Overview

Kick off your day in Rome by learning how to make fresh pasta from scratch and other beloved specialties with this hands-on cooking class. Being our 25th wedding anniversary and first time in Rome, we wanted to do something different and special. We booked this cooking class and loved every minute of it! Starting off at the local outdoor market and learning about what ingredients we will be using was amazing! The cooking studio was a short walk away and was professionally set up! We made 2 different pastas from scratch and tiramisu all the while sipping on prosecco!! Can’t say enough about this experience! 5 stars all the way!

Two experiences for the price of one .

We arrived late (7 people), and the wrong location-we were supposed to meet Chef Gianni at the market (I forgot). We were in his lovely home, sipping white wine. If I shared the details of my experience, it would spoil yours. Chef Gianni is not only an exceptional teacher but he is also a stand up comedian-for 4 hours!! My wish for you, Chef, is that you are discovered by a media type producer/director that propells you to international fame and fortune. My wish for me is to return to Rome and meet you in the market- to see what I missed. Oh, I almost forgot, I learned a few cooking skills AND our meal was delicious!!!!

I loved the enthusiasm of our chef. He was very positive and encouraging. He connected well with all members of our group. He was very organized and managed the time well so that we were able to make many dishes without feeling rushed or running out of time. He was very knowledgeable about his country and the foods and described things clearly. He was fun and funny and we had a great time and made and ate delicious Italian foods! Thank you!!

The energy was present as soon as we walked into Gianni's kitchen! The smells, the music, the charisma! So much fun! This was our last night in a Rome and it was a blast. My kids, 11 and 13, also LOVED making pasta with Gianni and we are all excited to bring home the recipes and try them on our own. So fun and so delish! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a cooking class. Plenty of Prosecco while you prep and wine while you dine too! Gianni is so welcoming and warm. It is sure to be a highlight of your trip!

Probably my favorite activity in the week we spent in Rome! Gianni and Cesare were so much fun and incredibly knowledgeable about the cuisine. They were engaging and we laughed the whole afternoon. The food was absolutely delicious! We tried new things and loved it all! I cannot wait to recreate at home. We left with a sweet gift but more importantly, a priceless memory. Book this class!!

What a memorable way to end our time in Rome and Italy. Gianni and his colleague, MK, were beyond hospitable, knowledgeable and generous in sharing their tips and tricks. The little shopping trip through Campo dei Fiori was a nice way to start the day. Their cooking studio was well appointed and easy for our small group to maneuver. It was beautifully decorated too. We learned a lot and made 4 courses and enjoyed it together with lovely wine with our group. We would do it again and again and recommend it to anyone looking for this experience. Felt very authentic. Above all, its obvious Gianni does this with his heart. Couldn’t ask for a better teacher and host.

Six of our family participated in this class, and it was our favorite experience during a month in Italy! Gianni was a great teacher, everyone in the class participated in preparing the meal from scratch, and the food was excellent. We've taken many cooking classes in the US and Europe and this was by far the best. With a small class of 8, each person got a little individual instruction so we were all successful and will be able to recreate the dishes, including my 13-year-old grandson. The studio was lovely and Gianni made the experience fun! If you love to cook, this class is a must!

Frank and I had an amazing experience with “Cook with us in Rome!” Cesare, our chef was not only very informative but very personable and had us laughing throughout. Such an amazing experience with Gianni. He is so patient and explains every detail. He is also such a warm person that we enjoyed the class even more! This class is also one of the few we looked at that has a full menu of appetizers, dessert, pasta, and sauce! Note most classes don’t teach you how to make the sauce! I would definitely recommend and would do this again when in Rome.

Myself and boyfriend throughly loved this experience. I have always wanted to attend a cooking class and then choose this on our trip to role. June 2023 Caesar was kind and helpful with anything we could need, great environment, made everyone feel welcome and as kind enough to keep our wine glass full and was the life of the event with his terrific humour and personality. Must Do in Rome

We were in Rome for 10 days and have taken quite a few tours/activities. This one rates as one of THE best. Cesare was the perfect host. He's charming, engaging, makes all feel welcome, and imparts lot of information. We started at the Campo di Fiori food market, where he bought ingredients, and explained many things about them. Who knew Italians prepare artichokes totally differently than we do in the US? We then went to their studio in Trastevere. It's a wonderful venue, specifically (or so it seems) designed for cooking classes. The time passed so quickly. We laughed, we tried to follow directions and produce decent food (surprisingly successful), with Cesare's superb instructions and patience. Then we all sat together to enjoy the delicious meal we prepared. He created comraderie so that it felt like we were dining with (almost) old friends. If you've ever considered a cooking class, even if you don't cook, make sure you find time to enjoy this wonderful class. My husband doesn't cook and he had the best time.

Caesar was an excellent guide and teacher. We loved going through the market and getting to taste the fresh produce. Upon getting back to the cooking studio we prepared multiple courses and got a lot of really great tips. Enjoying the meal after was the best part and the food was incredible! Would 100% do again.
