It says that you will be able to skip the line, but that is a lie and you will end up waiting for around 2-3 hours just like everyone else who will get in for free. It said the whole thing would last for 2-3 hours, so we had other plans, but it took that long just to get inside. By the time we got inside, we needed to leave and get through the museum quickly so we couldn’t even stay with the group for the tour. I do not recommend this and it was a HUGE waste of our money.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Dear Customer,
Skip-the-line is a product that allows access to a site by using a faster entry process than the standard queue, although it does not mean that there will never be any waiting time. That is the purpose for which this product was created. However, there are situations such as heavy visitor flow, security checks, and other circumstances that can prevent this goal from being fully achieved. These aspects are managed by the Vatican and by the relevant institutions, not by us.
At the entrance, there may be police officers or staff members carrying out their duties. Long waiting times are usually due to exceptionally high and sometimes unpredictable visitor numbers.
We are sorry that you were not able to fully enjoy the visit because of your schedule. However, this did not depend on our service. We feel that your review unfairly penalizes us, since what affected your experience were external circumstances beyond our control. For example, the guide continued to carry out the tour properly with the group that remained until the end.
We therefore kindly ask you to reconsider and remove this review, as it does not concern the quality of our service, but rather circumstances outside our control.
Kind regards,
Gyash Tours

It wasn’t clear whether it was a skip the line tour or not - answer is: it is not.
The guide wasn’t very knowledgeable neither interesting. (Explaining why there is a cat on a painting by saying that they were a cat person…?!) The level of explanation was extremely disappointing.
Tour not worth its price.
Nevertheless, very happy to have been in the museums and the chapel.
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Dear Sir/Madam,
we would like to clarify that the service purchased was a guided tour, conducted by licensed guides who are professionally trained and officially authorized to operate. In this specific case, the tour was led by an official Vatican guide, whose qualifications are among the highest in this field.
Regarding the term “skip-the-line,” we would like to point out that this is a commonly used expression to indicate priority access and does not imply the complete elimination of waiting times, which remain unavoidable in sites subject to security checks and high visitor volume.
We are sorry that the experience did not fully meet your expectations, while we are pleased to know that you still enjoyed visiting the Museums and the Chapel.
Kind regards,
Gyash Tours

It was supposed to be a 2–3 hour tour with skip-the-line entry. Instead, we waited about 2 hours in line and then spent another 2 hours inside the museum before reaching the Sistine Chapel. By that point, we were tired and hungry, making it difficult to enjoy the main reason we booked the tour. The tour was scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m., but we didn’t get through security until 11:00 a.m. While the tour guide was very nice, the commentary didn’t really hold our attention.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Dear customer,
thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and we are sorry that the tour did not fully meet your expectations.
With pre-booked and “skip-the-line” tours, entry is arranged through reserved tickets and dedicated routes; however, security checks and crowd management are set directly by the Vatican authorities. Especially during peak hours and high season, this may unfortunately result in longer waiting times, which can also affect the overall duration and comfort of the visit.
We are glad to hear that the guide was kind, and we understand that extended waiting can make it harder to stay engaged during the tour. We regret that this aspect impacted your enjoyment of the experience.
If you wish, you can contact us for any further clarification.
Kind regards,
Gyash srls

This is not skip the line, therefore the 2-3 hour tour, could be much shorter, our tour was literally 1.5 hours rushed. The tour guide had to push in front of people in the queue to make sure we actually got in. Make sure you book a skip the line, do not do without, the queue is at least two hours long!
However for the time we were in there the guide was very informative.
The parts of the museum we were rushed through, wasn't too exciting, but the sistene chapel, well worth it!
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Dear customer,
thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback.
We understand that the actual duration of the tour felt shorter and more rushed than you expected, and that the long queue at the entrance contributed to this impression. Access to the Vatican Museums is managed directly by the Vatican authorities and, on particularly busy days, waiting times and crowd control can vary, affecting how the route is handled even for guided groups. In these circumstances, the guide has to strike a balance between respecting time slots and making sure the group can enter the museum, while still following the rules and the paths indicated on site.
Regarding the difference between “skip-the-line” experiences and standard access, online descriptions specify when a product includes priority entrance and when the tour still involves regular lines or dedicated lanes that remain subject to security checks and possible waiting. Your comments are helpful for us to review how clearly this is communicated on the product page and to remind our guides of the importance of explaining, at the beginning of the tour, what guests should realistically expect in terms of timing and access procedures.
We are nevertheless pleased to hear that you found the guide very informative and that the visit to the Sistine Chapel was, in your opinion, well worth it.
If you wish, you can contact us for any further clarification.
Kind regards,
Gyash srls

We did the 11:30 am Sunday Vatican museum and Sistine Chapel tour. Alessandra was an amazing tour guide. She provided facts about Ancient Rome, the Vatican and about the amazing artworks. I wished the tour could’ve had the option to add the Basilica tour without having to return to the office but this was a wonderful experience.

We had to queue the venue as a group for 90 minutes before we entered the venue.
The radios worked intermittently. The guided tour was only 1 hour long and was not value for money
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Dear customer,
thank you for taking the time to share your experience.
We understand your frustration at having to queue as a group for around 90 minutes and feeling that the skip-the-line element did not deliver the benefit you expected. Priority access services are based on pre-booked tickets and dedicated routes, but security checks and the management of visitor flows are set by the venue authorities and, at particularly busy times, this can unfortunately lead to significant waiting even for organised groups. Your feedback helps us to keep improving how we explain that these services can reduce certain queues, but cannot completely remove them.
Regarding the radios, we are sorry that the audio only worked intermittently: in very crowded environments or where many devices are in use, interference can occur, but it remains important that equipment is checked carefully and that guests are clearly told what to do immediately if there is a problem, so that we can try to react as quickly as possible.
We also take note of your impression about the one-hour guided portion and the overall value for money; we will keep this in mind when reviewing both the pacing of the visit and how we describe the actual duration, so that expectations are better aligned with what the tour can realistically offer.
If you wish, you can contact us for any further clarification.
Kind regards,
Gyash srls

Stellar, one of the best tours I've been on. The lady was knowledgeable, patient and really explained things in a way you could follow along. 5/5

I made the reservation in Spanish, I got the entry in English and I could not change it, we did the tour in English, very short the guide, which if we were passed from the long queue when going in a group, you can do it with the headphones you can get when entering but we also had no choice, very expensive price the two 130 euros

Estimado/a cliente,
Atentamente,
Gyash srls
