It was really interesting. I loved the information that was provided by the guides. My kids loved seeing the beautiful stalagtites. There were other activities near by. Could easily make this activity a whole day activity due to the other activities nearby.

It is a difficult hike if you are older and half issues walking up abd down hills. Guide had alot of good information

This place could early be 5 stars if they weren't hustling people before you even get in the door. Charging people $10 to park in your parking lot, that's only your parking lot and it's the only place you can park when driving from far away is so lousy and predatory for what area largely big groups of families trying to take their kids. Ridiculous.
But in regards to the Caverns, they are spectacular. I'm a very big dude and while a few places has me winded, you should be able to navigate this minus any series medical limitations. Really great history and so many natural features millions of years in the making. At the end they try to get you with another $40 for a set of pictures lol just take selfies inside

Don’t dress too warm, humidity is about 99%. Wear good walking shoes. No food or drinks allowed other than water. Other than that great experience and will definitely be back.

It was a great experience! Wear good shoes and be prepared to walk up inclines. It was .75 of a mile in total.
Armistia_S, Mar 2026
It was awesome. May get a little hot. Bring water.. lengthy walk with incline but it was worth it…You have to experience it!!! We learned so much.
Wei_S, Mar 2026
The cave is very impressive but the tour guide is little rush. It was supposed to be 1.5 hours but we were out in 1 hour 10 minutes. Wish we had more time to look, take pictures and soak in

I/West were throughly impressed with presentation of the grounds, the parking area, the people, and the attractions around the Caverns entrance. We were very happy with our tour guide, Destiny. She provided a lot of information on the tour and was very capable of keeping the tour group organized.

Really enjoyed the walking tour. It's easier going down than coming up :

Interesting but not great. Found the walk testing as we had to descend 180 feet into the caverns and then climb a path and steps back up the 180 feet which I found to come close to my limit. This information should be published on the booking site as you can not cancel after booking the tour. It is only included in the information sent together with your booking confirmation. Too late!!!

Well this is interesting Tour however, I highly recommend to be somewhat fit or younger age. It is wet inside ground and hand rail, the humanity high and dark cave so need to watch steps, walking has narrow space while entering. One needs to be careful because it is 180 feet below, the most difficult part is the steep walkway to get out. I had trouble trying to catch my breath and my spouse could not make it out, he needed help. I liked the Tour and was upset that there is no easy way out for those who need it!

It was what I expected. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly. The price was reasonable. I would do it again, just for the beauty of the caverns

So beautiful. Well worth the effort to get there.

It was great! Our family enjoyed it and thoughts it was an informative and engaging tour!

We enjoyed the caverns. The tour is about 75 mins and just short enough where you don't become worn out. The water in the cave is clear and clean.

beautiful and interesting at the same time. Great tour for kids for 5 and up. As long as they follow instructions and able to walk up and down steep pathways.
Linda M, Jun 2016
The caverns were amazing! Lots of recent rain made them wet and drippy which added to the experience. The young tour guides need to learn how to enunciate. Couldn't understand a lot that they were saying. Very monotone and not too enthusiastic about their job.
Nice gift store and refreshment area.

Caverns were beautiful, and believe them when they say it is very humid. Gave only 4 stars as we could not here the guides talk about the areas, because the groups were so large.
Waltraud G, Jun 2016
Very interesting tour, only negative was that the next tour came too short after us and we had to rush and always heard the other tour guide! Give people a little more time to enjoy the caverns for 21 entrance fee!

This was absolutely amazing! We were in awe of the sights we saw. We also had a bonus surprise when a group in front of us arrived at the Cathedral Room, they started singing. They were a choir group. Their voices were so beautiful and we were entertained as we made our way through the caverns.
Judy M, Mar 2016
The caverns were amazing and the tour guide was very informative and helpful. It's important for visitors to know about the extreme humidity inside. We would still have made the reservations, but didn't know until we arrived about the humidity which made the tour more difficult than anticipated. Still worth the discomfort.

this was very beautiful a lot of walking so wear comfy shoes.

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the tour. Bring a small flashlight to see more.

Christopher S, Sep 2015
Great experience. Dress light, the humidity in the caves will make you sweat.
Dawn C, Sep 2015
The caverns were awesome to see! Tour guide, Kelsey, was fantastic. Took 2 youth to see it and we all enjoyed very much. There is an adventure park right behind the cavern visitor center which we didn't know about but were excited to see. Kids did the maze and high ropes course and really enjoyed. Had a fantastic day at the caverns.

Definitely a must see attraction if you're in the San Antonio area. My husband and I had a great time.
darling0016, Feb 2015
The tour was really impressive, and our guide was very knowledgeable regarding how the caverns were formed. It is somehow moderate difficult to walk around it, but worth the effort!
Danay_C, Mar 2026
It was a very pleasant experience that is hot inside the cave. If you are interested in going I recommend you go with comfortable clothes and closed and comfortable shoes
