I was hesitant about booking this tour but oh man I’m glad we did! My partner and I really enjoyed this and so far this has been the highlight of our trip! We did the 9am tour and the line to get in looked long but it moved rather quickly. Our tour guide was very attentive and made sure we were always together which I appreciated since there are so many other tours going on and it’s easy to get distracted by all the art and history surrounding you. She was very interactive and made this experience fun! I would definitely recommend booking!

A cannot miss experience!

Honestly maybe the best tour I’ve ever been on! I’ve visited to Rome before but the experience made me feel like I was seeing it for the first time. We initially booked this due to our short time in Rome to try and get as much in as possible, thinking we wouldn’t get a chance to properly see and learn about all the places. But we felt like we really got so much out of it. Our guide Daniele was such a great host, and so engaged! Most tours feel like a memorised script but we feel like it was really tailored to us and he’s very open to questions. You can tell he has a real passion for this and that he knows quite a lot. Would definitely book again and recommend to anyone we know.

Perfect day at the Vatican

Our private Vatican tour with Mirta was fantastic! We were picked up from our hotel on time and every detail of the day went exactly as promised. Mirta was a charming and informative tour guide. She had so much to share and was funny too. While we waited to go in (we were intentionally early in order to enter as soon as the Vatican opened), she wisely used the time to share all about the Sistine chapel since guides can’t speak inside the church. Later, when we were actually in the chapel, we felt we had much better knowledge of all of the special details. Starting early meant we were able to beat the rush of people and have a really special overall experience. She was so good at highlighting the best parts and kept it moving so we could see each space in a timely manner. She even took nice pictures of our group in the perfect spots. Then, our great driver was waiting for us as we walked out. It really could not have been a better tour. Thank you Mirta for providing an amazing morning for our group!

Duccio Is The BEST!

Duccio! Duccio! Duccio! My wife and I cannot say enough good things about him if we tried! He was an AMAZING tour guide and especially so with our 2 year old daughter. He knew exactly how to pace the tour for our family and even noticed, before my wife and I, when it might be a good time for the toddler potty break (which immediately calmed what was about to be an epic temper tantrum). He was also extremely informative and his love and passion for the city of Rome was extremely evident! He curated the tour to things that we wanted to see and took us to an amazing local spot for gelato. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Duccio and Turtle Tours to anyone looking for an amazing tour experience!
