- Small group package: 7:00-8:30 Door-to-door transfer from hotels in some districts of Tokyo Metropolitan area, driver and guide, no detailed explanation, fewer people, more comfortable vehicle.
- Kawaguchiko Gondola to be repaired from Dec. 10 to Dec. 20. You will take the Sengoku Boat instead.Don't buy it if you want to use the Gondola.
- Traffic jams may occur on weekends and red days, so if you are worried about traffic jams, you can avoid joining the tour on weekends or red days.
- During the trip, please carry your passport and valuables with you and keep them safe. If there is any loss, theft, damage, etc., you will be responsible for it yourself.
- Please note that if you fail to participate or cancel the trip due to personal problems, lateness, etc., no fees will be refunded.
- If you choose [small group] package, please inform customer service of the address of your hotel or B&B after placing the order to confirm whether it is within the scope of the transfer.
- Travel time is included on the total duration.
- Cloudy/rainy days reduce visibility, possibly obscuring Mt. Fuji. Check the weather forecast before traveling to plan accordingly.
- One-day trip itinerary, it is not recommended to carry luggage, if you need to carry luggage, please register clearly when you book your order. 1 luggage is allowed per person. An extra 100 yuan per piece will be charged if you failed to make a note when booking your order or if it turns out more than 1 piece of luggage per guest.
- A foldable stroller can be carried. Please inform customer service when placing an order to avoid being rejected.
- Kachikachi Mountain Cable Car at Lake Kawaguchi: Weekdays Operating Hours: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (last descent at 4:20 PM) Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays Extended Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (last descent at 5:20 PM) *Note: The cable car may be suspended due to strong winds, lightning, or other reasons. (This is a complimentary activity. If the cable car cannot be taken due to weather conditions, the itinerary will be changed to a ride on the Sengoku Warrior Boat at Lake Kawaguchi or the ticket fee will be refunded.)

It was a great day! We had sunny weather and the views were incredible. The best part was our wonderful tour guide Sawaki, who was very kind, knowledgeable, and funny. We really lucked out by getting him as our guide. His English was great and he gave us a lot of great info as we went along. I’d recommend this tour wholeheartedly!

We had a great day on the Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi tour! Even though we couldn't do the ropeway because it was closed for maintenance, the tour company arranged a scenic boat ride on Lake Kawaguchi instead, which was a lovely alternative with beautiful views.
Our tour guide, Sia, was fantastic. She was incredibly friendly, informative, and made the day so enjoyable. She shared lots of interesting information throughout the tour and was always happy to take photos for everyone, which we really appreciated.
One of our favourite parts of the day was trying the ice cream at one of the stops—it was absolutely delicious! The lunch was also amazing just needed to remember to have cash. Overall, the tour was well organised, the scenery was stunning, and we had a wonderful experience. We'd definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Japan!

It was a cloudy day so we were unable to see the mountain or ride the gondola. The boat ride on lake kawaguchi was an ok alternative but the gondola would have been better. Our lunch was at a restaurant, pre-booked by the tour and was pretty good. I would have preferred to eat at the park with the springs. They had more options to choose from. Overall, a nice day but we will have to come back on a less cloudy day to see the full glory of the Mt. Fuji.

A really lovely and organized experience. Easy to do for all ages. We were fortunate to have a clear view of Mount Fuji at a latter point during the tour! Also, our tour guide, Sia, was kind and helpful. I will flag that the shuttle bus doesn’t have a bathroom, but at least the longest we went without stopping was about two hours. Overall, I highly recommend!!

Traffic jam was unbelievable. Took 3+ hours to go and 4+ hours back. Spent 10 minutes on the ropeway and had to head back down on the cable car because of the long line going up and back down. In total we spent a bit over an hour for macha culture, Lawson store, Oishi park and Ropeway. We stopped for lunch (not included in price and quality is mediocre) which lasted 40 minutes; waited 45 mins for the cable car at the lake and skipped Oshino Hakkai. It was a total disappointment and bad experience.

It’s a bit long winded I think. We stopped for a photo stop at some random convenience store just because Mount Fuji was in the background (a waste of time) and then there was a restaurant stop for lunch. A number of us had a packed lunch with us and had no where to eat it other than along a busy road as there was no eating allowed on the coach. The tea ceremony was very quick and not at all traditional. We had been to a tea ceremony earlier in our holiday. It was done on the floor with English explanations and full participation, this one was very rushed, done sat at a table and with no historical background or explanation of the significance.
Mount Fuji was good but the trip was longer than needed in my opinion.

