The tour reservations have strict timing. To join the tour you are required to be at the meeting point for check-in at least 30 minutes prior to your tour departure time.
Please provide the full names of all travelers when booking. Failure to present a voucher with all travelers' full names at the ticket office prior to entry may result in denied entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
Please be advised capacity regulations and security may delay the tour departure This could also influence the smooth running of the tour especially on national holidays and events.
Cancellations, changes or issues due to weather, security and events held by the monument are beyond our control and are directly decided by their administration team. These issues will be reviewed by us and dealt with on an individual basis but are the responsibility of the monument.
All visitors must pass through the monument/attraction security check please allow at least 20 minutes to clear security.
The exact timings and reservations can vary, dependant on the monument/attractions administration offices availabilities and decisions on the booking day and can be subject to last minute changes. Departure time can differ up to 20 minutes from your selected time.

Due to uneven surfaces, this tour is not recommended for those with walking disabilities or using a wheelchair.
Please be aware that large bags/backpacks/suitcases are not permitted in the monument/ attraction. Only very small bags are allowed. Please do not bring these items with you on the day of your tour as there are no cloakrooms at the monument.
Each traveler must present a valid passport or ID document that matches the name provided at the time of booking for successful entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Pets are not allowed inside the venue
All the refund requests must be done within and not later than 48 hours from the day of the tour
If you arrive late for the meeting time, it will not be possible to join the group or reschedule, unless you pay for the activity again. As per "No Show" rules you will not be entitled to a refund.
The itinerary may vary depending on weather conditions (ice, rain, or high temperatures) or other events beyond the travel agency's control.

Sound system was poor and tour guide walked too fast. You could do this on your own. Also, there were many artifacts and cases not pointed out.

Eva was our tour guide and found her very well researched and informative, she was also very considerate and patient with the group and their needs including but not limited to considerate of shade and the need for water and bathroom breaks, and i personally found her engaging, articulate and very friendly to everyone, the tour itself was well organised and well prepared ensuring everyone in the group was accounted for especially in the throng of other groups! The worst tour

This was the worst tour I have ever been on… our guide was truly terrible. I have experienced tours at the colosseum 4 times and this one sadly was so disappointing. I was joined by three people who were going to the colosseum for the first time and they were excited to be enlightened by the history of the colosseum. In the contrary they learned nothing, did not enjoy the experience and also were unimpressed with the entire landmark because of the lack of explanation received during the tour.

Purchasing a Viator tour was worth it, as the guide, Eddie was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about sharing the history of the coliseum. The line to purchase the general admission tickets was would have been 3 to 4 hours! I can’t imagine any other way to experience this renowned landmark. Eddie did a great job! 👍🏼👍🏼

Disappointing and misleading

The guide was excellent. However we never got physical tickets, and so we did not get access to the Forum and Palatine Hill, which came with Colosseum tickets. The ticket people at the Forum were surprised at this. The books all say you get access to the Forum and Palatine Hill. This lack of access should have been disclosed in the tour description! Very deceptive!

This was not as advertised AT ALL. The meeting point set up was incredibly confusing and not well organized. The tour guide spoke English but had a very thick accent that was near impossible to understand. It also said skip the line and small group - neither of which were true. Our group was so big we had to split into two to go through security after waiting in a 30 minute line, just to wait an additional 25 minutes to re-gather the group. We started the tour an hour later because of the wait and then the tour guide’s microphone was poor quality and the audio along with her accent made it difficult to hear any of the historical commentary. Poor experience, would not recommend.

Guide was knowledgeable but the organization of the tour lacked significantly. The one hour tour ended up being 3 hours with delays in waiting for the guide, security issues with a person who the managers added to the group late.

I will be calling Viator for a refund. They combined the 3 of us with a 1.5 hour tour so we barely got in before we had to leave. The tour operator had no idea what our tour was.
