It’s a long day but worth the journey. Check for local holidays before booking. We went on a long weekend and both areas were completely overrun with locals and tourists. It made for a chaotic day. The island is beautiful and so much to offer and Hiroshima is hard to put into words . Simply have to experience it

John was a great tour...

John was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable and down to earth kind of guy. We had a lot of good food and drinks. 15 tastings at 5 places and 4 drinks of choice. If you're open to most foods, you shouldn't be hungry after this tour. And maximum of 9 people is a great size group. Definitely recommend.

Great Tour for Cruise Passengers!

We had a great time touring with Bosse. He picked us up on foot at the cruise terminal. We walked to the train station and headed to the Osaka Castle and walked the grounds. We took another train over to the location of a past World Expo then walked the city seeing shrines and temples. It was a good overview tour. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and prepare to walk. We walked over 23,000 steps in 5 hours. Lots of walking but felt like the locals. He made sure we got back to the ship with plenty of time to spare.

Kyoto in a day

What a great day with our new friend Ben. His knowledge of the Temples and Shrines we visited enhanced our day, Ben was also very knowledgeable about the Buddhist and Shinto beliefs. We mentioned conveyor belt sushi and he was instantly on board! He brought us to the restaurant where we all enjoyed our fill! Having an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide made all the difference with our one day in port. Ben knew when and where to be to get in and out of the busy areas while also seeing all the sights, he also helped us find authentic, reasonably priced souvenirs to remember our time. We made it back to port with plenty of time to spare. Great job Ben, we wish you the best!

3 main attractions in Kyoto all in one day!

Such a lovely tour of the 3 main sites to visit in Tokyo. You can literally spend all day at arameshi—- overall I thought it was worth it. It felt like having a personal assistant guide through the main attractions in Tokyo with quite a bit of rope to do various things. Sofia was wonderful— she sent detailed messages with links for different attractions at every stop. She had Google Maps link for all the spots so I literally could not get lost.

Great Tour for Cruise Passenger!

Hosei was a fantastic tour guide! He picked us up from the cruise terminal. He drove a clean, comfortable mini van that can comfortably hold 6 people (Four people if two are “healthier” wink wink). He had bottle water waiting for us which was nice considering the heat. Our tour took us to Kyoto and the Golden Temple, Arashiyama and the bamboo forest, the Samauri Museum, and finally the Fushimi shrine. It was a fantastic day! He recommended we take the rickshaw to see the bamboo forest and he was spot on. Taking the rickshaw for one hour is the way to go to save your legs from all the walking. The rickshaw carriers will make sure you get the most amazing pictures. It’s worth every penny. He also chose out lunch spot, which had great options and a clean bathroom. Overall, it was a fabulous day. We returned to the ship on time. I highly recommend the tour. Be sure to ask for Hosei!

A fabulous day in Kyoto!

We had the absolute best guide - Keiran! Yes, the pick up was easy, the bus driver was careful, the bus was comfortable, and the sights were perfect in capturing Kyoto in a day. BUT what made the experience so extraordinary was our guide. He was knowledgeable, friendly, provided excellent recommendations on food and omiyage, and went out of his way to lend his expertise on our travels. So blessed to have him lead our special day in a very special city!

Sumo...up close and personal !

Fun and informative presentation. Very personal and small space, with a presenter who spoke perfect English, and interacted well with the crowd. The wrestlers were fun, fit and happy to play along with the tourists .Would recommend, if you can't get to an actual Sumo match...I have a greater understanding and appreciation of this unique sport.
