Wayne was just amazing. Positive attitude with tons of energy all day long. He picked 3 fantastic wineries and we were never rushed. He provided a home made lunch that was really good. His knowledge of Oregon business, history, geography and geology was amazing surpassed only by his knowledge of wine. Highly recommended this tour.

This tour is a wonderful way to experience some great wineries AND get a tour of the valley. Camille and Wayne were wonderful planning our adventure and ensuring that we had a great time. Highly recommend.

Kevin organized a really great day, with 3 quite different wineries and experiences. Very friendly and knowledgeable, and the wine tastings were perfect. Lunch is basic but very tasty and really all you want on a wine-focused day. Definitely would recommend.

Wonderful. Visited 3 wineries and our guide, Camille, was great. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Lunch was great. Nice and very enjoyable day.

Wonderful, had a very awesome experience. Our contact person Wayne went the extra mile to accommodate us.

Three wineries along a tour of the Willamette Valley. Our guide was friendly and very knowledgeable about wine in general and the Oregon Wine scene. The wineries each offered a unique experience in atmospere and wines offered. Our guide was able to adapt the tour to our level of knowledge of wine (beginners in our case.)

Wayne was a wonderful guide and host. Very knowledgeable about the wines and the region. He provided us with a delicious lunch. We never felt rushed and truly enjoyed our day.
Denise_C, Oct 2025
This tour was perfect. Robert, our tour guide, was outstanding. He shared such great info while we were driving. The wineries he selected were wonderful. Such a great time, plus the lunch provided was very fresh and plentiful.
Scott_W, Oct 2025
Kevin was very informative and kind! He was a safe driver and was always punctual. The three wine tastings were relaxing and educational.
George_A, Sep 2025
Our guide Kevin was very pleasant we visited 3 wineries: two served very good Pinot noirs as williamette valley is known for, the mother one was a nice building where we ate a nice box lunch- but the wines were not great.
They had a sparkling wine which was fine but had a small amount of rum in it
Then they served a mixture of white wines with 2% Pinot noir for color they called Rose followed by a chenin blanc which was Not crisp like a chenin blanc should be followed by mediocre Pinot and finally a pretty good Cabernet Sauvignon with grapes from Washington!! They did offer us an additional Pinot which was good. But tasting fee for this was $40. Per person !

Learning about Willamette Valley with Agreatoregonwinetour owner Camille. I enjoyed how the tour is flexible on the wineries you visit based on Camille getting to know you on the drive over.
We learned all about the wines and the history of the vintners that own and operate.
I liked how you could choose which tasting option you wanted at the wineries. It really helped with the customized experience. Camille was bubbly and made learning about what you are drinking fun and interesting. She is also a fantastic driver.

Wayne is extremely knowledgeable about the wine and the region and witty. We had a great time! Important to know wine tasting fees are not included in the price of the tour.
Maureen_C, Aug 2025
Excellent knowledge about the area as we were driving the route, fun historic facts, safe and snacks/waters to enjoy.
Doreen_W, Aug 2025
Friendly service, mostly wine tasting tour of three different wineries. No wine making demonstrations or tour of wine making facilities. Information about paying separately for the wine tasting should be included in the booking.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Hi Doreen, Man, I thought you guys were really enjoying the tour and the company. Winery turs typically happen when there is activity in the winery, something to see and observe. Harvest is late September so that's typically when the wineries are hosting winery tours. And I am very sorry about the confusion over tasting fees. that is clearly noted in the description of the tour itself and then 2 titled paragraphs
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE TOUR...
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED IN TEH TOUR.
We never want to mislead our guests about any aspects of the tour. It doesn't go well for us or our guests.
However, I did enjoy meeting and spending the day with you and your husband.
Enjoy the rest of your summer
Eric_B, Aug 2025
Ultimately it depends on which wineries are visited and I would recommend that you review the specific AVA and ask if a particular winery can be on the agenda
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Hey Eric,
You are correct in one sense that any tour depends in where the guide takes their guests. Not at all trying to be mind readers but unless you ask or tell us a winery you would like to visit we have no way of knowing. Communication is a strong suit of ours. Wayne called and or texted you when you booked and just before the day of the tour confirming pick up details. at any time you could reached out asking about the AVA's we would visit and what wineries were on the itinerary. there are 10 sub AVA's just in the NOrthern Willamette Valley and over 700 wineries. all you had to do was let us know if there was a winery or region you were hoping to visit and we would have seen what we could do to make that happen.
OR.. you could have booked a private tour and hand selected the wineries and AVA's.
I hope you enjoyed at least part of the tour.

