Itinerary

Your 10-night Southern Italy tour starts in Rome, where you have free time to explore its famous sights like the Colosseum or visit the Vatican with included hop-on hop-off bus tour passes. Then continue south by coach for 10 exciting days, traveling through the Campania region, the Sorrento Coast, and the island of Sicily.

Throughout your tour, learn about the culture of Southern Italy, where life runs at a slower pace than the bigger cities in the north. Enjoy the spectacular Italian coastline, admire medieval and baroque architecture in small villages, and be wowed by the volcanic ruins of Pompeii, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Four-star accommodation is included for one night in Rome, two nights in Sorrento, two nights in Palermo, one night in Agrigento, one night in Ragusa, and two nights in the Taormina area, plus one night on an overnight ferry to Sicily. Some meals are included, and for the rest, enjoy free time to visit local restaurants on your own to enjoy the fabulous regional cuisine.

During peak season, visiting the Blue Grotto in Capri may involve long lines and limited capacity. If access is not possible, or the weather conditions do not allow it, our guides will suggest alternative attractions to ensure a satisfying and memorable tour (e.g. Faraglioni rocks).
Please note that this itinerary has a very strict schedule and it is not suitable for travellers with mobility issues. For this reason, we do not encourage to book a group tour, rather an FIT package or a private tour (ask our team for a quotation!) to meet the travellers special needs.

This was the trip of a lifetime! The Blue Grotto, Capri, Palermo and many more with an incredible guide! Little did we know when booking this tour that we would fall in love with Sicily. It has a unique character all it’s own and the people were wonderful! I can hardly even put into words the depth of the experience!

Tour overall was excellent, and I would recommend it to others. It would be difficult to view all the included sights without the guided tour. The presence of an overall guide on each leg, supplemented by a local guide was uniformly excellent. I had expected the tour to be together for the 10-day tour, but there were group changes until the Sicily portion. The Sicily portion was a large group and bilingual, which was hard for both clients and the guide. Hotels were good to excellent. Meals also were generally excellent, except for a few in Sicily.
