A Culinary Adventure!

Kathleen_S, Dec 2025
This was an authentic and engaging experience! Our tour guide Vinny was so knowledgable and enthusiastic, and with great pride, introduced the food culture of Rome. From the first cappuccino to the famous pizza, to the homemade fettuccine, it was a journey of flavors and culinary exploration . If you are looking for a memorable activity that leaves you feeling like you’ve spent the day with a close insider and a group of great friends, this is it! 10/10!!!

A must do ! With Irene if you are lucky.

Diane_L, Oct 2025

Roma - Cin Cin!!

Jeanette_D, Jun 2025
A great experience to get a taste of real Roman cuisine at places you will want to return to! Irene was a vibrant guide who clearly celebrates all that Rome has to offer. Lots of historical information delivered in an engaging way. Exceptionally good value - we did not eat until lunch time the next day!

Tons of Food!

This was a super tour. Giada was such a wonderful guide, and had a lot of fun with her. There were only 4 people, which made it nice. If you are going to take this tour, I would strongly suggest, DO NOT EAT ANYTHING prior. I started the morning in Florence with an early train down to Rome and then after dropping bags at my Rome hotel, went straight to the food tour for the 10:45 am tour. I had eaten a croissant in Florence before my train. There was so much food on this tour. We started out with a cappucino or macchiato, which was tasty even though I don't normally drink coffee. Then we had suppli. Then we had pizza at Bonchi, which is an amazing place but we were given 5 different kinds of pizza, enough for each of us to have 3-4 small pieces, that's where the downfall began. :) I should not have eaten 3 pieces. Then we had an amazing but large charcuterie board, which I also ate. After that I was feeling uncomfortably full, we went to the Triofonale Market, which was interesting, but there were so many food samples offered and at that point, all I could think about was finding a bathroom. So I skipped all the food samples at the market, and really wish I had been able to try the porcheta and the prosciuito. It was really interesting trying different balsamics and seeing a 100 year old balsamic and hearing about how families will use it as an educational funding source. :) By the time we got to the restaurant for pasta, I was able to eat some and fortunately that was in a small portion. And I was able to eat some gelato. It was a fantastic tour, but I should have paced myself at the beginning! I highly recommend this. I have done food tours in multiple countries and have never had one that offered so much food!

Excellence

Food was excellent and had a lot of variety. Our guide Irene was enthusiastic and shared her love of Italian food.

Awesome Food Tour of Rome with Irene 🤤😋

Elena, Apr 2025
Rome Food Tour ***Note Come Hungry*** Irene, was our tour guide and she brought a lot of energy, humor, and enthusiasm to the tour. We appreciated the opportunity to sample Italian coffee, Roman pizza, different wines, and hams from Mercato Trianfale. For pasta, we had the choice of trying Cacio e Pepe or Carbonara, both accompanied by more wine. And to end the tour on a sweet note, we ate some great gelato. Throughout our stops, Irene shared a wealth of knowledge and passion for the city, making the tour incredibly interesting.

AMAZING! The best tour we...

Best food tour I have ever been on!

A Culinary Adventure with Stefania – Absolutely Unforgettable! If you’re looking for an authentic and unforgettable food tour in Rome, look no further than The Roman Food Tour—especially if you’re lucky enough to have Stefania as your guide! From the moment we met her, her warmth, enthusiasm, and deep knowledge of Roman cuisine made this experience truly special. Stefania has an incredible way of making you feel like you’re strolling through the city with a longtime friend rather than a tour guide. Her passion for food and storytelling brought each stop to life, from savoring the perfect slice of pizza to discovering hidden gems like Il Segreto and indulging in the creamiest gelato. She not only introduced us to amazing flavors but also shared fascinating insights about Roman culinary traditions, local ingredients, and even insider tips on where to eat beyond the tour. What stood out the most was her genuine care and attention to detail. She made sure everyone in the group felt included, catered to dietary preferences effortlessly, and even had personal recommendations for each guest. Stefania’s infectious energy and love for what she does transformed this from a simple food tour into a truly immersive cultural experience. By the end of the tour, we were completely stuffed, incredibly happy, and armed with new knowledge and appreciation for Italian food. This was hands down one of the highlights of our time in Rome, and we owe so much of that to Stefania! If you’re considering this tour—do it! And if you get Stefania as your guide, consider yourself lucky. Grazie mille, Stefania, for an amazing experience!

