Charlotte_W, Apr 2026
Best experience we had in Florence. We met Davide at the meeting point and he took us to our air-conditioned coach that would take us to their new farmhouse (about 45mins away from central Florence). The farmhouse was beautiful and we were given wine and water before kicking off our cooking. The whole cooking experience was fantastic. Davide, Gloria and Francesco were all so informative and helpful and helped us to make some delicious dishes. Really really recommend this activity if you have a bit of available time in Florence!

Pasta, gelato and beauty!

JohnandMarcy_W, Apr 2026
This was one of the best tours/excursions I have been on! Chef Christian, Ivana and Tony of WalkAbout Tours were outstanding! The pasta and gelato making was so fun! My granddaughters loved it! The drive there and the property were beautiful. Thank you for a great experience!

Was a fun and informative time from beginning to end. Great guides and chefs -David/Gloria/Cris were fun and taught us so much with kindness.

So fun, beautiful setting and delicious pizza/gelato!

Lisa_P, Apr 2026
This was a wonderful experience! My husband, son (21yo), and I booked this class as an evening activity during our stay in Florence. The location of the pizza and gelato-making class is stunning - nestled high in the hills of Tuscany with views towards Florence. The kitchen and dining area were equally lovely: a beautiful indoor kitchen, an outdoor wood-fired oven, and a dining area. Our instructors (Gloria, Arla, and Tiziano) were hilarious, capable, and professional. The pizza-making and gelato-making lessons were very hands-on and pretty foolproof. It was fun to make our own creations, and they were actually very delicious! Ample wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks were available. I would definitely recommend this experience!

Unreal experience, and our favorite in Florence by far. The staff was incredible, food was delicious, and we had a ton of fun. This was an amazing value class, too, we would’ve paid way more.

If you have time for 1 activity in Florence, let it be this

Ayush_B, Apr 2026
I had an amazing experience, the 3 chefs were wonderful, kind and very knowledgeable! As part of the activity, we make 3 types of fresh pasta, and Gelato. Additionally, we get to know about the Italian cooking philosophy of adding ingredient quantity as much is neede and trusting your instincts. I would recommend this class to everyone who is planning to visit. Also, in my class I met a lovely family of Johanna and Steve and I want to wish them all well!

Incredible 10/10 experience outside of Florence- fun for entire family!

Mary_R, Apr 2026
This experience was truly incredible and a great ending to our 8 days in Italy for Spring break. We had a group of 9 with four kids aged 9-12 and absolutely loved the pasta and gelato class. The location is amazing- 45 min bus ride into the hills and out of Florence. The kitchens and space are new and impressive. Ado, Tony and Gloria were amazing teachers and kept our entire family engaged and loving every minute! We all learned something and loved getting hands on making pasta like in the movies! I highly recommend this experience!

Taste of Italy

Cecily_R, Apr 2026
If a pasta cooking class is what you're looking for then this is the place you have to book! Toni, Noemi, & Davide provided us with a great experience! Noemi met us at the train station where she walked us to the tour bus and then provided us with information about the Tuscan Farm and what we were to expect from the class. We were able to make 3 different types of pastas with sauce, gelato, and had unlimited wine. Toni and Davide were exceptional teachers and full of knowledge and comic relief. If you book in the afternoon you will even be able to take in a Tuscan sunset! We would highly recommend booking this experience!

Feels like family - a warm, inviting, phenomenal event!

Nicole_E, Apr 2026
The reviews are true - this is a phenomenal, unique, and well-worth-it experience in the Tuscany region! The pasta + gelato class is about a 45 minute, very comfortable bus ride into the gorgeous Tuscan hills. The organization, communication, kitchen set-up, and experience are all impeccably planned. The hosts/kitchen instructors are amazing! They truly feel like family at the end of the event. Francesco, Carmela, and Letizia were personable, fun, caring, and passionate about making our experience perfect! The food was absolutely delicious. We were so full! This is really fun with a group of friends/family, but you will meet others as well and share kitchen stations with them if you are a smaller group. Totally fine for kids! We were so pleased with the emphasis on Italian cooking and eating being. apart of family and togetherness. We felt this and really wanted to spend more time with Letizia, Francesco, and Carmela. It was like being in grandma's kitchen with your cousins. So much fun, so worth it, and we hope we can now cook a little more like this at home. Thank you!

Great experience with a great view

Bill_S, Apr 2026
This was the highlight of our visit to Florence. The facilities were very nice and rustic. The space overlooks a small garden and olive trees with the Tuscan hills in the background. The staff were all knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience entertaining. Arla, Chris and Tiziano were able to teach, entertain the adults and also make sure my two young children were involved and had fun also. Pizza was very good. Gelato tasting was also good and Chris gave some unique tasting combination recommendations. We would definitely do this again. The transport to and from the experience was in a very nice, new, bus. The only thing to be aware of, especially for those with kids, is that from the meeting point, there is another 10 minute walk to the actual bus.

Beautiful scenery and lots of fun

Shannon_D, Apr 2026
Had booked a pizza making experience in Florence and then found this one online and all the reviews mentioned the beautiful location and fun class. Glad I cancelled our original reservation for this. The scenery is spectacular, class was a great time and time well spent (5 hours). Met great people at the class and the instructors were tons of fun.

Travel situation not ideal. But the farmhouse and staff amazing.

Zoe_C, Apr 2026
We were not given proper directions to find the guide. Just be at the railway station at the front. Which is large! Had to contact Viator to get instructions. They should be given to you in advance. Then a 10 min walk to the coach. Then an hour by coach. We were dropped at the end of a steep hill and had to walk the last bit. Not sure why the bus didn’t go down there. Plenty of room. Then the actual day. Carmella and Alyssa amazing! So entertaining and good instructions. The process, ingredients and surroundings were perfect. Only been open a week so some building works going in. Only one toilet for everyone with no lock. But it will all look fab when it’s finished. They are also building a restaurant. Nothing other that red wine (I don’t drink it) or water. White wine would have been nice. Feel I missed out on that part of the deal. No focaccia as advertised. We didn’t make it or be given it to eat. But we recommend the pasta making as you make 3 different types with 3 sauces. All very tasty. Then the gelato that Noame ran. So simple and great tasting again. Rushing home to buy a machine and tools so we can recreate the whole thing.

Beautiful Views

My daughter & I really enjoyed our afternoon/evening at this beautiful Tuscan farm making Gelato and Pizza! The greeter and the sweet and helpful bus driver -bus ride was quick, the walk is definitely intermediate & up/down stairs. The views were gorgeous! Noemi, the pizza makers were so knowledgeable and fun!!! We enjoyed every bite! Thank you!!!
