We had lunch first and then 2 sumotori played with each other meanwhile a woman was giving some info.
People from the audience could participate and try to push those big guys.

It was a really fun experience. Food was good. Good information given about auno wrestling. The Sumo guys and the woman introduction them were all very entertaining!

This activity definitely punched above its weight! Initially, we looked into attending a live Sumo match, but unfortunately none of the tournaments were happening while we were in town so booked this as a best alternative after reading the reviews - REALLY glad we did! For those of us who are not really knowledgeable about Sumo, this was a perfect introduction to the sport and its history. We enjoyed hearing directly from the wrestlers about their experiences in and out of the ring, the food they prepared was delicious, and the opportunity to "wrestle" them in the ring was a memory we (and our teenage nephews) never forget!

A little bit of history, a whole lot of humour, we had so much fun at this event. The lunch was good, and the performance was excellent.

As first timers in Japan, we went to this tour knowing it was for tourists and it would be slightly cheesy. It exceeded our expectations. The meal was tasty but mediocre, exactly as expected. The show itself was a lot of fun. We learned a lot about Sumo wrestling. We were also smart enough not to challenge the 500 pound guys at the end, though it looked a lot of fun to try.

Fun experience. The wrestlers were very entertaining and we enjoyed the show. The food was terrible unless you like bland greasy pork filets.

Such a fun and positive experience! We enjoyed the history, the food, and the demonstration. We had time at the end to ask questions and take photos. The staff was very kind, quick to offer to take our photo, spoke English well and were easy to understand. The retired Sumo wrestlers seem to enjoy this work and had a bit of fun, making jokes, along the way. Totally family friendly! Also, very supportive of the kids (and adults) as they try their hand at battling the wrestlers. Definitely recommend.

These were real sumo wrestlers (daughter in law had seen one of them in a wrestling match in San Diego)
The explanation in English of traditions customs and moves was great.
Lunch was fine dining and filling

The experience was very family friendly and fun! The interaction with the sumo wrestlers was unique and interesting.
The food was okay, we didn’t really eat that much hit other people did, but the experience is really what it is about! Definitely worth doing!

It was a really fun thing to do in Tokyo! The food was fantastic and actually cooked by some of the sumo wrestlers. They explained some of the history of sumo and the rules before they actually demonstrated the sumo, and in the background they were playing clips from an actual sumo tournament. The wrestlers (and all the staff) were super nice and we were allowed to challenge them at the end if we wanted to. Overall very fun activity!

Our family very much enjoyed the sumo show experience with Jambo and Diko. We found the balance of audience interaction with not being too pushy to get involved perfect. Highly recommend this activity as the meal provided including chanko soup and tonkatsu delicious as well!

A light hearted way to gain information about Japanese culture and sport. Very funny and very well run. The food was amazing too.
Anthony_P, Jan 2026
This actually ended up being super fun. The food was surprisingly really really good, and the sumo performances were really well done. They explained the history of sumo and all the rules, they showed us exercises and techniques before having matches. Then they actually let us try sumo against the actual wrestlers. This is a must-do if you’re in the area and I loved that it was a lunch time activity in the middle of the day. Great experience.
Stephanie_G, Jan 2026
It was our second time here and it was so much fun. We came for the tonkatsu lunch and show. Learned so much and was very entertained. Everyone gets to wrestle if you’d like and that’s the best part !
harvey_g, Jan 2026

This was such a fun and engaging experience. While they could have served a little more food at dinner time (we all left hungry), the staff and the sumo wrestlers were very engaging and entertaining. I highly recommend this tour.
