- Drivers' licenses issued by countries not covered by the 1949 Geneva Convention (such as China, Indonesia, Mexico, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, etc.) are not permitted to drive in Japan
- Participants must carry their physical International Driving Permit (or for exceptional countries listed above that requires a Japanese translation, the physical domestic license + official translation) and physical passport

We had an amazing experience with the street go-karting! Our guide was absolutely excellent, our safety and overall experience were clearly his top priorities from start to finish.
He made sure we stayed together at all times and didn’t miss any of the sights along the way, which really added to the enjoyment. Knowing we were in safe hands meant we could fully relax and enjoy what was such a fun and thrilling experience.

Great experience. Had a lot of fun. The only thing that would have made it better is if we had driven through Shibuya street but it was still a good experience. Definitely recommend if you’re visiting Tokyo.

The Tokyo Karting experience was great fun and Melina was a super guide - good energy, clear instructions, she made it extra enjoyable. I would have given 5 stars but I was disappointed to be asked for an extra payment on arrival for “insurance”. I believe this is simply a way to make more money from customers in cash as the business will have to be insured both for their own karts and for any third party liability. It wasn’t explained what this extra insurance related to - all a bit vague - and it was a shame because it left a slightly sour taste. When you’ve paid £80 for a 2 hour activity it’s a bit shady to then be asked for a further £8.50 / 1000 yen in cash on the day with no receipt, no information about the insurance cover and no plausible explanation!

That was an insane, terrifying, fun, disturbing, crazy and cool experience. Driving up to 70km/hr through the streets and over the massive bridges of Tokyo in traffic with no helmets. As I was doing it, I kept asking myself why I put my family in such a dangerous situation. Then kept telling myself to “trust the process”. When talking about it at the end of the tour even my teenager said he was scared. But it all worked well and our guide Gia was absolutely wonderful. She safely navigated us around, ensuring we never got caught in an intersection or that the group got split up. She also took amazing photos of our group. It was an exhilarating experience, but not for the faint of heart!

Smooth running of the trip, 2 hours in the kart and some photos taken for you. There is no time to get used to the kart before you are straight onto the main roads of Tokyo. Only do this if you are a confident driver and have no issue being amongst big vehicles (including lorries). The guides are always watching the group to ensure everyone is safe and well. Would have been good to get some info about the places we drove through as I was too busy concentrating to take note of where we were! If you want iconic scenes of Tokyo go for the Shibuya experience.

Safety is our absolute priority. Our guides focus entirely on navigating the group through traffic and ensuring everyone stays safe among the city’s larger vehicles. As you noted, it does require a high level of concentration. Our activity is a karting activity where you get an experience of driving around one of the routes of Tokyo streets and is not a guided tour and we don't provide historical or tourist information during the drive. We want our drivers to keep their eyes on the road. The focus is on the driving experience itself, navigating Tokyo’s roads safely while being closely supervised by our guides.

I had a fantastic time on the Mario Street Car tour in Tokyo with our guide, Benny. He was super cool, very helpful, and went out of his way to make sure everyone in the group felt safe throughout the ride. Benny also took tons of photos for us, which made the experience even more memorable.
The only downside was the amount of smoke and exhaust from the carts. By the end of the tour, my clothes smelled strongly of fumes, which took away a bit from the fun. I’d suggest adding some filters or improvements to reduce the exhaust—it would make the experience perfect.
Overall, Benny was an excellent guide and really elevated the tour. If the carts get a little upgrade, this would easily be a five-star adventure!

This was by far the best tour I’ve ever done!! This is the fix for the need for speed. Our guide, Gy, was awesome. He kept us safe while making the tour exciting and took awesome photos to share with us at the end for FREE! An awesome bonus!
The staff is great too, giving us all the needed information to drive safely through the streets of Tokyo. There’s nothing like this in the U.S., where I’m from, or any other country I’ve traveled to, so I’d rate this as a DO NOT MISS experience. I honestly can’t believe it’s legal to do!
