The Mission Trail tour was excellent! Tom was a fantastic tour guide. A wealth of knowledge and a great sense of humor!
convenient, friendly, and very informative. Guide was obviously an expert. Enjoyed entire tour and felt it was probably the best tour available.
We had an incredible experience on the San Antonio Mission Heritage Tour, and we must give special thanks to our fantastic tour guide, Tom. His deep knowledge of the history and significance of the missions truly brought the stories to life. Tom was friendly, engaging, and took the time to answer all our questions, making the tour both educational and enjoyable. We highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning about the rich history of the area, and especially to those lucky enough to have Tom as their guide!
Tom provided an exceptional tour experience characterized by his high level of professionalism, organization, and hospitality. He consistently prioritized the group's comfort and ensured all of our inquiries were addressed comprehensively. His profound understanding of the local sites significantly elevated the excursion; drawing from his deep roots in San Antonio and extensive tenure at the missions, he shared unique, firsthand insights that far surpass what one might glean from written materials, standard audio guides, or less experienced guides. The itinerary was highly efficient, allowing us to learn a great deal in a short timeframe while enjoying comfortable transportation, making this tour an outstanding value that I highly recommend.
This was an excellent way to learn about the Missions in San Antonio. We were fortunate to have Tom as our tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable from many years of working for the Alamo and the Missions - and he had many stories to share throughout the tour.
Tom was extremely knowledgeable and he made the information very interesting with his narration. He was also very professional and engaging and clearly cared about the topic and the guests.
Our guide Tom was one of the best Viator guides we ever had. Extremely knowledgeable and really helped us dive into the history we were experiencing.
Tom was an informed, respectful, and organized tour guide. He made sure that everyone on the tour was comfortable and that our questions were answered. He has a really deep knowledge of all of the sites we visited, which made a huge difference, as he was able to share information that I don’t think we could learn from just reading about the sites, listening to audio guides, or even talking to other tour guides who haven’t worked at the missions or lived here for as long as he has. We learned so much in a very short time and were transported in comfort to all of the sites we wanted to see. It was a great tour for a great price, and we appreciate having had the experience here in San Antonio!
Great small group experience with Tom! He was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of fun anecdotes. Took care to give us a very personalized tour and was eager to answer all of our questions. He also gave us some amazing recommendations for other places to see and lunch spots in San Antonio. Can’t recommend him enough!!
We were fortunate to have a warm, friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. Michael met our group of 6 at the Alamo and we boarded a comfortable air conditioned van. We had a lovely couple from Spain join us.
Visiting the 4 missions was a beautiful and moving experience. Being in a small group made it a more personalized experience. Michael was the absolute best! He kept us on schedule without us feeling rushed. We were able to visit a gift shop and there were restrooms available. Michael even made sure my husband with a disability was comfortable.
I would highly recommend the 3.5 hour San Antonio Mission Tour. You'll be taking lots of photos. You'll be moved by the historical stories.
The tour was great. I learned a lot in a relaxed setting. Tom was great 👍🏽. We did the tour of the four missions and something unique and interesting was brought out about all of them.
Tom was amazing. The trip was totally worth it. Loved the trip and will recommend it. Tom’s passion for the subject makes it worth it
Tim was incredible! He knew so much about each of the Mission sites and was excited to share. It was clear how much he enjoyed talking about the missions and the churches themselves were beautiful!
We had an absolutely wonderful time with Tom on this tour! It was great having someone so personable and knowledgeable on the sites and their history to show us around and share stories. We will definitely be back & are recommending the tour to friends and family!
A story of the missions around San Antonio ties together the lives of the first peoples of the area to the Spanish and other Europeans who laid the foundation for the area today. This tour pulls back the curtain on the prosperity and calamity that gave rise to the transformation of the region.
Tom, our tour guide, told a sympathetic and entertaining story that brought the missions to vivid life, supported by his own engagement with the work to preserve these places and their significance.
Excellent experience. Informative. Tom, our guide, was knowledgeable on historical facts and cultural anecdotes. He was very personable and professional; answering all of our questions. We highly recommend this tour!
This is a great tour with a knowledgeable guide of the rich native, Spanish, and mission history of San Antonio. Highly recommended!
I'm leaving this review because I just want to say I don't think there's a better way to have seen the missions. Tom was incredibly knowledgeable about the missions, San Antonio, and the history of the area. The tour was informative and told a history of the missions and the communities that formed around them, in a way that felt so loving and personal. Couldn't recommend more, best thing we did on the whole trip.
Tom was an amazing guide with a depth of knowledge on the missions that shocked me. This is not your average tour guide. One of the best I've ever seen around the world
Knowledge guide, very informative and engaging. Gave a historical account of each mission, described important aspects of the mission and how they developed as time progressed.
The tour was great, Tom was very knowledgeable and did a great job. Very nice to see the Missions. we would highly recommend.
This trip was exceptional. We visited 4 missions in a small group. Everything was well planned and was exactly as described in the itinerary. Our transportation was air conditioned, clean, and comfortable. Our tour guide was waiting for us at the determined location. Our tour guide, Tom, was very knowledgeable about the missions and shared so much history. If we had visited these missions on our own, we would have missed so much. Tom was pleasant, interesting, and an expert about the missions. I would definitely advise everyone to visit the missions with an expert guide.
Tom was an excellent tour guide, sharing amazing stories and historical and architectural information of the San Antonio missions and of the city too. His friendliness and humor made the tour memorable and worthwhile!

Ask him about the basement at the Alamo.