Although we couldn't get on the cable car due to strong wind, we were very fortunate to see Mt. Fuji clearly all day. Olivia, our tour guide, was fantastic and managed the big group pretty well. Highly recommended.

Our tour operator Joe left us and left after the first stop. I understand we were late by 7 min . He did call and I called back like7 times soon after we got to where the buses were but he left and did not pick up his phone. My husband and I had to take a taxi which cost us usd$50 to get to the next stop. He WhatsApp’s to tell us where to meet after I sent him messages and calls which he did not respond to. On our stop at Mount Fuji another patron was late getting back in the bus and this time I noticed he waited 9 min and the patron returned on the bus. Highly unprofessional for a tour guide to leave his passengers when he knows we are all tourists. I can underdtand if we were over 10 months late but that was not the case. This certainly out a damper on our whole trip.

The experience was amazing with Sia, her communication was spot on! We really enjoyed this tour even though it was raining and cloudy. We could not see Mt. Fuji due to the weather. Didn't feel rushed at the different sites we went too. The bus ride is about a 2 hour ride out to Mt. Fuji and the bus we rode did not have bathroom facility(so plan accordingly). There are 2 pickup points which I didn't realize when I booked it.

Beautiful scenery, not a lot of time to enjoy each location. The pacing of the tour felt rushed and not well planned for tourists who aren't used to the large crowds and long lines in Japan. The guide was knowledgeable about the area and gave useful advice for souvenir and snack shopping.

Good tour however you cannot ever predict if the weather will be on your side and we got lucky to see Mount Fuji , but some of my friends went different day and say it was cloudy. So it’s 50/50 chances but tour was good

you can really see mount Fiji from different angles if th weather is not cloudy. we had a wonderful day and could see mount Fuji all the time. the views of Lake Kawaguchi are lovely and the view on top after the ropeway is breathtaking. the entire trip was very relaxing and our guide Wasaki was extremely nice and extremely responsive before the trip and during the trip. Was contacted by the operator the evening before the tour that our already booked and paid spot was sold out?! Bit absurd but Viator’s excellent customer service managed to re-book to a smaller group.

We checked your reservation and confirmed you booked the tour for November 7th (Japan time) on November 6th—this was an extremely last-minute booking, with only one day between your reservation and departure. Our team worked diligently to secure a spot in our regular bus tour, but due to high demand during peak season, we were unable to finalize it. To ensure you wouldn’t miss the tour entirely, we reached out to you while your booking was still in "pending" status (not yet confirmed) to propose switching to a smaller group. We’re grateful you agreed to the adjustment, and we’re relieved you could still enjoy the tour as planned.
2. About the organized restaurant running out of food
We apologize unreservedly for this frustrating experience. During peak travel seasons, scenic areas like Mt. Fuji see a sudden surge in visitors, and there was a lapse in our coordination with the restaurant—we failed to anticipate the high demand for ingredients and didn’t inform guests in advance. We have since followed up with our partner restaurant to strengthen their inventory management and establish a real-time update system, so this issue won’t recur.
3. Regarding the Lawson store stop
We understand this stop didn’t meet your expectations—its original purpose was to offer practical amenities (restrooms, snacks, water refills) and a photo opportunity (it’s a popular "Instagram-worthy" spot on clear days). We recognize not all guests may value this stop, so we will add a note about it in our tour itinerary description to set clearer expectations, and our team will also check in with guests during the tour to see if they prefer to skip it (when logistically possible).
4. About the uncomfortable van
Thank you for bringing this to our attention—passenger comfort is a top priority for us. We have already shared your feedback with our local team and are discussing options to upgrade to more comfortable vehicles for this route. We will monitor the situation closely and make adjustments as soon as possible.

Host very nice, was a shame there was some cloud over Mount Fugi but I liked the Japanese gardens. At the meeting point I arrived 30 min early and there was many yellow flags it was difficult to find my guide. It does feel slightly rush you don't get long enough to see each site but by the end of the day you are quite tired so maybe it's best that way otherwise it's a long day. I booked the evening before. However the girl next to me booked on another site and it was £30 cheaper which was abit disappointing. The food though provided was really good... I would have breakfast before you go as we ate around 1.30pm. I think for a really good view you need to be at the Mount Fugi very early, earlier than the tour in my opinion

