Stroll through the hilltop park, admiring the Rose Gardens' 7,000 varieties of roses. You'll also pass by the splendid scenery at the Japanese Gardens, the Hoyt Arboretum, the Oregon Zoo, and the World Forestry Center, though you will not be stopping.

Then check out the city's NW neighborhoods — including Chinatown and the Pearl District — for the final leg of your tour, passing the famed Powell's Books. You will also visit the famous Lan Su Chinese Garden, before returning to Director Park for drop-off, or request a stop in the restaurant district on NW 23rd, just in time for lunch or happy hour!

Nice overview of Portland...

Rayme_R, Apr 2026
Nice overview of Portland and its neighborhoods. My only suggestion would be to provide a cheap map so customers can get oriented as we drive through those neighborhoods.

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Hi Rayme, Thank you for your feedback and suggestion. We actually do have Portland City Maps to take with you on board all of our vans and tours, apologies if your guide did not make mention of them during your tour.

Trip good Guide not so much

Sharon_S, Mar 2020
City tour was good but our guide was very opinionated about California bringing up real estate prices and that this was a “temporary “ gig till he could find another job. He got mad when my daughter had to use the restroom and said. Oh I know how this trip is going to go. So unnecessary.

Response from Host, Mar 2020

Thank you for reaching out and voicing your concerns and feedback. We pride ourselves in the training, knowledge, and outstanding customer service of every single one of our guides and employees. We will absolutely follow up with your guide, as this is not up to our standards. Please feel free to reach out to our office directly to chat, as we would love to hear from you. Additionally, if you and your daughter ever find yourselves back in the Portland area, we would love to have a second chance and have you on another tour.

Wonderful tour

Our tour guide, Jesse, had a love for Portland and it showed. He not only took us around town but went into the history and details of the characters of the city. We liked how we were given plenty of time at each stop.

This was a great tour of Portland. Our driver was extremely knowledgeable and informative about Portland and the surrounding area. It was a very diverse type of tour. I would certainly recommend this tour to anyone going to Portland.

Great tour

We enjoyed the tour immensely. The van was immaculate and guide knowledgeable and spoke from personal knowledge, not a canned speech.

City Tour

Lynne_L, Sep 2019
Very well organized and run. Pleasant tour guide. Captured all of the important points of the City. Liked the idea of a small group rather than a large City bus.

Amazing!

Shirley_M, Sep 2019
We had Aaron for our tour guy and he was awesome. Very easy to understand, interacted with our group of 9 ladies. Stops we made were all beautiful, 3/4 had restrooms you could use and 3 of them had a little gift shop as well. Would for sure recommend.

Excellent introduction to Portland

A morning drive around Portland's neighborhoods and visits to the rose garden and the Chinese gardens. Informative, broader perspective that can't be obtained on walking tours.

We enjoyed everything about this tour - the aerial tram, the Hoyt Arboretum and the Lan Su Chinese Garden. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather. I wish the roses had been in bloom, but the Arboretum was a nice alternative. We recommend this tour.

Skyler, our driver/owner, gave us a wonderful, informative tour of the city pointing out all the highlights. Bathroom breaks were frequently offered as were nuts, apples, bananas, water and juice. No matter the topic, Skyler was well versed in the cities offerings and issues. We were driven in a comfortable Mercedes van and picked up and dropped off at our hotel. Skyler even gave us his number is we wished to call with questions about touring on our own. Highly recommended.

Matt, our driver, was very informative and personable. We enjoyed the small group tour, perfect number of stops. A fine introduction to your first Portland experience. Provided us with lots of ideas for our next few days. Well done and thank you! T and L from Canada

Comfortable riding, great weather...

Margaret R J, Sep 2015
Comfortable riding, great weather, great driver and informer of where we were and what we were seeing. The only unfortunate part was we were not able to tour the Pittock Mansion, which I had seen before but my friend from out of town had not. It is my opinion that whatever extra charge there would have been for that would have been worth it.

Same review as for the Columbia Gorge tour. Comfortable and interesting. Great host! We loved it.
