our tour seemed to turn into a mini personal tour since our family was the only ones in the van. We saw so much and enjoyed everything we say and heard about the city and how things worked and the history of the city. our Drive had so much knowledge and we did not miss a thing

Brittany was friendly and concerned about each guest. Knowledgeable about local history and culture. Sites visited were good. Narrative seemed choppy and spontaneous, I prefer a bit more planning and thoughtful explanation to what we are or will be seeing.

A thorough trip around the various neighborhoods of the city by a very knowledgeable guide, Markus. It was scheduled for two hours but it went almost three and on top of it he dropped us off at hotel rather than back at the starting point. A very pleasant and enjoyable introduction to Portland.

I offered you both another city tour and a Mt Hood loop tour on days that you were visiting, but you chose to stick with the Mt Hood tour you were already booked on, even though you could have canceled that without a penalty. The alternative was there, you just didn't take it.

Marcus was very knowledgeable about the area. Enjoyed the time at the Rose test garden, drive through the arboretum and grounds of the Pittock grounds with its astounding g view of the city of Portland.

I booked this more than a month, paid, received a confirmation regarding the trip. I received the waiver a day before the trip to fill out before the trip. On the day of the trip no one showed up, I wasn’t even notified. I called and no one knows what happen and hust offered me a refund which would take up to 7 business days. Our plan for the was day ruined - 6/29/24.

I'm sorry Angeli. As I communicated with you directly, the guide who was assigned to your tour pulled a "no-show", and I was guiding another tour out of cell phone service, which is why I was unaware of what was happening. There is a guide shortage in Portland right now, so it is difficult to find good guides. I hope you found alternative things to do in Portland during those 3 hours. Unfortunately, Viator is slow to process refunds.

Marcus is very knowledgeable about Portland and its history which made the tour very interesting and provided a great overview of the City. The only thing that would have made it better would be to have more stops where we could get out to take pictures. Currently the only 2 stops are at the International Rose Test Garden and the Pittock Mansion. I would have liked pictures of things we saw along the way such as the entrance to Chinatown, a couple of the churches and the building with the round barrel planters attached to it. However, stopping would have also extended the tour time so I guess we’ll have to go back to the interesting areas on our own.

Hi Maureen. We are happy to make picture stops when people make a request. The number of places we could stop is virtually infinite, so we don't know what is drawing a particular guest, unless they speak up. That's why I always make a point, about 20 minutes before the end of the tour, of asking guests if there was anything they were expecting, but didn't get. If nobody speaks up, I assume expectations were met.

Washington Park, including Pittock Mansion and the Rose Garden were memorable stops. Our tour guide, Sylvie was friendly, knowledgeable, and timely. Her suggestions for extra and post tour stops were excellent!

It was nice that we didn’t have to drive and learned a lot about the city of Portland. Cher was VERY knowledgeable and knew so much. I think it was a lot of information & wasn’t an “entertaining” tour if looking for that.

Great tour. It was nice to see the highlights of Portland via a car. Livvie was great - very knowledgeable and helpful. The stops at Pittock mansion and the rose garden were just the right amount of time (fyi, you do not get to go inside the mansion). It rained, unexpectedly, and Livvie was nice enough to drop us off at our hotel since we didn't have an umbrella.

The rose gardens were awesome and got to see the new prime minister of the Rosarians inducted. Brittany, our guide, was awesome. She knew the city very well and could answer all questions. I liked the smaller feel of the group as well.

Even though the tour was as described, it was boring for the most part. It got very confusing skipping districts back and forth and I really didn't need to see every detail of each building and house.

The half-day tour gave me exactly what I needed—a sense of knowing Portland and it’s roots. Cher, our guide, was knowledable about history, architecture, preservation, and is current with Portland city intentions today. The views from the city from Mansion were spectacular. We crossed and learned the history of several bridges and drove around the winding streets of neighborhoods like goose hollow and the pearl district. I enjoyed learning about some of the people whose passions for Portland contributed to developing it as a city. Highly recommend this tour to get both a big picture and granular feel for the city.