We arrived early, the tour guide arrived late and told us we weren’t on the list. I showed her our confirmation and our booking info and she said you’re not in the list. She asked our name 4 times and when I told her she kept saying “No, your name” until I said yes “Yes that is our name, that is why I’m saying it”. She said no you’re not on the list, the.called her boss who did not answer.
She did eventually let us on the bus, where she spoke in Chinese for 25 minutes over the loud crackly bus speaker, seemingly without taking a breath. She then spoke in 25 minutes in English which was equally annoying.
It was a wet cold day, so Mount Fuji was completely hidden by cloud, so the trip was mostly going from one tourist trap shop to another. We were told we would have a ten minute tea ceremony, which lasted about 5 minutes and consisted of a tiny amount of matcha tea, the given 20 minutes to shop in an overpriced store.
The garden was nice, though the ice cream shop was again an overpriced tourist trap, and the village was beautiful and very nice to walk through and we would have preferred more time there than being driven to shops.
The lunch was on but over priced, and driving to the convenience store in a day without seeing the mountain seemed pointless.
Overall, we felt quite annoyed by the tour and the tourist trap stores. Perhaps we would have forgiven this if we saw the mountain, but we were glad when it was over.
We would not recommend this tour to any one.

1. Issue with Name Verification and Boarding
We operate multiple tour routes in Japan, but there are only 5-6 fixed pick-up points. This means you may see several GoGoDay buses and guides at one pick-up point. For each route, we may arrange multiple buses based on the number of participants, and each guest is assigned to a specific bus.
To avoid confusion, we send the license plate number of your assigned bus and your guide’s contact information to you one day before your trip. The guide repeatedly verified your name because, although you were booked for the same route, you were not initially assigned to her bus. Fortunately, there were empty seats on her bus. After communicating with our company, she kindly allowed you to board, ensuring you could still enjoy the same tour itinerary.
2. Noisy Bus Speaker
We sincerely apologize for the annoyance caused by the crackly and loud bus speaker. We have already forwarded this issue to our relevant team to investigate solutions—including adjusting the speaker volume overall or replacing the speakers with ones that offer better sound quality.
Please understand that the guide used the bus speaker to ensure all passengers on the bus could clearly hear the tour introduction, and this was never intended to cause you frustration.
3. Mt. Fuji Hidden by Clouds Due to Weather
We deeply regret that you encountered unfavorable weather on your tour day, which resulted in Mt. Fuji being completely hidden by clouds. However, this is an unavoidable weather-related force majeure factor.
To help you plan your trips better and avoid similar disappointments from weather, we would like to remind you to check the latest weather forecast before departure. Additionally, this tour is covered by our "Reserve Now & Pay Later" policy. This allows you to monitor weather conditions closely—if the weather is likely to affect your travel experience, you can choose to pause the payment process.

I’ve used Viator tours before and it was always great. Our recent tour due to heavy traffic and was beyond control of bus driver/guide had us rushing through each event which made it difficult to enjoy each attraction. The itinerary was great otherwise.

We completely understand how heavy traffic, which is indeed beyond our control, can impact the enjoyment of a well-planned itinerary, and we regret that it prevented you from fully appreciating each attraction.
Please know that our guides are trained to manage such situations to the best of their ability while prioritizing guest safety. Your feedback regarding the pace is invaluable, and we will use it in our ongoing efforts to review and optimize our schedules where possible.
The main reasons for these issues are that your travel date fell on a weekend or a "Red Day" in Japan. "Red Days" refer to Japan's public holidays, which are marked in red on Japanese calendars. During weekends and Red Days, there is usually severe traffic congestion on the roads to Mt. Fuji, and there are also long queues at the scenic area for the ropeway due to the large number of tourists. Additionally, according to Japanese tour bus regulations, a bus can only be used for a maximum of 10 hours a day. To comply with this regulation, the time spent at the scenic spots had to be shortened, which resulted in the tour taking longer than the originally planned 9 hours and the short stay at the viewing point.
We would also like to clarify that there is a relevant reminder in the "Additional Info" section of our tour booking page, which states: "Traffic jams may occur on weekends and red days, so if you are worried about traffic jams, you can avoid joining the tour on weekends or red days." However, due to the large amount of content in the "Additional Info" section, it was folded, causing you to miss this important information before your trip. We are currently in the process of adjusting the content order on the booking page. We will move such important reminders to a more prominent and earlier position so that they can be easily noticed by customers. Furthermore, we will upload the Red Days calendar to our image library, making it convenient for you to check the dates when you make a booking in the future.
