Wonderful Mt Fuji Tour

We had a great day moving around the northern Mt Fuji area with Usman as our guide. The weather (fortunately) was incredible so we had some great photos from the day. Usman was very open to focusing on what we wanted to see and recommended a few additonal stops that were not the obvious ones. By picking us up and dropping us off at our hotel he made the day easy for us. The surrounding towns and stops are quite diverse and gave us an appreciation for the more rural areas of Japan. This would definitely be a trip we would recommend!

Sumptuous, educational and so much fun!

Hitomi, our guide, was an absolute gem! She was very knowledgeable and gave us tons of great educational nuggets throughout the day. We started at the seafood market at an established stall where we learned a lot about how the tuna is procured, stored and prepared and also about the different cuts and theor uses. We ate several delicious samples before walking through the rest of the market where we sampled many other delicacies and also entered various shops based on our interests. Along the way she explained various traditions and ways of life and told us about her own family.We also toured a temple and ended the day with a delicious matcha ice cream. We can't praise her enough! We learned so much and had a blast. Usually I get tired by the end of a tour, but I could have spent the whole day with Hitomi- she is just a delight. We highly recommend this tour!

Don’t forget your water.

Bring some water with you in warm weather. While many places to buy are available, other tours can lead to long wait times at some locations. And don’t be like me and not practice stairs before the 398 steps to an incredible view. Otherwise an informative and beautiful tour that shows many aspects of Japan.

Shogun shrine and Buddhist temple is work visiting in Nikko. The tale of three monkeys was absolutely fantastic. The ornate dwellings are sight be seen and behold. The iconic red bridge was a delight. However not enough time was allotted to visit after the visit to shrine or special stop at the bridge and walk across the bridge. Little disappointing. Well worth the trip. Recommend to anyone visiting Tokyo for this day trip.

Exciting Kamakura - One Day Tour from Tokyo

Kamakura day tour

Kono San was a very good tour guide. He met us at our hotel in Tokyo Kaand then had us traipse along on schedule for each train, then to next train connection and then another. We also had to take a bus to a few stops. There is NO WAY we would be able to maneuver through all of these trains and buses. We saw the Giant Buddha which was incredible and we were able to go inside. Luckily, it was only 70 degrees outside so the Buddha wasn't hot inside. Hokoku-ji Temple is very famous for its Bamboo Garden which we walked through. Kono San took us to experience a typical selling street. It was scenic overload...so many shops, so many people. We stopped for a lemon drink and had some yummy ice cream. He photographed us at various best vantage points and emailed us the pictures. Kono San is a lovely man, and very spry for 70 years old. My one complaint is he doesn't have a mastery of the English language, so sometimes he wouldn't be able to answer some questions. Often he would Google if I asked something in particular. But by most accounts, we could not see these sites on our own coming from Tokyo.

Thank you Pearl for saving the day!

We missed our English speaking bus. We were late but another tour operator of allowed us to come on the two empty seats on her bus and we had a fabulous time.. her name is Pearl and it was a Chinese language tour.. but we had a blast. Everyone was so kind and she was fabulous for allowing us to go on the tour with her and because she also spoke English we didn’t feel like we missed anything at all.. I was so grateful to be able to enjoy the tour after all even though we missed our bus! She was very friendly and professional and make sure we knew what to see at the stops and what time to return to the bus. What could have been a very disappointing date to us turned into a fabulous adventure ..her name was Pearl, and we’re so grateful that she helped us out! We saw some beautiful sites and were very lucky that there wasn’t a cloud in the sky and we could see Mount Fuji perfectly. Of course, I wished we could spend a little more time at each site… especially our first stop at the pagoda. I was happy to see some cherry blossoms, even though we are at the end of the season.. All in all it was a fabulous day.

Great day trip from Tokyo

Had a lovely experience. The guide, Mai-san was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained with fun facts about Japan, it's history and culture. Just the right amount of walking around considering we only arrived the night before and still very tired and jetlagged. Uchida-San, the driver, was great as well as he navigated through the mountain road with ease. We came the right day as there was a festival on the day so saw some of the procession. The waterfall left a lot to be desired since it's not rainy season but all in all, had a really great day.

I wanted to take a moment to share our wonderful experience with our guide, Rana, who provided us with exceptional service. We began our tour early at 6 a.m., which helped us avoid traffic and reach our destinations smoothly. Our first stop was a delightful breakfast break at a charming location. After that, we visited the Five-Storied Shrine, where we climbed 400 steps—despite the cloudy, rainy weather that prevented us from seeing Mount Fuji. We thoroughly enjoyed all the unique places we visited. Next, we went to Oshino Hakkai Village, a traditional Japanese village with deep ponds, a souvenir shop, and old houses—perfect for the backdrop. Then, we visited the famous Kitaguchi Shrine with its iconic torii gates. Afterward, we enjoyed a delicious meal at a ramen restaurant. Finally, we relaxed by Lake Kawaguchi in Kōshi Park, where we savored some ice cream. We managed everything perfectly on time and had an amazing day. We highly recommend Rana—he is extremely knowledgeable, and the entire tour was flexible and well-paced. Thank you so much!

Great experience!

We had Kevin as our guide, and he was wonderful! He helped us find the specific meeting spot that morning, was very friendly and engaging, and gave the perfect balance of information and quiet time on the bus. We were lucky that we saw Mt Fuji the entire day. All of the stops were interesting and fun, and I really enjoyed drinking the water from Mt Fuji’s snow. Highly recommend!!

1000 percent recommend. Naomi and Lili were amazing guides. They truly went above and beyond. We covered all the major Tokyo highlights in a single day and somehow still found so many hidden gems and neighborhoods. It felt unreal how much we saw without feeling rushed. I learned so much history along the way. It was completely worth it and hard to believe we fit that much into one day.
