We saw Mount Fuji and ate some black eggs!! 10/10. Kousei is an amazing guide. He is knowledgeable and passoniate. Would recommend doing this one.

Yousei, he was good and friendly guide however the tour itself was a bit rush. We didn't get time to enjoy most of the destinated attractions. Each of the places we visited we barely had time to enjoy the scenery!!! Take a few photos and we had to rush back to the bus just to be in time for the departure. Due to others being on time Yousei skipped the other Lake and we all agreed to thay so we can spent more time on the second last destination, which was great.
Also, the lunch was NOT good for 3,000 Yen. In comparison to another tour and their lunch buffet for 1,600 Yen which was much better than your lunch. Also we didn't have our lunch till almost 3pm!!
All in all the only thing nice was the tour guide, Yousei! Thank you Yousei for making the tour bearable.

Fantastic day - Mt Fuji was visable clearly. Guide was funny and cute with lots of knowledge about the area. Boat trip was fun and the shrine was beautiful. Highly recommend this tour. It was exceptional value for money. Ask for Erik, the tall guy.

The tour was good but it was too fast. We were always in a hurry. But the tour guide Jack was very nice.

Our trip to the Hakone and Mt. Fuji areas was fun, well planned, and easy to navigate for families. Kousei was a very kind, organized and clear tour guide and he made the experience very happy and enjoyable.
Veronica_F, Jun 2026
The tour with Kousei was great. He was very knowledgeable about where we could look to see Mount Fuji.

Skip the optional food stop. The food and location weren't great. I would've brought my own bento box. Otherwise, the tour was great, and Tomi, the guide, was pretty good.

Kousei was a great guide, very knowledgeable and pleasant. Enjoyed the day on a wonderful excursion. Thank you

If you have limited time in Tokyo I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s a very long day with most of the time spent on a bus. According to our guide there is a 10% chance you will see Mt Fuji. The additional stops were very short with the lunch stop being underwhelming. I’ve been on previous trips where the guide has given commentary on points of interest and general knowledge about the areas passing through. Given the majority of the trip was on the bus there is a definite opportunity for improvement here.

There is no predicting the weather. Even if it is raining and cloudy, it is still a very nice day out. We stopped and had lunch, paid for on the bus. Meals are around 1500-3000 yen. So plan to carry some extra cash if you want this option. The boat is also well worth it.

Jack was an incredible tour guide, very nice, knowledgeable and friendly. It was a great day tour experience
Polina_P, Jun 2026
Our guide Kousei was really friendly and provided us with interesting information about the places we visited. We recommend this tour as you will see shrines, two beautiful lakes, Mount Fuji and a small village with mountains Fuji glacier water ponds.

Kousei was fantastic! Such a great tour. We got lucky and Mt. Fuji came out of the clouds. Highly recommend.
Hiren_D, Jun 2026
It was a wonderful experience. JACK was an amazing and very helpful guide. Eating the icecream at Mt. Fuji is a must.
Loretta_R, Jun 2026
Activities felt very rushed. Arrived at each destination and had to return to the bus within 25 - 30 min. Not enough time to take in the history and enjoy the area.
Lunch was not until 2:00 and it was subpar.
Tour guide Jack was great. On point and very organized. Driver was very friendly. Beeps his horn a lot, but he did avoid an accident on our return trip when someone cut the bus off way to close!
Maybe skip swan lake.

Poorly located next to the busiest train station in Tokyo.
Poor directions were given via Google maps through the train station
Guide said meet at West exit
Could not find it.
No refund given.
Go other services.
Very disappointed.

Tour guide was knowledgeable and made sure no one got lost in the group.
Hakone stops were better than Mount Fuji stops.

Kousei was a great tour guide on our adventure to and around Mt Fuji. Lunch was delicious but too much food . Would recommend to anyone visiting Japan.
Uriel_L, Jun 2026
Kousei was a great tour guide! He made sure that we were taking the best pictures and kept all of us on time. They took us to the places as written in our itinerary and we were in route back at 4:30pm as planned. Thank you and will definitely do it again!
Elias_V, Jun 2026
It was great! Friendly and informative. Our tour guide Kousei was awesome! Very funny and helpful! Many stops that had cool stuff to see! Our tour was during a typhoon and they still allowed us to go. The rain was only for one stop during the tour.
Gubjorg_B, Jun 2026
This was a very nice trip. Kousei the guide was very helpful and nice. We had a good time. And we saw Mount Fuji witch was the highlight of the trip. Kind regards to Kousei from Guðbjörg and Egill

An amazing day out led by Kousei to see Fuji - we were very lucky to have a clear day for a short time. Kousei was great: very informative and friendly. Recommended trip.

