Great experience.

Wanda_S, Mar 2026
The vineyard was so beautiful and the views were amazing. We loved the explanations of the differences with the grapes, vines, and wines of the region. Paula was wonderful. Our tour of the village was fun and interesting too. We enjoyed being out of the busy Rome city and in a quieter village.

Response from Host, Mar 2026

Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re really happy to hear you enjoyed the vineyard, the views, and learning more about the local grapes and wines. Paula will be delighted to know she made your experience even more special! It’s great that you also appreciated the time in the village—stepping away from the busy city is always a highlight of this tour 😊 We hope to welcome you again in Rome soon!

It was a historic straightforward tour of the winery. Paulina the wine tourer was amazing, very smart of her roots. Love the vineyards despite it was cold a bit and didn’t see any grapes, but saw the underground cellar production, tasted some wines, cheeses, such a memorable experience. Dominique the tour guide was so energic and awesome of going her way to show me and the group Frascati! Had a nice lunch at the end. However, the only big disappointment for me that made it 3 stars for me was that there were two groups instead of one was I thought it said it on the itinerary which was annoying. I made nice friends and connections in my 1st group, but come lunch time I was told to have lunch with the second group instead of my original group because of my gender and I was upset. My original group was mixed genders and we had no problems at all. I didn’t knew anyone and felt uncomfortable to talk a bit but I tried and the second group wasn’t kinda nice to me a bit. Overall, awesome experience but didn’t like being separates and picked on at end of my tour and I took it very personal!

Response from Host, Mar 2026

Thank you for your detailed feedback—we’re really glad to hear you enjoyed the winery, the tastings, and the experience with Paulina and Dominique. Regarding the seating at lunch, we’d like to clarify that arrangements at the restaurant are handled in a very casual and practical way, simply based on availability at the moment. There was absolutely no intention to separate guests for any specific reason, and we’re sorry if this gave you a different impression. We truly appreciate your comments and hope to welcome you again for another enjoyable experience. Regards, Francesco

Food great. Wine great. No cave.

Lovely Friday lunch tour

Claire_V, Jul 2024
The white wine and sweet wine were amazing. The host of the vineyard and Frascati tour guide were amazing. The food was to die for! The only problem was not being able to buy a bottle of the wine to take home with us

Perfection In Italy!

Donna_B, Jun 2024
The winemaker & guides were absolutely FABULOUS! We learned so much, and see why Frascati is so proud of their wine. It was a perfect day in every way. Thank you!

Don't listen to the detractors - one.of the better wine and food tasting experiences in the area

Meggan_j, Apr 2024
We are red wine lovers who have both been on many food and wine tours in a few countries, and we generally find there is a theme that some tours are intended to do one of 2 things: push products the operators/collaborators want to sell, or get us very full and drunk to collect good reviews. (This is generally done, to be fair, with a generous helping of education on the local culture.) Accordingly, some of the reviews we read on this tour mentioned not getting enough food or wine, or complained about the vineyard wanting to give too long an explanation of the cultivation process. We assume that these reviews are from travelers who expected this to be a tour intended to pump them full of food and get them drunk and ship them back to their start. Contrary to many of the other reviews, we found this tour exactly what it's described as, an education of the local wine and making. We found the vineyard enchanting and the owner operator fun and charming and knowledgeable. We loved all stops, left extremely full and consumed far beyond sufficient quantities of wine. We loved taking the train to and from the town of Frascati as part of the experience. What we loved most about this tour was that the goal was truly to educate you on the wine of the region and introduce you to Frascati and allow you to explore this quiet and picturesque city away from the hustle and bustle of Roma. We also loved that there were a huge diversity of nationalities on the tour. What we didn't love is we are red wine drinkers and we drank all but 1 glass of white - because this is a white wine region - not the tour operator fault! - we like trying new things! If your goal is to get pass-out drunk or puke-up full, then this is not the tour for you. But if you enjoy culture and the process behind your food and drink combined with cool people and great food and sufficient quantities of wine, especially with a less commercial feel, this is for you. Book it. You won't be sorry!!

Response from Host, May 2024

Thank you for highlighting the authentic and non-commercial vibe of our tour. We aim to provide a memorable and fulfilling experience for all our guests, and we're elated to hear that we succeeded with you. We appreciate your recommendation and look forward to welcoming you back for more cultural exploration and delightful wine discoveries in the future!

Not Quite What We Expected

Lisa_H, Oct 2023
The tour began when we easily took the train from Rome. Upon arrival we were greeted by the tour guide along with the other 28 people on the tour. First shock, since we expected a small group tour of 10. We were split up into vans for the ride to the vineyard where we were met by a member of the family who talked to us while waiting for the others to arrive. Again, we did not expect to be part of a group of 30 and this really diminished our experience. We were taken into the wine cave and given some lovely Frascati wine to sample. The guide here was excellent, but the group size posed a problem. We then went outside to taste more wine and have cheese and bread. More information was shared, but the group size made it difficult to hear. We were then sent to the town in our vans where we were split into two groups of 15 for a tour of the town. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of good information. We stopped for a small bite pork sandwich then went to lunch. This was a disappointment, as it was not a pasta lunch as advertised. It was more of a charcuterie board appetizer. Not sure if the other group got the pasta lunch. We were disappointed in the size of the group, as the information available to us stated a small group of no more than 10 people and we were much larger than that.

Beautiful wine filled day

Nathan_P, Sep 2023
Amazing experiance in A beautiful town just outside of Rome. The tour guide was amazing and friendly.

