Itinerary
Make your way to the centrally located meeting point in Tokyo’s Shinjuku neighborhood and jump on board your comfortable coach for a full day of exploring the Japanese capital.
After a visit to the Meiji Jingu shrine, arrive at the Imperial Palace, the current residence of the Imperial family, where you’ll visit either the East Garden or the Niju-bashi Bridge in the Outer Garden. Next is Senso-ji temple in Asakusa where you’ll have time to shop for souvenirs on Nakamise Avenue before enjoying a matcha-tasting experience and Japanese-style lunch.
Next up is the soaring Tokyo SkyTree where you’ll skip the line for the Tembo Deck observatory, which offers stunning city views. Then it’s on to the Odaiba district where you’ll take a ferry ride across Tokyo Bay and under Rainbow Bridge.
Make use of the free Wi-Fi on the coach ride to Shinjuku Station where you’ll be dropped off.

- Main Meals: A set meal with Japanese fried chicken and Tofu. No pork, no seafood but please note that Miso soup contains fish stock. No nuts, no crustaceans but anyone who has a serious allergy, please book the tour without lunch.
- Gluten-free Meals: A meal with grilled chicken, rice, miso soup and tofu.
- Muslim-friendly meals, Allergy-friendly meals, lactose-free meals, etc. are not available. Please book the tour without lunch.
- Customers who need each options will be charged more for changes on the day, therefore please select with lunch option in advance
- Sometimes cruise can be suspended due to high tide or techinical maintenance. In that case, we visit alternative place (Hamarikyu-Garden or Fukagawa museum) so we do not visit Odaiba.Refund will not be given for this case.
- Please let us know your booking numbers and total number of people before the tour if you have several bookings or if you have booked separatly.
- Due to the weather conditions, traffic conditions, or suspension of operation, we may have a possibility not to achieve all the activities. The tour will be attending to alternative place or giving ou t a gift as a compensation depending on a situation at that time. Refunds will not be given for these changes.
- If you are late for the tour start time, you will not be able to join the tour mid-way.
- Please handle the loading and unloading of your luggage from the trunk yourself. (Including wheelchairs, stroller etc..)
- Matcha store will be closed on May 14th, so we will be giving out matcha souvenirs as Matcha experience.
- Not recommended for those who can not walk long distance
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 49 travelers

You know it was a good tour when you remember your guides name months later. Kazu was the best tour guide ever. He gave us a lot of history about Tokyo, took us to great spots around the city, grouped all the solo travels together at lunch so we could make friends and hang out. It just was an enjoyable experience. I highly recommend.

This bus tour is a particularly good option if you only have a few days in Tokyo. We were able to go to places all over the city and not have to worry about how to get from place to place, and it was really nice to get off our feet and sit in a comfortable air conditioned bus and relax and just enjoy looking out the windows, no stress between stops. We all loved our guide, Masa. She was so warm and friendly and knowledgeable and she really made the tour enjoyable.

We had a good time on this tour, even though it was extremely hot this day. Kazu, our guide did a great job keeping us entertained and informed and his infectious laughter kept the spirits up. The bus was comfortable and the ac worked which was very important. The sites we visited were interesting although I felt some were overloaded with tourist crowds. I felt it was a good value and would recommend it for quick overview of the city.

We got to see city highlights. The tour was organized with clear expectations about when and where to meet when we had time to explore locations on our own. Nice balance of seeing multiple things and not being too rushed. Not sure that the bay cruise added much. It was very short. The meal was delicious. We went during the summer and an umbrella was very nice when walking around for shade.

My family and I enjoy this tour a lot. We covered many important sites at Tokyo. We traveled in a bus with A/C. This was a life saver given how hot the days are in Japan now. Everyone was very friendly. The activities were very well coordinated. We ordered the tour with lunch. We enjoyed it very much. Last, we would like to mention the great work of Levin, our tour guide. He made our travel very enjoyable. He provided us with great review of Japan history related to the places that we visited.

It’s a full day of sightseeing so pace yourself. Mai-san was our tour guide and she was very informative, attentive, and overall a lovely professional. The tour provides ample time to see the key sights, plus bathroom breaks, lunch, and shopping. Skytree provided a 360 view of Tokyo and the boat ride gives you a glimpse of the Tokyo skyline. Worth every dollar! Pack plenty of water and be ready to take in lots of city views.

I feel incredibly lucky to have booked this tour; every single location we visited was absolutely stunning and well worth the time.Our guide, Levin, was fantastic from beginning to end. He was exceptionally organized and constantly went above and beyond to elevate our experience—whether it was offering to take photos or sharing inside tips on the best spots to explore at each stop. He is highly knowledgeable about the local history, and I walked away having learned so much. Abe-san also was great! He is so polite and drives very well. I cannot imagine driving this big bus so well. I was looking for an authentic cultural tour that combined beautiful sights with deep historical context, and this delivered exactly that. This tour is a great way to see Tokyo in a day, including entry to the Skytree. Saves so much time and stress trying to get around this huge city on your own!
Our guide Hiro was great! He spoke excellent English and was clearly proud to be a Tokyo native.
The bus was super clean and meeting point easily accessible in Ginza area where we were staying.
Only downsides for us was too much free time after lunch and at the Skytree, made an already long day unnecessarily longer. The “cruise” was rather disappointing is literally just a crossing from one side to the other - 10 minutes max! Also not being dropped off anywhere close to where we were picked up meant catching the metro back - easier said than done!
Overall though would recommend.

Our tour guide, Mai, was so polite, friendly, and organized. Mai spoke excellent English. The tour highlighted all the must see attractions in Tokyo. My favorite stop was Senso-ji Temple in Asukasa. The tour was suppose to end with a boat ride, but was canceled and exchanged for a short stop at the Japanese garden. The tour lasted all day 0800-1800. Please be mindful if you paid for a tour 1/2 tour you have to provide your own transportation to your accommodation. I purchased the lunch option and it consisted of Japanese fried chicken, tofu, potato salad, green salad, rice, and miso soup. The chicken was pretty tasty. I highly recommend this tour and of course if you guys are lucky to have Mai as your guide, you are in for a real treat. The bus driver was extremely nice as well.

An excellent choice for a one day tour of Tokyo. Our guide Tsubasa was wonderful, and he shared with us interesting facts about Japan and Tokyo and its culture. There is some slight walking involved (expect 8,000+ steps). This tour has a great mix of the traditional and modern sides of Japan. The tour bus is also very comfortable.

Aya was a lovely guide, knowledgeable and shared a lot of history that was new to me! She was funny and kind and I would love a tour by her again! Minimal walking, nice to leave extra stuff/purchases on the bus! I tried to book directly on Japan Panoramic Tours but they wouldn’t take my Visa credit card, grateful Viator makes payments easy for US citizens!
