We didn't realize this was a self guided tour-but was amazing! we were one of perhaps 10 total on this tour so it was a very private, not crowded experience. Would highly recommend it to everyone!

Best tour of the colosseum

We've been to the colosseum 4 times and I swore I wouldn't go back unless they've redecorated it lol but this visit was unbelievable!!!! No crowds (which was the best part ) we got to do it at our own pace and see everything from above Truly the best view! You take an elevator up to the top floor and then do stairs the rest of way I'm very out of shape but I could do it easily Great time !

Loved being one of the only people on the upper levels while the crowds pushed each other below. Steps are not bad at all. Not for those with fear of heights probably.

Great access, but audio tour needs location cues

The access was really good, but the audio tour wasn’t location specific, so it was not as informative as it could be. Also, more specific directions to the correct elevator for attic access would have been very helpful.

Do it. We basically fastpassed our way all the way to the top and had the most majestic views of the Colosseum as well as Arch of Titus. Worth every penny.

To start I would like to highlight that this Viator experience is for the attic tickets only and does not provide any fast track option etc. The information on where to go (which line to get in etc is not given – we discovered that you queue in the main queue, so give plenty of time to ensure that you get there on time, as the group before us was turned away because they missed their time slot). The experience itself however was absolutely amazing and definitely something you need to do, with the views being amazing, providing a different experience when visiting a key site in the city.

Absolutely amazing experience. If you want to really do the colosseum from high up you have to get the Attic experience. Hardly anyone with us and we could see everything even looking off into Rome.

This Viator deal is simply the attic ticket for the Colosseum. The tickets are challenging to purchase directly from their website, so this is easier. Of course, you’ll pay a premium for that. We feel it was entirely worth it, as the attic area is not crowded and the views are amazing! We also had Arena tickets, which were nice but less impressive.

Booking was really easy. You should tell the customer that they can queue at the Colosseum with this ticket and then take the EXTRA LIFT for the attic. That wasn't read from the ticket. Also the stay of 30 minutes in the attic should be mentioned.
