If you are late for the tour start time, you will not be able to join the tour mid-way.
We will attend an alternative place instead of 5th station due to traffic regulation of Mt Fuji hill climb on 7th June.
Please handle the loading and unloading of your luggage from the trunk yourself. (Including wheelchairs, stroller etc..)
The buffet offers the same menu for all guests, but there are dishes that vegetarians and those seeking Muslim-friendly options can enjoy. However, please note that we do not cater to following dietary requirements: Vegan, Halal, Pure vegetarian, Gluten free, and Allergy-friendly meals.
All weekend and Japanese public holiday tours will depart only from Shinjuku at 7:30 to avoid the traffic congestion.

Cross your fingers there isn't a traffic jam

I've never left a negative review before, but I'm hoping this will help someone make an informed decision regarding their time and money. I'm sure this is a great tour, however we unexpectedly hit a lot of traffic, which was completely out of everyone's control - including the tour operator. That said, it changed the itinerary quite a bit. We had 25 minutes at lunch rather than an hour (this was enough time). But we then had 35 mintutes at Fuji followed by the 30 minute boat ride. The gondola was cut out completely due to time. The tour guide also told us the lineup at the gondola was very long - so the admission tickets that are attached to this tour fee clearly aren't considered "front of the line." We requested a partial refund, at least for the admission fee, but it was denied. After speaking with Viator, and then the tour operator directly, they eventually said that alternative plans were put in place of the gondola ride. This was completely untrue. I told them the tour guide didn't say anything about cutting the gondola until we were leaving the first site, and until that point had only said time would be cut down at each activity. Which everyone on the bus agreed to. After insisting to customer service there wasn't a supplementary activity they suggested the free postcard and magnet given at the end were considered the substitute. This must have slipped their mind in the phone conversation, they brought it up in their follow up email. We booked a few others with (I guess third-party) viator and they were all great, but the tour company that operated this particular one wasn't. The tour guide representing them, Yuta, was friendly and informative but didn't communicate things well at all. We boarded the bus at 7:50 am and got off the train at Tokyo station around 7:00/7:30 pm. Of that time, we spent 25 minutes at lunch, 35 minutes at Fuji and 30 minutes on the boat. 90 minutes of activity of the 12 hour day of travel. And for the gondola cancellation we got a postcard. There were 8 of us in our party, and if we did it again, even though we couldn't see Fuji, we'd still book it. We'd just make sure we did it with a company that's more transparent.

Disappointing Experience – Major Highlights Missed

Our tour guide, Lovely, was friendly, organised and did the best she could with the situation. She kept everyone informed throughout the day, and I have no complaints about her at all. Unfortunately, the tour itself was extremely disappointing and did not deliver what was advertised. We arrived at Mt Fuji 5th Station so late that visibility was completely gone, making the stop essentially pointless. The advertised Lake Ashi cruise and Hakone Ropeway were cancelled, yet we were taken on a short swamp/lake boat ride instead, which was not a comparable experience. These are major highlights of the tour and were replaced with something of much lower value. We also spent an excessive amount of time on the bus, not returning to Tokyo until around 8:00 pm after a very long day. The itinerary was poorly managed, and the timing meant we missed the best opportunity to see Mt Fuji. I would not recommend this tour.

Instead, we arranged an alternative sightseeing stop so that guests could still enjoy part of the Hakone area rather than spending additional time in traffic. We understand that this alternative did not provide the same experience as the original itinerary, and we sincerely regret your disappointment. We also understand how frustrating it was to arrive at Mt. Fuji 5th Station after visibility had deteriorated and to return to Tokyo later than expected. Loved the day. It was nice to escape the heat of the city in July. The tour description should state a jacket or long sleeve is suggested for the mountain. It was windy and cool up there. We weren’t there for very long, so it was okay without. The views were perfect. Our tour guide, Mai, was very good. She helped us learn about the area and even taught us Japanese. The lunch buffet was very nice and the views of Mt Fuji from the gardens were perfect. The boat cruise was nice and relaxing as you get to experience a different part of the country.

It was mid. Long day on the bus

It was a Saturday, where visibility was projected to be very good. However, not only did we go, but many many other visitors from Tokyo also decided to go; therefore, there was heavy traffic on the way to Mount Fuji. What was supposed to be a two hour shuttle bus ride turned into almost a four hour bus ride. We ate lunch first as soon as we got there, and it was good. But we had to rush to station 5, then to the lake. We did catch glimpses of Mount Fuji and it was beautiful.; but again, it was very, very rushed and most of the time was spent on the shuttle bus. Due to the delay, we were not able to go on the gondola ride, so we feel somewhat cheated on this tour.

Fuji is about 100 and few kilometers away from Tokyo and also our tour incorporates traveling to Hakone area (another prefecture from where Mt. Fuji is), it hence results for the bus ride to get a little extended. With this, our tour takes you to 3 different prefectures in one day which if one had to do on their own would not be possible at any cost. The sites where beautiful. Would have been nice to have been able to spend some more time visiting each destination. Mt Fuji we got about 30 minutes. Ropeway was very limited time. Would love to have had time for photos and a visit to souvenier shop. I would say about 80% of the time is spent on the bus. The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. Super easy meetup. Great directions. Bathroom break before leaving on a 2 hour bus ride. Lovely, our guide, was amazing. Super funny and engaging the whole tour. Lots of fun facts and lots of personal stories. Mount Fuji was excellent, about a half an hour at station 5 which was plenty of time. Lunch was ok, decent food buffet style. At the lunch spot there is a beautiful Japanese garden and ninja games. After that was gondola and boat tour. Gondolas were awesome, great views and spectacular sights. The boat tours was quick, 25 minutes, but a highlight of the tour. Super great information and communication from Lovely, your was amazing and relaxing. The your was well worth the price paid, we would do it again in a heartbeat.

Poor weather

In all fairness the weather wasn’t good. Thankfully Yuta was great but without question we simply weren’t allowed enough time at the 5th stage on the mtn. When you arrive there are numerous buses and the facilities are overwhelmed. Had the weather been good it would have made the experience better. I thought we were gonna ride on the pirate ship which we did not but all in all nice trip. Heck I want to hike Mt Fiji 😎

We covered a lot of area and had a tremendous guide who kept us well informed and was available for any and all questions! We got several glimpses of Mt Fugi, a rare occurrence. The bullet trip back to Tokyo was only 30 minutes but worth the additional cost and two hour bus ride.

The weather was extremely bad, and I made several attempts to reschedule the tour for another day. While I understand your 24-hour cancellation policy, it was very obvious before the tour even began that we would not be able to see or experience any of the attractions we paid for. Instead of allowing us to reschedule, your company assured us that you would "make the best of it." Unfortunately, everything included in the tour was canceled. We saw none of the advertised attractions and instead spent the day gift shopping. We were even told this doesn't normally happen, yet our tour guide just so happened to previously mention a random castle that we end up seeing when everything was canceled. Blaming the experience entirely on the weather is poor customer service when it was clear from the beginning that the tour could not be delivered as advertised. I will be contacting all appropriate parties, including my bank, to request a full refund. The bus was packed and many of the people were quietly looking over their documentation to make complaints. I am sure it is normally an amazing tour, but the company knew what they were doing. This was just WRONG!