If we had more time in Japan, I think it would have been a better experience to go at our own pace and not do the tour. Unfortunately, the tour felt very rushed. I feel that some tourist spots could have been eliminated to allow more time to explore in other areas. We had 20 minutes (max) to get out off the bus, explore, take a few pictures and then get back on the bus to go to the next tourist spot.; some spots felt very much like a tourist trap and not worth exploring.
Although it was amazing to see Mt Fuji, the gondola up the mountain was nice and the lake was beautiful - all of it felt very rushed. Because it felt so rushed and forced (the guide was on a mission to ensure we stopped at every designated location, without considering the lack of time we had to enjoy any of it!), I would not recommend this tour. I would have rather spent my 12 hour day (!) exploring more of Tokyo (or any other city in Japan). Mt. Fuji is a beautiful area that deserved more time to explore and enjoy.
Safeer_K, Jun 2026
It was a very enjoyable tour. We visited many interesting places in and around the Hakone and Mt. Fuji area. The ropeway was probably the highlight of the trip, followed by the fascinating volcanic area with its sulphur fumes and geothermal activity.
Our guide, Kousei, was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and very cooperative, always wearing a smile. His enthusiasm and helpful nature made the tour even more enjoyable.
Overall, it was a great experience. However, I had expected to get closer to the base of Mt. Fuji, which was not the case. In addition, travelers should allow extra time to find the meeting point in Tokyo, as Tokyo Station is extremely large and can be confusing to navigate. It might also help if the tour company used slightly larger flags, since there are often many groups carrying similar flags with only small differences in the numbers, making them difficult to distinguish quickly.
Despite these minor issues, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would recommend it to others.

Fantastic experience. Captain Jack was extremely helpful and informative, and we had great views of Mount Fuji.

We had a wonderful experience on our tour of Hakone with Erik and appreciated his insights and humour throughout the day. The trip was extremely well organized and we now have memories of seeing Mt Fuji to share. Thank you to Erik for his hard work!
Karina_S, May 2026
Great way to see highlights of the many spots around Hakone and Mt Fuji conveniently and get a sampling of the area’s major sites. Inspired to come back again and see more in depth further, as our guide Tom was very knowledgeable and extremely organized. Driver also very great and friendly! Felt safe navigating challenging traffic and a demanding itinerary. Had a lot of fun! Though we came on a busy day with bad traffic that then took extra travel time, Tom managed to organize our time efficiently to still make it to all of the points of interest! Kudos to Tom and driver! Highly recommend this tour if you are trying to see many different places around Tokyo and trying to work in day trips. Very enjoyable! Thank you!

For the Hakone Mt Fuji tour Kousei was our tour guide.
Very efficient, very prompt in responding.
We set off sharp on time.
Kousei shared his insights and relevant anecdotes . It was a bright sunny day. We had awesome view of Mount Fuji.
Pirate ship ride, cable car ride were pleasant and memorable.
Some facts about Mt Fuji
Here are some fascinating facts about Mount Fuji:
🗻 1. Japan's Tallest Mountain
Mount Fuji stands at 3,776 metres (12,389 feet), making it the highest mountain in Japan.
🌋 2. It Is an Active Volcano
Although it looks serene, Mount Fuji is an active volcano. Its last eruption, known as the Hōei Eruption, occurred in 1707–1708 and covered parts of present-day Tokyo with volcanic ash.
🏔️ 3. Not One, But Three Volcanoes
Geologists believe Mount Fuji was formed by the overlapping activity of three successive volcanoes over hundreds of thousands of years.
🚅 4. It Can Be Seen From Tokyo
On exceptionally clear days, Mount Fuji is visible from parts of Tokyo, about 100 km away.
🎨 5. An Artistic Superstar
Mount Fuji has inspired countless artists, most famously Katsushika Hokusai, whose famous series Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji includes the iconic "Great Wave."
🚶 6. Hundreds of Thousands Climb It
During the official climbing season (July–September), hundreds of thousands of people ascend Fuji, many starting at night to witness the spectacular Goraikō (sunrise from the summit).
🗾 7. A UNESCO World Heritage Site
In 2013, Mount Fuji was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site—not primarily for geology, but for its profound cultural and spiritual significance.
⛩️ 8. A Sacred Mountain
For centuries, Fuji has been revered in the Japanese faith tradition. Pilgrims often visited shrines around its base before attempting the ascent.
❄️ 9. The Snow Cap Isn't Permanent
Contrary to many postcards, Mount Fuji is not snow-covered year-round. Snow usually appears in autumn and melts significantly during summer.
📏 10. Almost Perfectly Symmetrical
Its remarkably symmetrical cone is one reason it is considered among the most beautiful mountains in the world. However, careful observation reveals subtle irregularities caused by past eruptions.
🏃 11. There Is a Race Around It
The annual Fuji Around-the-Mountain Race covers roughly 100 km around the mountain's base—far more exhausting than simply admiring it from a hot spring!
💰 12. Climbing Was Once Free
Historically, climbing Fuji was free. Today, climbers are generally asked to pay a conservation fee to help preserve trails and facilities.
🌍 13. Fuji Has Its Own Weather
The summit can be 20°C or more colder than the surrounding lowlands, and weather can change dramatically within minutes.
🎩 A Curious Comparison
Mount Fuji is so culturally important to Japan that it appears in art, literature, school textbooks, tourism campaigns, company logos, and even on Japanese currency and stamps. Few mountains anywhere in the world enjoy such iconic status.

The tour proved to be a great tour for us 4 ladies. We were very fortunate that we had fantastic weather and were able to view Mt Fuji in all its glory. It was a big day out but well worth the effort. We weren't too impressed by the pure water spot but it was interesting learning about it. Otherwise all other parts we rated very highly.