Informative but not as relaxing as I thought

Princess_G, Sep 2023
The winery is beautiful and family owned and run. The guide spoke a lot and gave us great details but the stand is too long for my taste. We stood as she talked for at least 2 hours , walking around the vineyard then in the cave. I enjoyed the expierence but wish we were offered water when we got there and did not have to stand for so long. The wine was delicious , just wish it were more options for the tasting part . The tour guide that took us around the town of Friscati was funny and made the tour enjoyable .

Fabulous Frascati Visit

richard_b, Aug 2023
Our tour of the Frascati Vineyard was fantastic, informative about the history of the vineyard , the region and winemaking process. The village of Frascati was totally picturesque and unspoiled. Our guide lived in the town and shared her personal local experiences with food and wine. The vineyard snacks and the complete lunch in town were excellent examples of the local cuisine.

The wine guide talked too...

McKenzie_P, Jun 2023
The wine guide talked too long. Only tasted 3 wines. Talked too much. City guide was not the best. Guide got mad at someone on the tour because the kitchen messed up the order and it was very uncomfortable.

Response from Host, Jun 2023

Hello McKenzie, thanks for your review. I can't really speak to your comments about the length of the tour or amount of talking, as it is something that is specified in the description of the tour: there's a guided tour both in Frascati town and at the winery. At the winery you taste 3 wines, which the description also states. You do have house wine at the bakery in town and wine at lunch as well. As for the situation at the restaurant, the guide didn't get upset with anyone, however there was a guest who needed to wait an additional few minutes for their pasta dish because they ordered cacio e pepe and changed their mind when the dish arrived. The restaurant allowed the change and made them a new dish (amatriciana). Our guide was there for the ordering and delivery of the dishes and is certain that the guest ordered cacio e pepe, but the kitchen was really nice to make a new dish. It didn't seem to impact the mood of the group on the tour as the guest was quickly accommodated.

the tour guide was very knowledgeable and described the wines with great detail. i can now call myself a wine fanatic

Worth it! Highly recommend!

Katelyn_S, May 2023
We loved this experience! It was so easy to get there from Rome, the views and house were amazing, and the wine was so good! We also loved the lunch experience afterward. We highly recommend this experience!

Underwhelming experience

Binnur_Y, May 2023
I felt the tour was quite overpriced for what it was. We weren’t offered much wine. 3 glasses at the vineyard itself with one of the glasses being of the higher quality wine. Lunch was included but we didn’t enjoy this so didn’t eat it. The guides themselves were very lovely and shared lots of knowledge with us. However, I wouldn’t book again as for the price I really didn’t feel it was worth it.

Amazing Frascati wine tour

Bigtoe, Mar 2023
We got picked up from the station and driven to the vineyard. The vineyard was very good the tour was informative and friendly. Joanna the tour guide was great aswell. Food and wine where amazing as was the tour of Frascati with a fantastic lunch and more wine. Highly recommended 👌

A great getaway from Rome

Varun_S, Dec 2022
This was an amazing tour! We got lucky with a beautiful day spent at a beautiful wine yard. Paula passionately told us about the process of creating wines with extensive clarifications on storage, harvesting, etc. And the wines offered for tasting were delicate and crisp. Frascati is a small town, and it’s tour was quick. But the meal we had was delicious!

Educational and highly recommended

Sarah_S, Dec 2022
Great explanations and well organised. Very educational. Owner shared alot of valuable knowledge and didn’t try to sell the wine too

This was a lot of fun....

Torpey_W, Oct 2022
This was a lot of fun. The winery was family operated and very cozy. The tour in the town of Frascati was intimate and the lunch was good. We met some great people and had great conversations with our new “family”. One warning about the Termini train station in Rome. Get there EARLY. It is a big station and navigating to the correct place is time consuming and hard to understand.

Great way to spend a day outside of Rome

Keith_A, Sep 2022
The Frascati wine tour could not have been better. Everything from the history of the winery to lunch at the end of the tour was great. Our hosts, Valeria and Joanna, made the tour special. The wines we tasted were excellent . If you need a day from the chaos of Rome this is the tour for you.

An adventure that you don’t want to miss!

Susan_B, Sep 2022
My husband and I had the most fabulous time on this excursion! Our guides were so friendly and knowledgeable from the winery to the town of Frascati. We were amazed at all of the offerings that were included! Wine tastings with food and then in town lunch with wine! Incredible! We would highly recommend this to everyone!

Beautiful and interesting tour!

Rebecca_W, Aug 2022
My boyfriend and I chose this tour and we had a lovely time. The instructions for getting there were clear, and someone was waiting at the station for us when we arrived. The taxi ride to the winery was a bit cramped but that is my only complaint! The winery was gorgeous, we had time to explore and then we got a very interesting tour of the ancient wine cellars. After we had delicious appetizers with the wine tasting. Then we were taken back to town for a small tour delicious lunch! Our tour guides were friendly, enthusiastic, and a joy to talk to. This is a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of the city! Highly recommend!

A wonderful way to spend the day!

Kim_V, Aug 2022
We took the store on July 30. It was a perfect way to spend my son‘s birthday. We were picked up at the train station with no problem and brought to the winery. Paola was very informative as she took us around through the olive trees and grapevines and through the old part of where they stored the wines. It was very pleasant sitting in the shaded area tasting different wines and having cheese and bread. Then they took us to Frascati and we had another tour guide take us around the town and we sampled a pork sandwich and then went to a restaurant for pasta and then had free time. A fabulous day!
