The start of this tour was a little chaotic. I will say that whoever organizes this tour is not actually who runs it. They hire guides from the Vatican to take you around. Be prepared to still wait in a line in order to go thru security. It is much faster than the standard line. We were inside within 15 mins. I would remember you are entering another country so just be prepared to wait some. One of the couples in our group and another girl were incredibly rude to our guide, and the guy who went to get our tickets. Reading views and having realistic expectations can go a long way. Our guide was truly amazing and incredibly knowledgeable. The only thing I wish we would have gotten to do was go into the Basilica and inside St. Peter’s Square. Not quite sure why we were not able to. You could truly spend hours walking around and taking in everything.

We were quite disappointed with the tour. The Vatican Museum tour consisted only of statuary, tapestries, and maps. There are incredible works of art throughout the museum that we never saw by Raphael, Di Vinci, Giotto, and others. Most of the statues we saw were simply copies and placed in the outdoor gardens. Most of the ones in the interior were unremarkable and not sculpted by famous artists. The description should clearly state that you will not see any paintings or artwork. The tour guide spent about 20 minutes in front of a poster that showed the ceiling of the Sistine chapel doing nothing more than basically givings us a Bible lesson of what we will see. It was profoundly unnecessary and boring. By the time we got to the Sistine Chapel, we were allowed only 5 minutes in the chapel before we were sent out so the chapel could close. We were so incredibly disappointed by the whole thing.

During that time if anyone want to see the Raphael Rooms they may miss the Sistine Chapel. Our main focus is to see the important highlights of the galleries and Sistine Chapel. This tour was extremely informative and our guide Paulina did a wonderful job showing us not only the beautiful art and their historical significance, but also the detailed architecture and the stories behind how it all came to be. My husband and I were actually thinking of just getting tickets to tour the Vatican by ourselves, but we were so glad we chose to take this tour as it allowed us to better understand and appreciate the things we were seeing. The evening tour was also very nice, while it was still busy it was not as crowded as it would have been in the day. We were able to stop and appreciate each exhibit and it ended at the perfect time to enjoy dinner at one of the many wonderful restaurants in the area.

Great expierence. Our guide was great. Be prepared for pushy tour guides who dont give others respect and just push and shove their way thru your group. Rules of quiet, no pics in sistine chapel and having shoulders and knees covered are non existent. Someone needs to invest in better earphones for tour.

Unfortunately, the tour guide was quite upset at the start of the tour as clearer the organiser made a group of 20 which she clearly was not expecting. The lady tour guide had a quiet voice and the microphone did not work. I feel quite let down as the tour guide would only be able to focus on persons close to her as she couldn’t project her voice. I thought the tour would be quite intimate and not a group of 20. The tour guide also seemed quite rushed at the end of the tour. The tour did not include St Peter square in the Vatican nor an explanation of the importance. I’d say try and book directly with Vatican website. Maybe the tour guide had a bad day at our expense.

Mr Ravi, the tour is not include St. Peter’s Basilica (free entrance) also the maximum group size is 20 people in a group. Our guide, Alex, was great and super knowledgeable about the artifacts and history of the Vatican museums and Sistine Chapel. We did the evening tour and by the time we got into the Sistine chapel it was 730. We were dismayed at how crowded it was still by then and the guards were pushing people to the exits by 745 to close the whole place down. This past weekend was unique since there were closures due to papal activity so there were probably more people than usual. In this case, maybe the pacing of the tour could be adjusted to give the Sistine jewel more time at the end since this is what people were booking for.