Great Tour

Irene and Roxanne gave an outstanding tour. There were 6 of us and this tour was fantastic. Do the tour and ask for Irene and Roxanne. You won’t be disappointed

Can there be too much good food and wine?

Glenn_D, Nov 2024
Wonderful food & wine tour (read more on my Google review). Wide range of foods with excellent vino. Our highest recommendation.

Yummy!

cheryl_b, Oct 2024
Georgia, our guide, was very informative and friendly. Great experience to try all the different foods from different areas of Italy. We were very full and the gelato was amazing!

comprehensive walking food tour of rome

Sara_S, Oct 2024
super comprehensive food tour, covering markets, bakeries, restaurants, pizza, aperitivo and more! our guide was extremely well organized and clearly had strong relationships with her vendor. i would eliminate the cannoli in the first stop and substitute it with a roman baked good (people really didn’t care for it). i would also suggest the tour guide not so bluntly ask for tips since she “wasn’t working for two years”, was an uncomfortable interaction. all in all, i would recommend this tour!

Had such a great time on...

Cheryl_W, Sep 2024
Had such a great time on our food tour. Not only was our tour guide, Chiara, very friendly and knowledgeable, the food we tasted was very delicious. We all went home very full.

Fabulous Food Tour in Rome

Carole_d, Jun 2024
Stephanie was a wonderful guide. She was friendly and engaging and really knew Italian food. She took us on a whirlwind tour of some interesting and fun places to enjoy some excellent food! The pizza was the best I’ve had in Italy, with unusual toppings. We toured the open market and sampled some cold cuts and cheeses, as well as some wine. We had a chance to try truffles, olive oil and aged balsamic vinegar, and ended at a lovely restaurant for pasta carbonara and tiramisu!

A Food Extravaganza!

Donna_R, Jun 2024
Stefania was our outstanding guide for this food extravaganza! We started our tour with the excellent coffee/ espresso of your choice at a La Nicchia Cafe and from there we went to a busy Bonci Pizzarium for the most unique pizza toppings. Then back to La Nicchia Cafe for a private gourmet tasting of olive oil, pesto, balsamic vinegar & cheese. After the wonderful tastings, Stefani took us to the Trionfale Market with more tastings of eggplant parmigiana, meats, cheese & wine. A unique experience we enjoyed! Then off to a fabulous lunch at IL Segreto with a choice of 3 different, freshly made pastas, wine & tiramisu and wonderful service. Truly stuffed by then. During all of this Stefania explained some of history and uniqueness of Italian cuisine. She was a excellent guide who really made it a memorable Rome food tour for us!

Our friendly food tour

Our tour guide Marina did a great job. She selected an amazing variety of food that included delicious appetizers, world famous Bonci’s pizza, fantastic pasta, wines and much more. It ended with the best tiramisu ever! This tour served more food than other food tours we’ve been on. We highly recommend it!

An interesting and fun experience.

Shane_M, Apr 2024
Celeste was a great tour guide. She was knowledgeable and interesting, and was able to create a really good atmosphere for our group. The food we sampled was excellent-my favourite was the aged balsamic vinegar at 180euros a litre! Many thanks -would definitely recommend!

Highly recommend!

Karen_S, Mar 2024
First of all - our tour guide, Lucy, was amazing. She was incredibly knowledgeable, very friendly, and made sure we were all having a great time every step of the way. The food was delicious and I felt like we got some true taste of Italy. The pace of the stops was also really good considering we were out and eating for four hours. I was full at the end, but not in pain :-) I would highly recommend this tour for anyone. I was on the tour with my 17-year-old son and it was one of his favorite parts of the trip.