Great tour. Very knowledgeable guide (about a lot of things!) and comfortable experience! Would recommend!
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Hi Shawn,
Thank you for the review. Ya, what a fun tour and a fun group. Glad you enjoyed your time with me out in the place I get to Live, work, and Play.

We had a very rocky start to our Willamette Wine Tour due to VIATOR. But the tour company- A Great Oregon Wine Tour - went above & beyond to make it right. Turns out, VIATOR never forwarded our reservation information to the tour operator! It was approx. 15 minutes after scheduled pick up time when we were able to connect with them. The owner of the company (on her own time) headed our way & we ended up with a fantastic tour of 3 Willamette Winery’s-NONE of them disappointed us! I highly suggest that you book DIRECTLY with vendors. If you opt to go with Viator, then follow up with someone from the company directly. We had several (as of 1 hour before our tour) SIX communications in all from Viator about our tour. There was no reason to think we would not be picked up. WHO KNEW we needed to hear directly from the actual tour provider-there was never anything that was communicated over the 2 months we had the reservation that we would or should hear anything from them. So if you’re coming to Oregon for a Willamette Wine Trail tour, reach out to A great Oregon Wine Tour. They are knowledgeable, have a slew of connections & really know how to plan a spectacular wine tour! Ask for Camille or Wayne & tell them Teresa & Tom sent you!

Oh my gosh,
Thank you so much for this great and open review.
I had such a fun day with you two. I got to build a custom tour for you as the day progressed based on your comments and requests. And, I'm still jealous of the wine journey you're on right now, Willamette valley, Southern Oregon and then The Napa Valley. I know your adventure soula and wine glass will be full. "all puns intended". Thank you so much for encouraging travelers to look us up and book directly. Very much appreciated.
Safe travels and something tells me we will meet again some day.

Thank you for taking the time to send us this review. Ya, Tim is pretty great and truly enjoys hosting his guests and helping them really understand what The Northern Willamette Valley is all about. Glad you enjoyed your tour.

A variety of wineries are scheduled so you may not have the same experience as someone on another day. Our wineries were small operations and each one was unique in how they hosted the tour.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thanks for leaving this review, short and sweet and very much appreciated.
We put a lot of thought into the tours, the views, the wineries and of course the wines and it's always to hear from our guests that it paid off.

A wonderful full day experience with an exceptional guide getting to know the area and tasting some little-known wines! We were paired with 4 "strangers" who were delightful and great to compare tasting notes!
Response from Host, Jul 2025
Thank you for such a nice review. It always amazes us how we can put strangers together on our tours and by the end of the day you all become one great group of people. So glad you enjoyed the tour, the company and our selection of wineries for you to visit.
Enjoy the rest of your summer.

Excellent peek into local wineries. Wayne was an amazing tour guide and this trip was perfect for a small group of wine lovers. We had such an incredible time and made new friends along the way. We will definitely book with Wayne again next time we come out. Also, his lunch box was delicious!

The tour was a perfect way to spend the day. Wayne was our guide for the day, and arrived exactly on time to pick us up. He was very enthusiastic and engaging with the small group.
The three wineries he took us too were amazing, with great wines. It was great to spend a bit of time sitting and enjoying the views in the great weather we had on the day. Along the way we also stopped at a couple of other small locations which were also great.
The included lunch was also great, and was perfect for the day.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Hey Thomas,
I don't know how I missed this review, we always want to respond right away so I apologize for the delayed reply.
This is a really good review though, thank you for covering so many aspects of your tors from pick up to drop off. Oh, and I prepare the lunches, glad you liked it enough to mention it in this review.
I would like to go on a tour like the one you were on. :-)

This was our first trip out to Portland. We knew we wanted to do a wine tour in the Willamette Valley, but we had not a clue as to where to begin. Our guide Wayne was super! He knows well the valley vineyards (and they know him too!). Took us to wonderful wineries that we otherwise would not have known to stop at. And the picnic lunch he and his wife make was great! For anyone new to the area, this was an excellent trip! Wayne is great fun, and showed us a super time. Highly recommended!

Our tour guide Teri was so knowledgeable about Portland, Willamette Valley and the wineries. We loved all of the wineries that we visited and bought several bottles to take home. The lunch that was included was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed spending the day with Teri
