This was such a great experience. It was fun to see the history and all of the beautiful areas of “Philly”! The crew putting it all together were so friendly and real cool. I even got lost and they had a person come help pick us up to take us to the stop we needed. Amazing crew, trip, and Philly experience. Thanks all!

It was a great experience, tour guide was Jeanine (sp.?) and driver was Anthony, both were excellent. Traveling with two kids, one 6 and one 16, both enjoyed as did the parents. Highly recommend!

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Operating Schedule: Beginning at the Bourse Building right across from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, plug into our multi-lingual headphone audio to discover the origins of America, since Philadelphia is where America’s Founding Fathers first declared independence from England, and then ratified the US Constitution and Bill of Rights to start the new nation. Along the way, enjoy stunning views of such historic landmarks including the Christ Church Burial Grounds, Elfreth’s Alley, the Betsy Ross House, and Independence Hall, to name just a few. As you head west, see the Friendship Gate in Chinatown, be amazed by the architecture of Philadelphia’s City Hall, and be sure to explore the various museums along Benjamin Franklin Parkway, including the Barnes Foundation – known as the world’s largest collection of post-impressionistic art in the world. As you continue your journey, marvel at Philadelphia’s growing skyline and get a bird’s-eye view from atop the One Liberty Observation Deck. Your loop finishes up after touring through the charming neighborhood of Society Hill and a drive along the banks of the Delaware River.

Awesome tour

Brian_L, Sep 2026
This tour is a great way to see the historic sites and many other places in Philadelphia. I saw other reviews where people had to wait a long time for the next bus and the staff didn’t explain stuff to them. I didn’t have a single problem. I waited about 15 minutes for the next bus if I got off at a stop. Absolutely great tour!!

Very informative hosts on these rides. Convenient to be able to hop on and off at many great attractions around the city. Great way to see a lot of cool things in a short amount of time.

Fun and informative. All of the main sights were close walking to the stops and the team was so friendly.

A good way to see Philadelphia's highlights

David_B, Sep 2026
Knowledgable guide on board with excellent English. It was a very hot day so an awning would have been of great benefit.

Disappointing experience

Alissa_B, Sep 2026
⭐️⭐️ Very Disappointing Experience My cousins were visiting from Italy, and with only one afternoon in Philadelphia, I thought the double-decker bus would be a great way to see the major sights with our young children. We were specifically told buses would arrive at the major stops every 30 minutes. We got off at the Rocky Steps for about 15–20 minutes and then waited for the next bus. We ended up waiting nearly 90 minutes in the heat with several young, cranky kids. After about 40 minutes, I called and was told a bus would arrive in two minutes—it never came. When I called again, I was told we “should have gotten on the trolley,” even though no one had ever explained that a trolley was part of the service we purchased or that we should be looking for one instead of the advertised double-decker buses. The entire point of booking this tour was to make sightseeing easier with children and limited time. Instead, we wasted a significant portion of our only afternoon in Philadelphia standing at a bus stop. Extremely poor communication and an incredibly frustrating experience.

It was fantastic to get the layout of the city and the guides were great. I highly recommend it. The top deck offers a great view

Awesome experience with hop on hop off city sightseeing bus

MohamadNoor_b, Sep 2026
I personlly feel its a worth while experience especially with 1st timer traveller. I have been walking to some part of the places of interest and it is so tiring and time consuming. So my daughter suggested why not opt for this bus. Such a wise decision and I love to be on this bus with so much flexibility either to hop off or stay in the bus for the 26 places. Would recommend to others

Flexible, fun tour

Kristen_F, Aug 2026
Despite a road race cutting out some of the tour route, our guide, Harris, and driver made the tour feel complete. Harris provided a lot of historical insight and fun anecdotes. Flexible and fun way to see the city!

Fun!

Crew very knowledgeable regarding architecture and history of the city. Sitting up on 2nd level gave the best views for pictures.

Awesome information from Mike.

Regina_P, Aug 2026
We got on at the best time at 10:00 so it wasn't too crowded and the temperature was just right. We had to wait 20 minutes for the bus to come back at one of the stops. Find out what other bus you can ride before you get off.

Great way to see the sites.

Alice_B, Aug 2026
Best way to see the historical sites of Philadelphia when time is limited. The bus is easy to use and makes traveling through the city easy.

Disappointed

Warren_W, Aug 2026
On a 1 day pass, you need to start early. There are 2 double decker bus companies, but you can ride either. The guide is key. We could not understand ours. Talked to fast and did not speak distinctly. By the end of the day she was worn out.

Hop on!

Go early in the day it is cooler and less congested. Our driver was great and our guide was delightful.

Great experience

Nicole_S, Aug 2026
was a great way to see many of the city’s highlights in a short amount of time. It gave us a wonderful overview of Philadelphia and made it easy to decide which areas we wanted to explore further. One suggestion would be to incorporate a little more humor or comedy into the commentary along the way. I think that would make the experience even more entertaining and memorable. I also wanted to mention an interaction that left me a little uncomfortable. As I was getting off the bus, one of the workers approached me about tipping and yelled, “Hey lady” to get my attention. His tone came across as rude and made me feel pressured about tipping. I completely understand that tips are appreciated, but I think there is a more professional and respectful way to communicate that to guests.

Excellent tour

Great Way to See Philly in a Day

Catherine_S, Aug 2026
My family and I make a point of taking a Hop On Hop Off bus tour in every new city we travel to. This was our first time in Philadelphia and I hopped on the bus. It was a beautiful day to see the city and William was an excellent tour guide. He was personable, knowledgeable and happy to engage with me in all the questions I asked. Worth every penny!

The best tour ever

Cynthia_M, Aug 2026
Ask if i get off how and where do i get back on. I wanted to get off at museum but wasnt sure id get another bus

Booked 2 day experience. ...

Geigy_B, Aug 2026
Booked 2 day experience. first day we used it to go the whole route and get acquainted with the city. Second day we went back to 3 places. The wait for the next bus was too long. We waited over a half hr. before the next bus came. Also, we found out later we could have used the other bus company which we were never told about since that bus came more frequently. Since it’s advertised as hop on and hop off, the frequency should be a bus that comes every 15-20 mins. We ended up using uber more and with three people, it was more convenient to use uber. Did not feel like I got my money’s worth for a two day pass.
