When I booked our tour, one of my children was 17 years old. By the day of the tour, he had turned 18. We checked in with the group, received our headsets, and proceeded to the entrance of the Colosseum. That’s when we were denied entry because the ticket listed him as 17 while his passport correctly showed he was now 18.
What was most disappointing wasn’t the entry issue itself—it was the complete lack of assistance from the tour operator. The guide simply collected our headsets, told us to “have a nice day,” and continued the tour without us. We were left outside after paying for a guided experience that we never received.
I’ve spent the entire day calling and emailing, and it appears there is no intention of offering any refund or meaningful resolution.
Viator, do better.

Customers understand that mistakes can happen. What matters is how you treat people when they do. Unfortunately, in our case, there was no effort whatsoever to help or find a solution.

Outstanding and knowledgeable tour guide. Our guide was really engaging. We didn't enter the Colosseum but I think this is the perfect tour for someone who wants to gain a general knowledge of the area and it's history.

We did not enjoy our tour experience overall. We felt that a lot of the information shared were random tidbits rather than capturing the overall history of the Colosseum. Our tour guide moved on to new spots without ensuring she had the whole group together, and spoke quickly and wordily. We didn’t even catch her name. This all could be partly due to the headphone set quality and the amount of people visiting the monuments at the same time - which is unfortunate considering it wasn’t the time we originally booked for.
It does seem, however, that our tour guide studies the history of Rome extensively and maybe an extremely small tour group (1-4) would be better suited to her tour style.

It's about 3 hours long, a fair amount of interesting archeological info included. An option was given part way through the Forum tour which our group enjoyed though involving a slightly strenuous climb.

Our guide Maria was fantastic and so knowledgable.
The facts and stories that she told us about the Roman Forum and Colosseum really made you feel like you could see how it was back in its glory days.
Not one part of the tour was rushed and any questions you had Maria always had the answer.
There was plenty of time to stop whenever you wanted to take a picture.
Would highly recommend booking a tour with this company!

Very informative tour. Our guide Daniel gave us a good flavor of the history and architecture. It takes about 3.5 hours so plan accordingly with good shoes. There are some places to fill your water bottle.
The tour took us to special areas in the Roman forum and Colosseum which were not available in general tickets. The ability to skip the long lines is a blessing!

Guide was great! Felicity took us through coliseum and Hill. She was interesting to listen gave great info and had our group interacting with each other. She knew all our names right away and our friends said that she was the best guide that they have ever had.

By far, one of the most informative tours ever. A great deal if walking and standing. We were given good time for breaks and the guide was passionate and knowledgeable on the history and structures. One of our favorite tours, highly recommended and will do it again!

Our tour went wonderful. Some tours tend to be boring but our guide Susana made it very interesting and at the same time super informative. Throughout the tour she made jokes and communicated with our group. She took us to important monuments and showed amazing places during the tour. At the end she showed the best gelato and tiramisu places. My daughters and I loved our tour and our guide! Thank you for everything dear Susana!

Bonne expérience avec notre guide, qui nous a bien expliqué l'histoire du Colisée. En revanche, arrivés à la colline Palpatine le tour a été plus expédié et nous avons terminé en 2h20 sans passer par le Forum Romain, alors qu'il était indiqué 3h, un peu déçus.
Nous avions aussi pris ce tour car il se distinguait par le fait que nous avions 30min libre dans le Colisée pour prendre des photos mais la guide ne nous a pas laissé ce temps.
Plutôt mitigés, les explications étaient très bien, mais nous sommes restés sur notre faim.
