Great Experience but not for the digitally phobic

We chose this tour so we could go at our own pace. Had to download a couple of apps to listen to on our own headphones but this was easy. We were sent our tickets on What's App beforehand so didn't have to go to the collection point. Entry time at the Collesseum was quite strict and we were too late to go into the Roman Forum that day but as you could access this either 24 hours before or after the Colleseum we went the next day so all good. A fantastic experience and needed to show passport in the Collesseum but not the Roman Forum.

Read your emails and texts carefully

To anyone who uses aviator: Read your Texts/emails very carefully. Viator is basically operating as an “Amazon.com” business conduit. They represent all different types of tour guides and they all operate independently and differently. We got to the coliseum with only vouchers, not tickets. We had to have the tickets sent to us via WhatsApp, or we would have to walk 10 minutes from the coliseum to get paper copies. Other Viator tours would email the tickets at purchase. Anyway, it helps to read what they send you and save yourself the possible headache!

A long but enjoyable day

The Colosseum was great but just so, so crowded. We arrived early and took the time to enjoy it. The Forum and Palatine Hill were also excellent and less crowded although there was a long queue to get through the security which could not be avoided with skip the line tickets. We like to take our time, see as much as possible and take lots of photos. Allow a full day with lots of walking to get the most out of this tour.

You need to walk forever to get the actual ticket. We arrived at the colosseum only to find out we had to walk quite a way to actually get the physical ticket

Hi Dear customer, at the time of your reservation is written in your copy this is not a ticket and you have to collect your ticket from the meeting point. and address has mentioned there. if you did not followed the instruction that was not our fault. and we also sent tickets through viator apps. you have not read that mail. i hope next time you will not forget to check you email. thank you

We booked online to visit on a Sunday not knowing it costs nothing to visit on a Sunday. We arrived & nobody there to help. Waste of money and time! We did get a refund but spoiled the day.

Its was good but It’s not a fast track entry. You need to get to the upper level outside view. That’s where you see the Colosseum and its full glory. You don’t need to purchase the underground or the full experience tickets. You can get everything you want by going to the main level. When you exit, you will be able to get a view of the first level without paying extra. But that’s after you complete the full circle on the upper level. The Forum and Palatine hill are HUGE!!! We were in a 98° heat wave so there was no way we could finish them all. But we took plenty of pictures of what we couldn’t do. You definitely will get the experience you’re looking for with this tour company. However, there are no electronic devices or tour guides. And I did not see a fast track entrance. You will have to wait in line with the individuals tickets.

Terrible experience. I ended up doing it by myself. Do not recommend. They did not send me the tickets electronically as they said they would. They sent them later than the time slot agreed on. Please, do not use this agency or any of these tourist traps!

this customer has done reservation for fast entry ticket not guided tour. so, obviously they have to by them self. every customer has to come to the meeting point to change their voucher. it's mentioned on the reservation copy. if they didn't come its their responsibility not us. as they did late we given them later as they agreed. we hope they understand. thank you

We got to the coliseum at 10:00 our ticket time. They would not Let us in messaged the company they said to go to picture 2. When we got there they wouldn’t accept our tickets. Messaged them again. They didn’t respond for 2 hours. By that time we had to leave for a different tour and they would not refund our money.

everything about the entrance is written on the ticket officially by Colosseum. and there is a picture mentioned. if someone unable to understand they can ask the Colosseum staff. they will help. thanks

Horrible experience and product. Expensive tickets you never get

We purchased and then clicked "Download PDF tickets" and "email me ticket". We were told at the venue those were actually NOT the tickets as the website clearly said they are, but a voucher to redeem at a shop a mile away. We missed the entry and were told we should have read TC&C's. Support did not answer and after that also responded that the tickets needed collection. On top of this an optoop to see tickets in app, sending me on an endless loop of "confirm your email" and verification mail SW ding me back to "confirm your email". I did this loop 100 times, and then we had to move on with my friend crying. They have major tech and collection issues, as well as a website saying "download tickets" that downloads anything but. AVOID

Every visitor must come to the meeting point to exchange their voucher. Price includes service charge and ancillary cost , you can see on the tickets just the tickets price, there is also ancillary cost.

It’s a huge place and confusing where to wait and show the ticket. By mistake the tour operators had put someone else’s tickets on my name for June for we were denied entry twice and we had to double check where our ticket was to show them correct barcodes

The operator of this tour was very communicative with us, the time changed so we were given a new time slot but it wasn’t until an hour or so before that we were given instructions on where to go, with the other tours they lead you to believe there is a meeting point but there is no meeting point. They did give good and easy directions to follow so that made it easier. I would recommend this tour

Ticket reseller had a little trouble finding our tickets, but gave excellent directions, and we got there just in time.Colosseum is absolutely amazing, and our ticket included an full 24 hours access to the Forum and Palatine Hill to- we definitely could not do it all in one day.

We paid almost triple the price that was shown on the ticket provided and it isn’t “skip the line”, you enter in the same line as all “individuals” (as opposed to groups). Avoid this tour!

Fast track non existent at the entrance. Contact provided for booking never answered after payment was taken. Complete scam and association with TripAdvisor for Viator should be discontinued

the tickets is valid 24 hours and on the Tickets is written. 18:15 is the last entrance and it will be close 19:15. the price difference with the box office is service charge otherwise you can buy tickets from there wait in ticket office line couple of hours under the Sunshine. who do not want to wait in the ticket line and agree to pay us our service charge we work only for them to save their time. we encourage them they only for these service. i hope all customers will understand that.
