We were late from airport and tried 4 times with text and one call with NO response! Why no attempt to contact us on a prepaid tour for 15?

Unfortunately, Colosseum tickets are issued under specific names, dates, and time slots, and according to regulations set by the Colosseum Management, they cannot be modified, rescheduled, or refunded once issued, regardless of the reason for the delay. As tour operators, we are required to strictly comply with these rules and have no authority to make changes. For this reason, even if we had been able to respond in real time, there would have been no possibility to change the entry time or date. We always recommend arriving well in advance of the scheduled time, especially when traveling from the airport. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for choosing our service.

Beware - Listed as Refundable but switched

We decided to go with another tour. We book this - and it said on the page and when we booked that it was refundable up until 24 hours before. (I made a hard copy of the confirmation) When we decided to make a change, it showed as non-refundable. After emailing Viator, the tour company and my travel agent, I was told they would make a one time exception, and that they had changed their policy. I was given my money back, but the tour never showed as cancelled. Not sure what happened, but in the future I would wait to make my payments until 100% sure I intended to follow through. (We did make changes to other tours that had been paid for, and were immediately refunded, so I don't think this is typical - but - worth noting.

An overall good experience. We did find when we got to thd entrance that despite viewing our tickets on the App, these were only a voucher. Slightly annoying but I will say that the tour operator sorted this immediately - was easily contacted and sent the tickets straight away via WhatsApp. The audio guide was a little disappointing as our location was jumping everywhere and the audio having trouble keeping up. Still very worthwhile but remember the hill area closed for entry st 6.15pm.
