The hop on hop off trolley is fantastic. It takes you to place in San Antonio that you wouldn’t be able to get to without a car. The drivers were informative and funny. So happy that it’s actually a two day ticket because there’s so much to do.

Mo! Mo! Mo! He was the best bus driver with his stories and jokes! Sarah also did a great job and some in our group loved Katelyn's extensive knowledge of the history of San Antonio. The boat ride was fun too!

The river cruise is always fun, relaxing, and informative. Love the hop on and hop off bus. Getting to travel around town and learn some history is always fun. It kept my 14 year olds attention.

Jerry was very knowledgeable. Always hit the hop on hop off in whatever city we visit. Also let us know the great places to eat around town.
Buy your tickets when you get there. Fun Tour!

It is better to book you tickets when you arrive. We presented our Viator QR for the tour and the boat ride at the office. They printed out a QR code for us to use. It worked for the Trolley Tour but when we went to the Boat, they said we needed an additional ticket with a difference QR code. The office was closed and we couldn't get on the boat. Very disappointing.
San Antonio Riverwalk, Don't miss to do!

Really?????????

The tour listing are good. But finding a trolley stop is ridiculous. The City doesn't all9w them to put up signs for stops. So, if get off, be prepared to walk distances to find a trolley. As I told one of the employees, the 4 of us have literally been on all 7 continents. This was the most exasperating service ever.
The trolleys are big, clean and have A/C. The price would be reasonable if you can the list of stops.

River cruise was very fun!
Trolley was good but BEWARE....there are no hop on hop off signs along the route. We waiting at various drop off spots for a bus but didn't know the times. HIGHLY recommend starting at the Alamo to get the bus

We were told to be picked up at a location they no longer pick up at. We called and had to wait for 45 minutes Apparently it was the last stop. We got out and were suppose to wait another 30 minutes We left, later found a trolley and hopped on. Katelyn was fabulous and very informative. We hopped out. Did not do boat. Frustrated after trolley

San Antonio Tour Fun
Jessica_R, Mar 2026
This is something my husband and I thought would be great to do and it didn’t disappoint. The air on the bus from the open windows felt amazing especially to get off of our feet! The experience itself was very fun and educational. We loved being able to hop on an off the trolly to shop and sight see that was the best part cause it took you to some spots that were very far away! The river boat tour we waited to the end of the night to take and I must say it was quite romantic after our dinner. Now the things I didn’t like were that for the trolly the designated stops and waiting areas are not marked. We missed our first trolly due to being in the wrong spot, but we were where they told us to wait just wrong side I guess! And the boat rides have long lines all day no matter where you board. They squeeze as many people as they can on each boat and it can be a little uncomfortable.
With it.

River ride was okay. Packed boat left little leg room. Trolley gave good info on places to see. Was interesting to hear about the history on both; a lot depends on the driver as to what info you get. Was a good deal to package the two though.

Only thing I would recommend....Lots of steps to get down to Riverboat cruise. Need to have handicap accessible path.

We had 3 separate drivers, all were very good. We had Garrett the longest. He was very knowledgeable and funny too.
Knowledge friendly drivers
Taneil_M, Mar 2026
On the trolley Sara, Rudy, Jerry, and I believe Garrett were all knowledgeable about the area and all had different things to say on their tours. We quite enjoyed listening to them. On the boat we had Daniel who was very informative and fun.
Boat and Trolley tour
Debbie_B, Mar 2026
Trolley was very interesting with lots of info. There was a woman on the trolley that was talking the entire time and the driver handled her as well as he could. Thank goodness she got off after two stops. We had a very robotic tour guide on the boat portion. It was very short.
Historical connection to San Antonio
Sarah_H, Mar 2026
There are many interesting places on this tour. We could get off, check things out and be picked up 30 minutes later. Alonso made the trip so interesting, we stayed on his bus for the whole tour. We did get off to see The Alamo. Which was especially interesting due to the 190 year anniversary of the battle and wreaths and celebrations were evident.
Great experience.

Excellent experience. We loved learning about the history of San Antonio and Texas. It's was so easy to hop off of the sites we wanted to explore and to get back to where we wanted to end our adventure.

The stops listed on the Viator website are not correct. Stop 4 is listed as the Witte museum but is the botanical gardens. The tour itself was very enjoyable. The river cruise was well worth the additional cost.
Scam stay away from Viator
Sheila_H, Feb 2026
We have never been to San Antonio before booked this thinking this would be helpful except for your company never sent us the right information we weren’t able to find out where we were supposed to meet or pick up the trolley. Ask several people in town where we pick up the trolley from no one could answer that question so we weren’t able to get on a trolley until late yesterday afternoon and wasted the whole trip because we couldn’t get off to see anything I will never book with you guys again

Always love the bus tours. Good way to see the city. Tour guide had done good information and some cute stories. Just wish it ran longer hours. The river cruise is a must and a favorite
Great ambassadors for the city !
Ann_S, Jan 2026
Drivers put their own personal touch on narration during the tours. The passion for their conversation is great !
Efficient & informative!
Dan_S, Jan 2026
Great way to see multiple parts of the city & learn some history! Cheaper than an uber to each of the sites, and more informative! Only downside is if you get the same driver for the same leg of the trip and hear the same stories, lol!
