I booked a timed entry tour to the colosseum three days in advance. I received the booking confirmation immediately and my card was charged. I never received entry tickets and I was unable to contact the provider, I only received a response 1 hours before the tour time that they were unable to accommodate us and that I will be refunded

As soon as the booking was made, our team tried to contact you consistently to inform you of the issue and to resolve it as early as possible. When we were finally able to reach you closer to the visit date, the requested date and time were no longer available. We immediately informed you, apologized, and processed a full refund, which was issued within a few hours of the booking being made, so that you could arrange an alternative plan. This situation was entirely due to a technical mistake on our system, and we genuinely tried to compensate and correct it to the best of our ability, while keeping communication open in advance. Once again, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding.

We bought tickets for the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and the Roman forum. It’s says skip the line but the line is just as long as any other line. The audio guide was only for the Colosseum and it wasn’t very good. There was no audio guide for Palatine Hill or the Roman Forum. There was no one there to help you or to answer questions. I advise you to do your own research before you go. Maybe download some information on all of these sites or just get a guide

Our team is available 24/7 via call and message, and we did not receive any request for assistance during your visit. Within the same chat, your tickets and all instructions were provided, and we’re always happy to help if contacted. A live guide does offer more detailed stories, but that is a completely different experience. You booked an audio-guided visit, and that is exactly what was delivered across the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, and Roman Forum. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts.

Sorry tour

I would not recommend this tour unless you just want to meander around on your own and try to put things together on your own. The app was horrible. Mostly every stop said no audio so I just stopped trying . No audio no guide. Too much to spend just to walk around on my own.

It stated there would be audio guide and there was not. We were told to instead download a large ap at international data rates. We booked this tour as daughter either wanted a live guide or audio guide.

This is a 3rd party seller selling tickets for X2 the original price. Go to the official Coloseum website & buy the same ticket for $18. The experience itself is amazing! But save yourself the money & stay away from these kinds of sellers!

Short and sweet tour on our own !

This was a ticket only and no tour guide which is what we were looking for . We navigated on our own . I’ve been to the colosseum before so I was the one who navigated for me and my bf . It was nice to see the colloseum again and navigate on our own without waiting into line or waiting for everybody that’ll take 2-3 hours worth of tour! If you want to just go colloseum and Roman forum in less than 2-3 hours I think this is the best option !

Awful experience ! Booked 2 months in advance , 4 days before my trip to Rome the phone calls started from Italy saying my time slot was no longer available, no explanation as to why but I think it just hadn’t been booked . Had picked 9:15 slot so we still had the full day as it was our last day of our trip , to fit everything else in but we went for the change of 12:30 . Two days later we got a phone call to say , that was them just getting round to booking and the slot was no longer available. So unhappy but wanting to do the tour we went for the 2:30 slot . Arrived at the box office on the day to be told our ticket wasn’t valid . 40 mins of trying to get through to your operator on the phone to be told our tour had been cancelled. We then had to go buy tickets again and are still awaiting a refund . Definitely would not recommend this company and would not use them again . Made what should have been a straight forward ; enjoyable experience, very difficult and stressful !!

I was with my family including my two kids, 8 & 11. This experience would have been better with a guide. The colosseum was busy and packed with people and we tried our best navigating the area but it was difficult. We didn’t really skip any lines since everyone had to go through security. I was disappointed to find out Viator charged me 4 euros for my kids when their admission is free.

Great experience, was the best price I found in the net, and in the hour i wanted 8:30am. I was nervous because 2 days before the activity i haven't received the ticket, but I sent an email to the operator and they answered me with the tickets in less than 2 hours.

Vendor messed up

Purchased the tickets and they never sent a barcode to scan in, they just said to meet at the coliseum but never specified where. After calling more than once they finally got ahold of vendor and with next to no WiFi connection the vendor finally saw their mistake and sent tickets very late. Very frustrating experience

We find this review extremely unjust as the confirmation voucher ensures that you check everything prior to your visit. Colosseum self guided tour

There were no signs at the Colosseum to assist with meeting point or pre-sold tickets. It was confusing. That is no fault of Viator, but one of the disadvantages of a self guided tour. We used the Rick Steves app as we made our way through the sites.

Didn’t receive what was promised

Was supposedly upgraded to a two pass, but was denied entry into the forum. We visited the Colosseum on a Saturday, and was told we had until Monday (48 hrs) to visit the forum. We showed up and upon scanning of our tickets, they read invalid. Apparently there is some confusion between the vendor and the colosseum ticket office. So we wasted a Monday morning with this, and our group of 10 were highly disappointed! So I didn’t get what I paid for, and all the vendor offered was a 20% discount on another service through them. No thank you! Why would I give you all any more money? I was also told that “we will be talking to the Colosseum on what happened and will offer a refund”. That hasn’t happened and I doubt it will! So lesson learned, book directly through the official ticket office and not these third party vendors!

The service first didn’t want to rebook very expensive ticket (due to cancelled flight). After we booked again and paid in full for the same experience, the service called and cancelled on us 45 min before the scheduled timing. They blamed third party platform for this and refused to acknowledge their issue. To be avoided.

Estafa Monumental

La reseña es larga, pero detallada de nuestra experiencia y la verdad, me da lástima tener que escribir está reseña acerca de la experiencia; principalmente porque no quiero ni recordarla. Todo comienza con una reserva de una suma de dinero un tanto elevada, la cual pagué para conseguir una serie de entradas para acceder a el Coliseo, Foro Romano y Monte Palatino (Donde aclaraban que poseíamos una serie de privilegios como evitar colas, acceder a zonas "reservadas" en función del billete y más falacias que os contarán). Una vez realizado todo el proceso no nos llegó ningún tipo de información al respecto, ya que se suponía que el día anterior a la cita nos enviarían las entradas. Pues bien, tuvimos que entrar en contacto con la agencia para que nos proporcionara las entradas. En ese aspecto todo estuvo correcto, y les pedimos si podrían llegar vía mail, pero solo nos enviaron una especie de comprobante que debíamos de mostrar en un "punto" para que nos dieran los tickets (Seguimos sin saber a que punto querían que fueramos). Por sorpresa, nos llegó un mensaje de WhatsApp de un ciudadano italiano desconocido, el cual nos enviaba las entradas con nuestros datos; ya empezaba a oler a chamusquina... Decidimos comprobar los tickets, con la sorpresa de que estos tenían un costo de 18€, algo que no cuadraba con lo pagado, (eran 4 tickets) ya que era más del doble que el precio real... Preguntando al contacto nos dijo que las entradas ya estaban compradas con meses de anterioridad, donde la diferencia que se nos cobró era por cambios de nombres y servicios, es decir, una estafa en toda regla. Simplemente nos engañaron y mintieron en la cara como unos bellacos. Espero que os sirva esta reseña para poderos evitar sufrir esta clase de estafa de esta calaña de personas.

Efficace! Nous n'avons pas attendu pour rentrer dans le Colisée. Entrée prévue à 13 heures ! Pour le Forum Romain et le Mont Palatin, ne vous fiez pas à la file d'attente à la sortie du Colisée, moins de 10 minutes, c'est assez fluide!
