Portland’s Eclectic Bridge Tour a Must

    Timothy_S, Sep 2025
Captain Steve and The Wilamett River Cruise was a nice change of pace, serene, informative, with an emphasis on the history of Portland and its eclectic bridges. I commend those that take this Viator experience because they have both good fortune and good luck on their sides, a rare treat in today’s haphazard world.

Very nice excursion. Captain Nate was great. The weather was chilly but he had heated seat blankets ready.

This tour was a blast! We had such a fun time with Captain Nate. He was very knowledgeable and hilarious. We took this trip because our son loves bridges and Nate made him feel really special.

Great tour - Captain Charlie shared both recent/current stories and history of the bridges and surrounding areas. We enjoyed learning the nuances. My uncle and aunt learned new things about the area they have lived for the past 20 years. We highly recommend the tour.

Long Day on the Willamette River?

    Lauren_O, Sep 2024
We were the last tour to go out on Sunday of Labor Day weekend. The Captain did a good job of giving us factual information about all of the bridges. It was a nice day. That said, there were only 4 of us on the tour and the Captain didn't try to engage us at all. No chatting, didn't ask our names, no joking. Just factual information. Perhaps he was pissed off at me or tired. He TEXTED me after 3 pm asking if we could come at 5:45 instead of 5 pm because the 1 pm & 3 pm tours ran late. My TEXT response was...do we really have a choice? To which he replied that we could have a shorter tour with a partial refund or cancel for a full refund. I chose not to cancel because it was our son's birthday. So we ended up finishing the tour at dusk and going to dinner at 8 pm afterwards. And...btw, no apology for running 45 minutes late. We were not impolite or rude and we still tipped.

    Response from Host, Sep 2024

Thank you for the review. We did have a long day on Labor day. 100% sold out from 7 am to 7 pm. We did our very best to accommodate all of our guests. Our boat is a private tour and we do not mix private groups. Our Captains try to read expectations of the group and to not be the focus of the experience. Thank you or being flexible with your start time.
