Great experience and you get to see some of the best spots near Mt. Fuji and get incredible views from multiple locations (depending on the weather and visibility on your visit). Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and made the experience very smooth and fun.
Don’t get me wrong. Our tour guide for that day was great. Her name is Momo. She did everything she could given the situation. I would gladly recommend her to anyone who needs a reliable tour guide in Tokyo.
I gave the tour a 2-star because the weather was really bad, raining all day long and the tour company knew the visibility at Mt Fuji was less than 10% at best. Since we were there to see Mt Fuji, shouldn’t the company offer at least a change of date the night before? I was in Melbourne a while ago taking another Viator tour to the 12 Apostles. The weather forecast was very bad so the tour company called me up the night before and offered a change of date, which I gladly took.
As this was not the case in Tokyo, we went on the long day trip anyway not being able to catch one tiny glimpse of Mt Fuji. It was really not a pleasant experience.
So my advice to fellow travellers if they were to take the same itinerary, be sure the weather permits.

Momo the tour guide was excellent! She was very professional and very knowledgeable about the beautiful sites we visited. Although it was a cloudy and rainy day, we are able to make the best of it following the guidance of Momo. She was very witty and provided really good recommendations!
The itinerey speaks for itself, Mt. Fuji and the surrounding area is lush and beautiful. I went with my 20 year old Son and we both enjoyed it very much! What a beautiful day! The sun FINALLY came out in September. The sun combined with Silver Week traffic made for a very long ride. Our Driver and our FANTASTIC guide got us all there and back safely! Akira(Sandy) was a wonderful person and made sure we were all taken care of throughout the long day. Its great when you feel truly taken cared for.

The 5-star rating relates really to An’Tong for her courtesy, professionalism, knowledge and patience. Also the driver was superb; not only skilled but also attentive and kept the bus clean after every stop. He made sure we returned to a clean bus - including all the exterior windows!! The stop for an early lunch was also well coordinated and the food was good. To me, the tour itself is just OK. Yes, you do see beautiful rural areas of Japan. Yes, it is enjoyable to see the mountainous terrain as we drive to the various stops, which all focus on views of Mt. Fuji, but given the high altitude and the just-as high potential for clouds, there seems to be a stronger probability of not seeing Mt. Fuji. But here again, AnTong came prepared. She showed us pictures and provided descriptions that helped us better visualize the obstructed views.
Although traffic is out of anyone’s control, you spend more time on the bus. On our way there, it took us 6 hours to get to the village where you get food. Bringing cash with you is a must!!!!
The village is lovely but it’s crowded. WiFi is available.
The only stop we experienced was the temple with the infamous view. Great sight, good workout, but you never leave on time from the spots because people don’t take the time serious or the guide doesn’t gather the people up in a timely manner.
Our guide, Christy, was nice, but she could’ve done a better job at informing us instead of quizzing us.
Overall, I would never do this trip again or recommend it. You don’t experience everything because of the traffic. You leave at 8:30 am from the meeting spot which I think it’s a bit late plus the rush hour traffic!!!!
Such a wonderful way to learn more about Japanese culture. We look the kintsugi workshop, and had such a great time with Sensei Mao that we came back the next day to make chopsticks with her and Sensei Meguymi.
Great experience, covers all aspects - lakes, ponds, multiple lookout points, lunch spot, Yukon our guide was fantastic, knowledgeable and works for the group,
We had an amazing time with Akira our guide…. Transfers, timing, everything was impecable, I would definitely recommend this as an option if staying in tokyo
The tour company should warn you at least a day in advance if the weather will prevent any views of mt Fuji. Also, I was disappointed that the guide was not more informative during the long drive.

This tour was highly organised from start to finish. The guide was very knowledgeable and always happy to answer our questions. She sent us lots of photos and gave us interesting facts. All the locations we visited were interesting and so thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Out guide was An and we had a female bus driver, who drive superbly and safely. Highly recommend.
Weather was bad and raining, could not experience the main purpose of visit, but the sight seeing was good, need to check weather forecast before booking

great day trip! My tour guide Aoi was so funny and kind and made the journey so much more enjoyable! didn’t really expect to see much during this rainy season but thoroughly surprised and appreciated the options to have free solo time to explore.

Such a great day out seeing so many different areas. Although it was cloudy and Mount Fuji was visible we really enjoyed the tour. Aoi was a great guide who really helped us enjoy the day and kept us well updated through WhatsApp.
This tour was amazing. Our tour guide Aoi and the bus driver were perfect, felt very safe with the driver and very informed by Aoi. There was plenty to see and it ran like clock work. Highly recommend.
Aoi and our bus driver were amazing! Super friendly, punctual, and knowledgeable. We got to experience so much in a limited time. We are already making our plans to return. I would recommend bringing some water, yen, and a light jacket.
Eric was our guide he is detailed and spoke clearly. The only thing is we went on a bad weather day so we didn't get to see Mt. Fuji, however it was nice to see the country side. I feel we had enough time for each stop but due to the weather we could have skipped one stop which we can't see anything anyways
