We had a wonderful time on the cruise. The crew were excellent and Captain Wayne was just wonderful. He kept guiding us throughout the tour. It was an excellent experience with breathing views. Definitely recommend the tour.

A fantastic trip. My second one in the last 9 years.
We were blessed to see many large pods of Oricas!
When the captain said she was going to go a little of path we had no idea what a treat it would be.

Far exceeded expectations! The crew worked so hard to give us the best experience and helped us to see a super pod of Orcas. Lunch was great too. Puffins, coastal mountain goats, sea lions, otters, etc. we were so pleased with our experience and would recommend it to anyone!

We went towards the end of whale viewing season, and were one of the first boat to see whales that day because our Captain went a little out of his way to find them. Many other sites were admired along the way: beautiful coves, puffins, seals, otters, jellyfish and too many other species of birds to mention.

This is one of the best sightseeing cruises we have taken in the recent years.
The half a day cruise took us to to the nearby islands and gave us an opportunity to watch the birds and animals in their natural habitat.
The captain was great with the narrative. The staff was friendly and attentive.

Wow is all I can say! Each turn and location was a Wow experience. The Captain and Crew were amazing on our Tuesday, 19 Aug Wildlife Excursion! A must do for your first trip to Seward or even if you have been to Seward before, still an amazing experience!

We had a great experience! The 4.5 hour tour was perfect timing for us. The staff served lunch immediately for the lunchtime arrival. Our captain was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We saw a lot of wildlife including fin whales, which are rare to be that close inland. All around great experience!

Mind blowing. Captain Wade was an incredibly skilled captain and very funny and informative. He interacted with us and shared so much information regarding the wildlife, the history, etc. The crew, Finn (sp?), Bella and Boston John were all amazing and went above and beyond. My wife and I were on our honeymoon and are huge lovers of wildlife and got to see Harbor Seals, sea lions, a ton of different birds including puffins, we even had an incredible interaction with a group of porpoises that played alongside the boat. We saw so many jellyfish, starfish, and even caught the tail end of a humpback whale!!! It was incredible and it was all made so special by Captain Wade and his breadth of knowledge and great personality. We will absolutely be doing this again. 10/10 one of the best things we have ever experienced hands down.

Disappointing and BORING. I did this tour decades ago and it was so fun, so I looked forward sharing it with extended family. Everyone was bored. The captain tried her best, but the rest of the crew, except the one guy, weren’t very friendly or helpful. Won’t do this again.

It’s chilly so sweater and hat recommended
Lucky enough to see lots of wildlife including so many orcas /killer whales! Pods around the boat! Seals. Sea lions. Otters. Various birds including puffins
Seems like this was good time of year to go as apparently nesting season ending

Awesome excursion! Saw lots of animals-otters, sea lions, bald eagles, puffins, and too many birds to name. The Captain went out of his way to help us see a humpback whale. Lunch was hot and the warm chocolate cookie at the end was perfect! Highly recommend!

The crew was amazing! They were so helpful with my parents as they were in a wheelchair. They always kept checking to make sure my daughter was doing ok as she was getting sea sick towards the end of the trip. They made sure we got to see a whale even if it was a little off course!!

The lunch provided was very ordinary - a chicken burrito and a small amount of tostados withno drinks included. This was given out about 10 minutes after cruise stayed and was particularly La lustre considering the wonderful seafood in the area. Saw quite a few birds and wiildlife but wouldn’t do it again. Would opt for a seafood lunch in the town of Seward and then go in a smaller boat so you could get closer to the wildlife

We saw sea otters, sea lions, seals, tufted & horned puffins, orcas and a humpback whale. The boat had inside & outside seating. There are restrooms on board. The crew served us a delicious lunch of chicken burritos and nacho chips with salsa. Kenny was our captain and went out of his way to show us wildlife everywhere. We couldn’t believe it when we smelled cookies baking in the oven onboard. We all had chocolate chip cookies for the way back. This cruise was worth every dollar we spent on it and was the highlight of our trip to Alaska

Rain or shine,, well worth it. Great crew and captain on the Kenai explorer. Lots of wildlife ( but unfortunately no whales today), Beautiful scenery. Great way to spend.l a half day.

If you are prone to sea sickness, you might want to get a prescription for the patch ect. We had a good time and Seward is beautiful.

I highly recommend this experience. Its a beautiful way to see the fjords plus we saw so much wildlife (seals, sea lions, otters, eagle, whales, and more). The crew was great, the boat was clean with lots of good viewing areas, and lunch was provided. Very worthwhile activity while in Seward!
