No dry, boring history lessons here!
Our 8 &10 year old grandsons could't wait to fill in their parents on everything they saw and learned. The 4th grader just finished studying the American Revolution so had answers handy but Wendy was so good at engaging and encouraging the younger one who had little knowledge beforehand. I'm a suburbanite who, nonetheless, knows the city and its history well but Wendy still had me hooked with so much new information. You won't find a more patient, kind and knowledgeable guide for you or your kids in this city or any other.

A Stroll Down Memory Lane
We decided to take the Italian Market Tour with Chef Jaquie at the last minute. As locals we weren't sure what to expect, but Chef Jaquie represented our city and the Italian Market perfectly. It felt like a stroll out with family and friends, while eating some of the best food in the city. We learned a lot of history too. I definitely recommend taking the tour and enjoying everything the Italian Market has to offer.

Walk by the sights
This is exactly as it says, a walking tour. It is not a tour that takes you into the sights to see the liberty bell or independence hall or Betsy Ross house. Yes, you walk by them but you do not go into these sights and tour them. Pj was informative , he provided insight into the back ground about the fore fathers and the history.

Excellent Philadelphia Food Tour!!
This tour of the Philadelphia "Italian" Market was eye-opening and wonderful. Our guide Barry was a fountain of information and led us through the streets explaining the deep history of the area, including the beautiful mosaics on so many buildings in the area created by a local artist. These were so breathtaking. Another fun fact was the amount of murals painted on the neighborhood buildings, all by local groups of citizens and youngsters. We learned so much about the culture of the area, and sampled many local delicious staples including Bin Mi pork and chicken sandwiches (Vietnamese) and tomato pie. Barry was a very good leader and teacher, and made this tour very enjoyable.
