Not fit for people who are not in very good physical shape !

First & foremost, make sure you are in reasonable physical condition. The Forum is full of climbing parts, some VERY steep & long. Unless you are in great physical shape & can follow the terrain you might want to reconsider the visit. We had to leave after the 1st hour as the physical demand was ubearable. Even tho we went at the end of March (to avoid summer heat & huge crowds) We beat the heat but had to contend with huge crowds that made it very difficult to see much as there were always several rows of people between us & what we were trying to see. For these 2 reasons not only were we unable to see the Forum but also had to forfeit our visit to the Colosseum which we purchased as a package of both visits.

We had an excellent experience with our native tour guide/driver Jacopo! We had a rainy day, but because the carts are covered and sided, we were shielded from the rain and still had an awesome time. Our driver was basically a historian, he took us to little known places that were hidden gems that are hard to find in tour guide books. We also got a great overview of Central Rome and the major sites, which helped us tremendously in deciding what we wanted to focus on later in our trip. I would recommend getting a small group tour - It’s easier to get a more personalized experience.

Emanuele was a wonderful guide. He gave us a rich history of Rome, the sights, and was a great photographer. I highly recommend booking the tour at the front end of your trip, as my daughter and I did. This allowed us to see restaurants, sites, and city sections to add to our stay! Emanuele was great! A great tour guide showed us the important places for our first time in Rome. We did a night tour the first day we got in so we can see everything at night then day (another tour). He was informative and fun. We stopped for some Delicious gelato. Soaked in the sights in 2.5 hours. He was so kind to call around and find a restaurant and made a reservation for us in a wonderful authentic and local restaurant (Fieramosca)- great choice! Perfect balance of flexibility and seeing LOTS of the city. Emmanuel was so nice, provided us with great information, and just a pleasure to spend the afternoon with. Emanuele was the BEST! He picked us up at the colosseum after our previous tour ended, had cold waters ready in a cooler, and navigated the busy streets of Rome like it was nothing! He showed us places we never would've found on our own, gave us cool facts about the history of everything we passed, and crazily enough, he had visited our hometown, so we were able to relate on so many levels! He spoke perfect English, took us to his favorite gelato shop, and even helped me find an authentic watercolor painting. We were only in Rome for 8 hours, so this tour was the PERFECT way to see all the sights I really wanted to see without killing my feet. We never could've fit it all in. Emanuele dropped us off at a few locations and gave us free time to explore, waiting nearby in the golf cart. We LOVED it.

We had a wonderful time and Ludivito (Pato) and his associate (sorry I didn’t catch his name) were the best tour guides! We took the 6:00 pm tour and the weather was perfect! What an awesome tour! We scheduled the golf cart tour for the afternoon that we arrived so that we could get out and see the city without having to plan anything ourselves. Our guide took us to several top sights and then followed up with a great dinner recommendation close to our hotel. Highly recommend booking this; you'll get to see so much of the city in a short amount of time.

Extremely disappointing. We had booked one cart for our family of 5 and ended up with two smaller carts. The driver of the first cart who was our designated driver, Ciro, drove like an absolute maniac. We felt lucky to finish the tour in one piece. The guide was very cursory in his explanation of various landmarks and basically dropped us off at various points and told us to go take photos and walk around while he waited at the golf cart. His input and attentiveness were very poor. After paying a very excessive charge of 590 euro for this very brief and poor tour, we would be very wary of taking any further tours through Viator.

For groups of five or more, especially navigating Rome's narrow historic streets, using two smaller, maneuverable golf carts is often necessary to ensure both safety and a smooth, compliant tour. This allows us to access areas larger vehicles cannot. Specially if we provide the pick up directly at the hotel. Regarding your comments about Ciro's driving and guiding style, we are genuinely surprised and concerned. Ciro is consistently one of our most highly-rated guides, with a near 100% 5-star rating across all his tours. Our golf carts have a maximum speed of approximately 18 miles/h (30 km/h), making it impossible to drive "like an absolute maniac." Our drivers are rigorously trained for safety and adherence to all city regulations. Ciro's usual approach is to provide rich historical context at each site and then offer guests time to explore, take photos, and immerse themselves, while remaining close by with the golf cart for comfort and convenience. We regret if this approach didn't meet your expectations for continuous commentary. We always strive to provide exceptional value and memorable experiences, and we're sorry that you felt the tour was brief or poor, especially considering the effort our team puts into customizing each experience. We were on a cruise and in Rome for just the day. The golf cart was the perfect way to get a feel for the city and see the main sights. Our guide took us to the back roads away from the crowds and knew all the history behind what we were seeing. I would absolutely do this again. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend a golf cart tour for anyone visiting Rome for a few days. We did a private tour which allowed adjustments to some of the sites we visited. Andrea Uzzo Bertollini was our tour guide and was exceptional explaining each of the locations we visited and giving time to explore, take pictures and visit sites, thank you Andrea for a great experience it made our day as we would never have got to visit all these wonderful places in the short time we have.
