Terrific tour! our guide...

Terrific tour! our guide gave us a real feel for the history behind the temples, arches, and buildings throughout the Forum - he was very knowledgeable and also had a great sense of humor! My husband had some mobility issues which he took into account and kindly gave direction to us! All in all a fantastic experience!

Extremely disappointed

Purchased the " small group tour of Roman forum, Palatine Hill and Circus Maximus specifically because my husband races horses and made circus maximus his top sights to see. The small group tour combined people with differently named tours together. Our guide walked us through Roman forum and up to a lookout point at which time we realized that we're not only not going to circus maximus but could not see it, as the lookout point was on the wrong side. Our guide said he never does circus maximus and suggested we walk back with him to speak to the tour operator. The other people in our group had to do the same as their tour was supposed to have circus maximus. We were on top of palatine hill for less than 5 minutes before the guide walked us back, which was a huge disappointment as there is so much to see there. Back at the kiosk we were told that there is " nothing to see at circus maximus" and that we could have seen it from top of palatine hill. Both of those are incorrect as our guide did not have time to walk us to a place on the hill to see circus maximus. We ended waking over to circus maximus and did a wonderful tour with vr goggles and guide. Would highly recommend. Later that day we also did a separate tour of palatine Hill and were amazed how much was there to see . Don't let your guide only take you to the one lookout, there is so much more there. I'm extremely dissatisfied with the original tour, as it was very pricy and we got so little experience for it.

However, there appears to have been a misunderstanding as our tour description clearly states that the Circus Maximus will only be viewed from the top of the Palatine Hill and will not be visited. Enjoyable tour with a great guide

Enjoyed the tour with Rosy, an excellent guide. Booking it was simple and the information that came with the ticket was very useful. Also appreciated being able to upload it into my wallet. One day earlier we were informed that the start of the tour was moved from 11:30 to 11:00, which suited us fine.
