Such an amazing tour. Luis was both knowledgeable and engaging and we were captivated by his enthusiasm for the history and culture of San Antonio. We learned so much. Thank you, Luis.

Luis was very knowledgeable. We learned so much more having him as our guide than we would have learned on our own.

This tour was completely modifiable based on your needs and desires. We had already been to the Alamo so we deleted that from our tour. We got to visit all five missions. Louis was an amazing source of information and flexibility that few Tours can offer.

Our tour guide, Luis was a historian and journalist. His subject matter knowledge was incomparable and we learned many things! My wife and I really enjoyed our experience. I would highly recommend this especially if you enjoy history.

Luis is a walking in encyclopedia! I realize there’s so much I don’t know about San Antonio and Texas in general!

Luis was excellent guide and very friendly and attentive. He went out of way to ensure we coordinated for pickup. Tour was insightful with excellent information. My wife forgot a bag in Luis van and Luis took the time to drop it off at our Hotel. He was excellent.

Luis promptly picked us up for our missions tour and we were lucky to find out we were his only group. He gave great history on the area and missions and took us to the best viewing spots that we would have missed on our own. We alao got a city tour and restaurant recommendations. Great tour!

Our guide Luis was the best guide. Very knowledgeable, we happened to have a private tour with him and it was the most interesting experience. He shared so many historical facts that we didn’t know about San Antonio and the history behind the missions. Showed us some photographs of the places we visited before and now. Was a very interesting tour. We just want to thank him. We got a feeling that he really is very passionate about his job and happy to share his knowledge and experience.

Luis was very personable and accommodating to three people who were not picked up at hotels. We waited for one couple at a parking garage who were late and met one man at the Alamo, which was supposed to be our last stop. While waiting, Luis told us about the Alamo and the area surrounding it, which was under construction. Then we went to see two of the missions on our schedule, but not the Cathedral and he dropped us off at the Alamo at the end of the time allotted for the tour, with a suggestion not to go inside as there was very little left to see and the line to get tickets was very long. We were left to make our own way back to the hotel.
One of the reasons I book tours like this is to avoid the ticket lines as the tour operator normally gets tickets for the group ahead of time.
It was disappointing not to see the Cathedral or the other mission on the schedule, but I think it was caused by Luis wanting to be accommodating to some members of the tour and then running out of time for the complete tour. He was very knowledgeable about the places we did see.

tour guide very knowledgeable and engaging
However we didn't get to the King William Historic District and Market Square, or San Fernando De Bexar Cathedral as advertised.

Stewart was great- kept it light, interesting, and gave us a nice balance of history and the current scene. March and April are a great time to do this tour. Runs about 4 hours and most of it is at Riverwalk level where it’s cooler.

This was a great experience! Luis was so knowledgeable and showed us much more than what was listed. It was such a good tour, I would highly recommend this tour!!

Luis was a very knowledgeable and gracious host. He knows a great deal about the history and development of the local area (including architecture, homes and developing neighborhoods). He gave us a lot of background and detail that we were not expecting for a missions tour. It was a very nice morning! I think the tour could have been extended for an hour and it wouldn’t have felt as rushed to see and experience the missions. Overall, we enjoyed our time with Luis a great deal! P.S. When going to San Fernando Cathedral, make sure to time your visit around the noon mass when taking a morning tour— otherwise taking photos of the interior will not be possible. We came back later in the day after the tour was complete so we could see the altar and details of the church more closely.

Luis was an amazing tour guide. We learned so much about the History of the missions and Texas from him. I would definitely recommend Luis as a travel guide.

Such a great tour. Luis was so informative and dealt with the fact that we had the 1st rain day in 128 days as if it was magical! So fun and it was such a cool day vs the previous HOT days so it worked out perfectly.
We learned so much & we would highly recommend this tour if you are the least bit interested in HISTORY!
