An overcast day in Nikko
The group was quite small and the tour guide Minako was very nice. The driver took us up the mountain roads to Nikko, where we walked around the Nikkō Tōshōgū and thanks to the weather there were not that many people there. However the rain and clouds did hide mount Nantai from us when we were at the lake, and Kegon waterfalls were also almost invisible.

Fantastic Day at Nikko, Kegon Waterfalls, and Lake Chuzenji
Our tour to Nikko, the Toshogu Shrine, Kegon Waterfalls, and Lake Chuzenji was phenomenal. The views of each location were spectacular, and the amount of time we spent at each felt perfectly scheduled. Jorge was a wonderful guide. Very informative and a lot of fun. Ejima was a fantastic driver as well. The pair made it an incredible day for our group and I would definitely book another tour in the future.

Captain Jack's Incredible Trip
I would give 6 stars if I could. Jack was a fantastic guide, would highly recommend! He was friendly, engaging, informative, and super helpful. Our friends got engaged during the trip, and Jack took some candid shots for us, and arranged a celebratory dessert during our meal. Although the weather wasn't on our side, and we never got to see Mt Fuji for cloud cover, Jack made the rest of the trip as enjoyable as possible, and truly went above and beyond. The whole experience was brilliant

Mt.Fuji and a day of Exploring
The day started with joining our group in Tokyo and getting on a comfortable bus for our journey to Mt.Fuji area. Winnie and her associates explaining history and great ways to explore the area. Winnie was funny and informative. We saw a sliver of Fuji as we drove up. The tour guides helped us with lunch seating and taking photos at every photo spot. We had planned to stay in the area at a royokan and Winnie and the bus driver helped us get to our hotel safely. We had a great time, and everyone should book a tour to see the area efficiently and in comfort.

When you need a break from big, modern Tokyo, look to its neighboring areas, which are more traditional and natural and offer a different perspective on Japan. A Tokyo day trip gets you out of the city—whether for a couple of hours or the full day. Travel through the surrounding countryside by private car, bus, or even the super-fast bullet train, to fit more into your day. Visit UNESCO-listed temples and shrines or admire the views of iconic mountains further afield, or focus on Tokyo's outer suburbs.
