I could not make my original reservation, so they offered me this as an option. In 2 hours, I was able to walk around and see many of the ruins. Between the signs and some earlier reading, I got to see some ancient homes, places of the Greek gods and Augustus. The gardens, aqueducts and reconstruction were amazing to see

This your was not offered to us and we are still waiting for a refund. They said the colloseum floor was too crowded and we could not go. Viator is ignoring my requests for a refund.

Horrible experience - the travel provider kept emailing for 2-3 days trying to change our tour time - that we could not since we had another tour at Vatican that morning. Finally confirmed it at the original time, but when we got there told us that the Arena floor tour we had booked was not available and we could only do a standard tour. That being our last day in Rome, there was no option but that is not what we wanted. Also said they would refund part of the charges that evening, haven't seen it yet. Spoiled our otherwise wonderfully planned trip. The tour guide also was edgy and made some inappropriate descriptions while there were kids in the tour group.

Our tour guide, Sylvio, was the best tour guide I’ve ever had. He is not the standard flag bearing, commercialised guide but has over 30 years experience and is a true Roman so the facts he knew about the Colosseum might not necessarily be known by other guides. He was very personable and called the group his family, and this is how you knew which way to go. Just follow the voice! Amazing experience. Photos do not do the Colosseum justice. A must-do thing when in Rome.

Save your money and book the tickets ahead of time through the Colosseum website (€24 to skip the line). Tour was set for an hour but 30 minutes were spent walking over/entering the building. Headset to hear are the guide were staticy.

Received an email 1 hour before our tour was due to begin saying it needed to be rescheduled. Due to being cruise passengers we didn’t have the time to wait for the rescheduled tour. To be fair the company did provide us the option of having tickets or a full refund.
We chose to get our entry tickets to the attraction without the guide but this was disappointing as this is not what we paid for and we would have preferred a partial refund for the tour guide element. We also didn’t get the full access to the coliseum which we would have done with the guide. We would have taken the refund if we didn’t have a 5 year old that was really excited to see inside the coliseum. Probably would have been a good tour if we’d have been able to reschedule, just be wary last minute cancellations may happen.

A lot of money for a one hour entry to colosseum with a little bit of history thrown in. You’re on your own at the Palatine Hill, which one could have just gone on your own.

Great tour! Our tour leader was such an entertaining, sharp and communicative guide. Manuela was knowledgeable, patient and able to bring the past and the present together with confidence and clarity. She was keen to take and answer questions with a great level of knowledge and good humour. Manuela was able to relay her expert knowledge in a way that helped us to understand not just the monument itself, but life in Rome through the ages and to bring it alive in a modern context too. Very enjoyable and we wished it had been for longer. Thank you Manuela.

so this is a company that has guides. the guide herself was great. knowledgeable etc. but the company kinda sucks. they jammed 45 people into this tour, more than half joined late, causing delays and forcing the guide to repeat herself. for the money, it was a really bad deal.

The operators of the tour company were fast, attentive and organized. However, the actual tour guide was poor - he was not particularly knowledgeable, he did not provide detailed commentary, he rushed the tour so that he could be finished, he did not explain key elements of what we could remain to do ourselves such as use our ticket to see the forum, and he was rude to a number of guests.

I loved the fast paced tour. The tour guide was funny & gave us many facts in a short time. After we were able to go on our own. The headphones worked perfectly. The lines were extremely long but with this tour we did not wait at all.

Our train was late, missed the group tour entering the Coliseum. An agent found us, gave us our tickets but gave us no help on how to find our group or give us head sets to hear them. The headsets we rented once we got in were fair at best. I have done the tour before but my friend had not, was not the experience I hoped for.
