On arrival please head to the upper level exit of the Colosseum Metro Station, where you'll find our representatives wearing purple 'Crown Tours' shirts. Customers are required to arrive 15 minutes prior to the activity start time. Late arrivals cannot be guaranteed entrance.

- Each traveler must present a valid passport or ID document that matches the name provided at the time of booking for successful entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
- Please provide the full names of all travelers when booking. Failure to present a voucher with all travelers' full names at the ticket office prior to entry may result in denied entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
- ID may be required for entrance (especially for guests under the age of 18). Guests who show up without ID cannot be guaranteed entrance.
- It is forbidden to bring inside the Colosseum: glass, sharped objects, alcohol, spray
- Comfortable shoes are recommended
- In July and August due to the heat the duration of the visit is 2 hours and a half
- Upon choosing our guided tour, you acknowledge and accept that the admission fee to the archaeological sites is 16 euros for adults, accompanied by a 2 EUR booking fee, and free admission ticket for children under 18. The remaining amount is voluntary and includes services provided by skilled licensed guides, headsets, booking fees, and other tour amenities. Our goal is to provide transparency and ensure your understanding of the cost breakdown, allowing you to fully recognize the value of our guided experience.
- The order of the tour is subject to internal arrangements at the Colosseum, we highly suggest you to contact us for any question.

We had a wonderful tour of the Colosseum, Forum and Palantine Hill. Valerio was a fantastic guide. As a trained archeologist, he really knew about the layered history of Rome and we had a very insightful tour. Valerio added little details and stories about life in ancient Rome which made the tour really interesting

Guide was not that knowledgeable about Palatine Hill / Roman Forum but was knowledgeable about colosseum.

The tour people never showed up or left before we got there. We were there by 1:35 and there was no one there to meet us. So disappointing. Definitely wouldn't recommend.

The tour director was excellent. The venues were just over crowded. It was nice to have the tour at least. The tour guide was knowledgeable but was hard to understand at times with ascent as I’m hard of hearing. The ear bud pieces cut out a lot.

Understand climbing many stairs…catch your breath if you need to (I did). You get a feeling of accomplishment once you get to the walkway of the dome!!!

Great tour! Our guide Catalina was amazing. So knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Rome . I highly recommend this tour. Please know that once you arrive at the listed “ meeting spot “ you will be redirected to the actual meeting spot up the street. You must allow enough time to account for all the traffic in this area.

The tour was very educational, and Alessandro, our guide was passionate and knowledgeable. We walked the different floors of the colosseum, then visited Palentine Hill and finished with the Roman Forum. Lots of stairs, some steep. Let the guide know if you need an elevator. Our tour took about 4 hours. Wear comfortable shoes and be open to sharing space with crowds of people

Excellent tour of the Coliseum
A tip -
Make sure the name on your ticket matches the name on your passport . I am Susan but since I was a teenager I have always been known as Sue . When I went to Crown Tours to check in this was explained to me and it was 50:50 whether I would get into the Coliseum . My name booked with Crown Tours was Sue , the name on my passport was Susan . I did get in but I was very concerned until I had got through the entrance process at the Coliseum
Our guide was excellent , very clear and happy to explain any questions
The only negative , myself and my husband wear hearing aids . Crown Tours provided us with an ear piece which was very comfortable . However , when the guide talked when she walking around it was difficult to hear

They changed the meeting point last minute and one of my family members walks slowly so we were late by 2 minutes to the time and they said sorry no refunds and the tour guide already left. I asked if we could just catch up to the tour guide and they said no.

We would like to clarify that our meeting point does not change last-minute. It is always located at our office, clearly stated on both the voucher and confirmation email. Our team is stationed there to assist guests prior to the tour start time, and we make every effort to wait a few extra minutes when possible.
However, due to the strict timed-entry policy of the Colosseum, we are unable to delay the group beyond the scheduled entry slot. Once the guide enters with the group, it's not possible to catch up or rejoin, as entrance is regulated and controlled.

We did this tour today and ended up with 6 in our group. It meant we couldn’t join the “skip the queue” because of our small group (our tour guide tried but the coliseum guards wouldn’t let us), but that wasn’t a problem at all as the line (that looked SO long) moved really quickly (less than 15 minutes), and our tour guide talked to us the whole time about what we were looking at. It just seemed like it was part of the tour.
Our tour guide was Alessandro B. and he was great. So informative, friendly, happy to answer any questions we had and made the tour a really great experience. We were really happy we booked this.
The Roman Forum / Paletine Hill was great too.
Something to note when you book the tour, don’t use your nickname/shortened first name on the booking. I did so and apparently sometimes the coliseum staff won’t let people in if their booking name doesn’t match the name on the passport/ID. Luckily, they did let me through.

It was a great tour. Our guide was very knowledgable and kind. The heat (97 degrees) really got to us and we had to abandon the tour near the end to rest and rehydrate, but still appreciated the tour very much.

This was a great tour of the Colosseum, Forum, and Palatine Hill. Damiano our tour guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and open to questions.
We had only a group of four which made it much more personalized.
There is a good amount of walking and some stairs, so good walking shoes are a must. Also, bring something to stay hydrated.

This small group (about 12 people) tour was q great way to see the colosseum and the surrounding areas. Even with the crazy Easter crowds, our guide found quiet spots to pull us aside and give us all the background information he could about the events that took place at each location. Tours are done via a microphone and each person has an ear piece. I would suggest bringing your own headphones since the ones given are not the best, but they get the job done.
