Scammer. Do not use.

This tour noted they could get day of entry tickets. This is false. Then they attempted to contact us hours in advance noting they couldn’t get us in. Plus, the use What’s in Italy tours on their ticket. We met directly with What’s in Italy tour owner who said this is a known scammer. We WILL get our money back by disputing the charge. Don’t attempt to book with this company for short turn around tickets! Just go directly to the Colosseum ticket office to obtain at cost same day tickets.

We found out there was a national holiday in Rome that day and the coliseum entry was free. Tried to contact tour operator who did not answer. The day of the tour we could not make it to the coliseum due to road closures For a parade. Tried again to contact the tour operator. NO ANSWER again. Repeatedly tried to contact that we could not get to the coliseum. NO ANSWER!!! Missed the tour. Still no answer! I’m so upset. I’ll probably never be in Rome agiain and I was looking forward to this tour!!

Tour operator wasn’t there so we didn’t get to go on the tour. We called and spoke to someone who was supposed to investigate and we have yet to hear back. Was told 72 hours. Terrible experience, book somewhere else!

A waste of time

We waited more than 2 hours for our tour to start. We bought “ Skip the line” But had to wait in three lines, one to get our ticket, one to show our ticket and the last one for them to scan our ticket before we actually went through security. This tour was a bust!

Unfortunately the local tour company did not show up to facilitate the tour. It was not until we reached out to them directly that we were informed that they did not have the necessary tickets needed to complete the tour. Very disappointing.

Finding the tour group at the beginning was a little chaotic, but after that, the tour was very good. Our guide was very knowledgeable, clearly passionate about the history, and definitely made the visit memorable.

Our tour guide wouldn’t respond to the chat function and then stood us up on the day of our tour. My family missed our one chance to tour the colosseum as a result. Asking for a refund but apparently that is 100% up to the guide. I provided video and photo proof.

Overpriced and overbooked

For $150 per person, this is INSANE. When we go there, our tour company basically lumped us into a larger group of approximately 50 people. Because it was so large, you couldn't ask the guide anything and frankly even though we had ear pieces, it was hard to hear because of the crowds and inability to get near our own guide. Also- they sent an email in the middle of the night the day prior changing the time of tour.

It was a very difficult to understand guide. He was From a foreign country and spoke fluent English but his accent made it impossible to understand much of what he was saying. Extremely disappointing. Also, the coliseum was only 45 minutes tour. Then 15 minutes on your own and another hour at the forum. This was really not clear in the description of the tour. This was not worth the money. And a guide with such a heavy accent is inappropriate and unhelpful.

We booked this tour at the price point listed because it was the only one left. I should have read the description- it does NOT include access to the arena, and you will spend the majority of your colosseum tour walking around the actual arena viewing museum cases of items. I understand not getting to do the ground level/walk IN where gladiators did, but for 250$ that is not a fair price. Not sure why so expensive. In addition, they sent an email at 11;50 am the day of the tour saying to meet TWO HOURS prior to the listed meeting time on the tour description to be able to view the Roman forum (3:30 meet, 5:30 tour start). I didn’t have service and happened to check my email with wifi on a whim and saw in the middle of lunch, which we had to SPRINT out of to get to the meeting point two hours early. This should have been communicated much sooner than the day of the tour and should be listed in the description. The guide would not wait when I called, and then upon showing up after sprinting there at 3:45 just to see if we could try to get in, the group is just standing there! When walking in to the forum, a bag of ours got stuck on the conveyor belt. The tour guide walked ahead with our tickets leaving us there and we had police walking over to see what the issue was- we had to wait for the guide to come back later to let us in. Such a waste of money for us :( I do not feel this was worth the money I paid and would like someone to reach out to me regarding this experience. One positive I will say- our guide was decent when showing us the museum display cases in the surrounding area of the interior colosseum.

Tour company canceled it, we showed up 15 min before and they said, they have to start 25 min early so you guys can not be accommodated now, they refunded the money, however if you book tour in advance so you want to do it. I will not recommend this tour.

No show

Waited 45 minutes didn’t see our guide. We came very early but if you follow the map link to the address given; it sends you to the wrong part of the colosseum. After finding someone who can help us translate, we made it to the right place still on time but no one from the tour company was there. Called 4x between 520-545 pm no answer. They did reply later in the evening and apologized and refunded us but we lost a day. If you’re not here long enough, this is a big disappointment.

This tour was honestly so miz. Our tour guide had nothing interesting to say. He lost half the group and acted like nothing happened. I was very disappointed with how unorganized and crowded our group was. I have done a guided tour of history sites in the past and this did not live up to my expectations. Thanks for your feedback Actually the other part of the group was not in the Tour, they have only Skip the Line Access service so he was passing them the gates to skipping the line, so your group was in normal size. Our guides are certified and they are the best in Rome. Anyway please send us your receipt of payment and let us where you buy our tour and will do our best to make you happy 😊, as it's our aim

Excelente experiencia. Tomamos el tour en inglés con una guía británica. Pese al clima lluvioso, la guía fue muy dinámica y entretenida. Lamentablemente, estábamos cercano al horario de cierre del coliseo y tuvo que terminar muy rápido, pero en general, excelente excursión. La huí muy informada y divertida. 100% recomendado
