The tour pick up location was easy to locate. The tour bus left exactly at 8AM. We arrived around 10AM at Mount Fuji and blessed with a clear sky and amples amount of sunshine! It has been a life long dream of mine to visit Fuji-San and it happened! I highly recommend visiting in the late Fall or Winter Season to have a better chance of seeing Mount Fuji. The 5th. Station has gift shops, restaurants, restrooms, beautiful vistas and a lovely Shinto shrine located behind the buildings. After this stop, we were off to a buffet lunch and were served an array of both Japanese and Western cuisine. There was also more chances to take more photos and do some souvenir shopping. Our next destination was Hakone and we were on the ropeway and funicular which was interesting. Then our last stop was at Lake Ashi and took a boat ride. Overall, what a lovely day in rural and mountainous Japan and our tour guide Lovely was wonderful, fantastic and super helpful. She sat with me and helped me navigate the bullet train and I am forever grateful for her help. Lovely also taught us about the history of Mount Fuji, Japan and the local culture which made the tour more authentic. Thank you very much for making my Mount Fuji dream come true!
One last tip, please read carefully the additional information regarding drop off back to Tokyo. I requested bus return however, on the weekends they only do bus pick up and you have to make your way back to Tokyo via bullet train. Had I read the finer print, I would have been more prepared.

I don’t understand why they didn’t cancel the entire tour because they knew the weather was coming. Our Toyota guide tried her best to keep us entertained, but of course she’s going to fall very short because all the activities that we were supposed to do were canceled, which made the whole trip unsatisfactory. Whoever manages it, not our tour guide, but whoever actually manages this company should’ve canceled and moved to a different date because all of the Taurus, who were there completely wasted their entire day just on the bus and being told that each event would be canceled keep in mind. This is an all day tour and we wasted the entire day! In fact, I emailed you guys during the tour because of how disappointed every single tourist was on the bus. Again, this isn’t our tour Guy’s fault. This is the company’s fault!

We weren’t sure if we were going to cancel due to the rain. We are glad we didn’t. Our tour guide, Hiro, made the best of a challenging situation. He was very informative talking to us about Japans history. The day ended on a high note when for a brief minute the clouds parted and we got to see the tip of Mt Fuji.

Avoid this tour with Japanese Panormic Tour which we booked via Viator. Got to the Cable car (rope way) part of tour. Waited 1 hour then took a 19 minute ride over a pit to get to our connecting cable car. But since it was too busy the tour company said we had to go back to the bus because it was going to be too long of a wait again to get to our boat tour. The boat tour was a waste of time nothing to see.

We travel from overseas and take this tour to see Mount Fuji. If the weather was really bad then we can perfectly understand if we don’t see the mountain. But on a day that was cloudy in the morning but clear in the afternoon and evening it’s disappointing to note that the travel company does not have an alternate plan to do something else in the morning and return to the 5th station in the afternoon/ evening when the weather is clear to see the mountain (we did see Mt Fuji from different locations later on during the day). Also the village we were taken to was uninteresting and the cable ride was boring as well as it was just a part of the full ride as I understand. Our guide was Momo. She was ok but was trying to sell us the travel company’s sake and showed pictures in the bus only to the ppl at the front (we have been in tours from the same company where the guides came to the back of the bus and showed pictures as well).

I had a great time on this tour! Be mindful to get to the meeting location early and on time for check in so that the schedule isn’t interfered with. Our tour guides, Levin and Yuta-san were very knowledgeable and social. Always willing to help for a photo opportunity. Mt Fuji is famously known for only being visible 30% of the time so we were very lucky to have had a good weather day. We got up to station 4 on Mt. Fuji. We went to a restaurant with simple Japanese dishes served buffet style (it also had a ninja show which we didn’t partake but a ninja did greet us from the rooftop). And our last stop was a ferry around Lake Ashi. If you didn’t book the bullet train back to Tokyo, there’s still an option to book it with the group or at the station. I enjoy going on tours like these because it allows me to see more in a short amount of time as a solo traveler. Since it was February, it was very cold on the mountain and in the area so I’d suggest to wear layers to keep warm. But they kept the bus very temperate. Hope you book it and the weather lets you see all of Mt. Fuji.

