    Colosseum augmented reality broken

    We booked for the augmented tour of the colosseum, was really excited until we were told outside the colosseum on the day that the app was getting an update, so it wasn’t available. Wasn’t told beforehand or would have cancelled. Was offered a tour of the colosseum instead. That is not the 1st time I have booked through Viator and didn’t get what we paid for.

    Thank you for your feedback, and we’re truly sorry for the disappointment caused. Unfortunately, the augmented reality app was undergoing an unexpected update on the day of your visit, which made it temporarily unavailable. We understand how frustrating it must have been not to be informed in advance, and we sincerely apologize for that. As an alternative, we offered a guided tour of the Colosseum so that your visit could still be meaningful and informative despite the issue. While this is not the experience you originally booked, it was the best available option at the time. We completely understand your concerns and your expectations, especially as a returning Viator customer, and we will take your feedback seriously to improve our communication and avoid similar situations in the future.