90% of the time is spent on the bus driving - this means out of the 12 hour experience - you will spend 10.8 hours on the bus! This is a crime to steal 12 hours from a traveler who came to enjoy Tokyo. Also, there are absolutely no guarantee you will see Mt Fuji as its most of the time is hidden .
Don’t wait your time. Enjoy food and culture Tokyo has to offer instead!
Lesson learned!

I booked this Mt. Fuji & Hakone tour for my family and spent over $500 total, but unfortunately it was a huge disappointment.
After driving more than 2 hours to Mt. Fuji, we only got 30 minutes at the 5th Station with no view of the mountain. The guide even admitted Mt. Fuji is only visible about 100 days per year, which made the stop feel pointless.
The Hakone cable car was marketed as a highlight, but it was just a ride up and back down with no sightseeing or activities. Even other guests on the tour were frustrated.
On top of the high base cost, we had to pay an extra $80 for bullet train tickets and also cover our own lunch. These added expenses pushed the total over $500 for very little value.
Overall, this tour felt misleading and overpriced. I cannot recommend it and would strongly suggest looking for alternatives if you want a meaningful Mt. Fuji or Hakone experience. Currently working on a filing a dispute with my CC for this.

12 hour day with only 2-3 hours of stops in total. Cable car was cancelled as not enough time due to traffic. Each stop 30- 40 minutes at best so very rushed at every point. The guide was excellent and couldn't fault.
Overall grueling day which regretted booking.

The experience was well organized and went smoothly. Our guide Yui was great. She was very knowledgeable and personable. She spent time explaining Japanese history, culture, and customs. Her instructions about the tour and the days events were clear and understandable. A little more time off the bus spent at the 5th Station on Mount Fuji would have been nice. Sometimes it felt a little rushed. An air conditioned bus tour on a very hot day was nice. The included lunch buffet was excellent with a wide variety of items to eat. It would have been nice to know beforehand that the ship pictured in the tour photograph is not the ship you actually sail Lake Ashi on. The actual ship is a standard lake cruise vessel, similar to a ferry. The cruise on the lake was nice, especially on a hot day, but still a little disappointing it was not the ship pictured. All in all it was worth the time and money spent.

If you want a completely coordinated bus to make all the sightseeing stops, snap a few pictures, and go home, then this is the tour for you. If you want to spend time admiring the beauty of Mt. Fuji, Hakone and Lake Ashinoko, then do not take this tour. You spend around 5 hours total on the bus compared to the 20-30 minutes allotted for each scenic overlook. Way too rushed feeling. The Japanese style lunch shown in the banner photos and description is not what we got. Very mediocre quality Western-style summer camp cafeteria buffet food. It was pretty clear that multiple tour operators simply shepherd tour groups through this dining hall. The commentary from the tour guide and pre recorded audio tracks on the bus (plus the very loud people on the bus, which is not the tour operators fault) lasted too long and made it difficult to relax and enjoy the beautiful countryside we drove through. The nice part of the tour was the boat ride on Lake Ashinoko. Quiet, relaxing and a good summer breeze to escape the July Tokyo heat. Couldn’t really say I recommend this tour overall though.

This tour was well organized and thoughtfully planned. All the itineraries would have been beautiful and well worth it, except the weather was terrible during entire trip for us. It was drenching rainy and windy, so we could not see anything. Guests were standing in wet and super windy condition in many parts of the trip, so it would have been good if the company cancelled the trip. Otherwise, Hakone and Mount Fuji areas were beautiful for what we can see. So we will have to do this trip again next time. Otherwise, our guide Yui was wonderful and shared lots of useful informations throughout the trip. We would love to have her again as our guide. Trip was super well organized and everyone from the company was very professional. Other than the weather issue, I would highly recommend this trip. Oh, the buffet lunch was just mediocre.

First of all, this tour provided almost zero, I mean zero free time. It was looking like army trip. We have to beg for some free time to look, walk around. Absolutely no flexibility! At some point we were passing astonishingly beautiful lake surrounded by blossoming cherry trees, entire bus asked tour guide to stop and get 5-10 minutes for photos - NO! We can’t do that was an answer. No stoping on lookouts to take few pics of incredibly beautiful mountains. Nothing. Just marching :(
My advice, ignore these kind of tours, especially operated by local companies. They will treat you like children and you have to follow everything what they say.
Take a train, bus - anything , just do NOT take this tour. You will see more. A lot more.
