I had a very nice experience on this Oahu tour—The itinerary was thoughtfully planned, giving us the perfect mix of scenic beauty, cultural insight, and time to relax and take it all in.
Each stop was memorable. Our guide, Rocky, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about sharing the history and spirit of the island. He made the experience feel personal rather than rushed, and I learned so much along the way.
Transportation was comfortable. I just wish we had more time at some of the stops.
If you’re visiting Oahu and want a well-rounded introduction to the island, take this tour to complement other tours.
It was a great way to see the whole island.

I booked this trip but, without notification or explanation, was put in a different tour. The one I ended up on didn’t stop everywhere I wanted to and was cheaper. Plus, the provider has not replied to my messages since I got back. I feel like it was a bait and switch.

Tim, the guide was very informative and fun. Scenic views were tremendous! Maybe a few too many stops at “tourist traps”, but good timing and very little crowds.

While we saw a few things around the island, most stops on the tour were not made. No stops at the following itinerary stops--Diamond Head, Hanauma Bay Preserve, Makapu'U Point (no mention at all), Tropical Farms Macadamia Nut (no mention at all), Kuala Regional Park, Hakilau Market, North shore stops, and King statue (no mention). So I believe we made 4 out of 12 scheduled stops. We were 30 minutes late leaving and then had to make another stop because people were on the wrong tour due to mixup with company. Picture opportunities were very limited. I would not recommend spending this much money on such a skimpy tour. Tour time was probably closer to 5-6 hours than 9 hours. We could have hired a driver on our own.

Our apologies for your experience. Hawaiitours.com was recently purchased on 12/18/2025 by E.S. Holdings. The new owners aim to make sure our drivers are delivering the tours as advertised. Please give me your driver's name and your date of tour so that we can make sure that does not happen again.
If you signed up for a 9 hour tour, then that is what you should get. We were not the owners at that point but we have retained some of the drivers from Hawaii Tours LLC (the former owners) and want to make sure they are up to our standards.

a local that shared a lot of info. Very detailed tour and got to see a lot of Oahu.
Our tour was also nice because only 4 of us on the bus. Made it very personal and spacious.

The experience was quite negative. Pearl Harbor Tour and the tour guide were extremely unprofessional.
The evening before the tour, several guests, including me, received two texts of two different pickup locations. Another guest and I both replied to ask for confirmation but there's no response at all. I followed up the next morning at the pickup hotel via text, and finally got a call from Kenny, the tour guide.
The first half of the morning was fine, until later on the bus, Kenny asked if anyone needed to be back in Waikiki at a certain time. Two couples mentioned that they'd have to be back by 3:30pm and 4pm for luau pickup, which perplexed the entire bus of guests because the scheduled return was around 5pm. I privately asked Kenny if we'd skip parts of the tour and he said no and that he'd just go to any off-the-beaten-path destinations that tour guides sometimes make. Nonetheless, that's not the case. We were not given enough time at various stops in the rest of the day. And there's absolutely no stopping in North Shore. It's just a drive-through, while the itinerary lists several stops in that region.
When arriving at Dole Plantation, Kenny said there's only 15 minutes allotted when the itinerary states 30 minutes. Another couple was not happy about the shortened time, but Kenny said he usually gave 20 minutes at this attraction. The couple walked off the bus but that agitated Kenny, and he chased them for an argument. The couple kept walking, and I heard clearly that Kenny said: "Don't you disrespect me like that. I will just leave you here." Later when we arrived at the second hotel drop-off point, I noticed a $20 bill in the trash and told Kenny. He said not to pick it up. I suspect that's the tip that the couple left him.
Lastly, Kenny sped on the highway, endangering the safety of everyone, trying to return to Waikki before 3:30pm.
I, and I am sure along with the other guests, wondered how those two couples booked separate tours that cut into this day tour, when Viator or the official tour company website clearly spell out the end time. How could this tour operator permit this behavior, affecting the rights of the other guests? Why would everyone else need to compromise for four people who could not read the itinerary? And this tour operator furthered enabled the tour guide to cut the trip short. Those four people should've gotten their own transportation back to Waikiki, just like on the cruise ship, if someone missed the pickup time at a port, that person would be responsible for their own transportation back to the ship. Additionally, there's not even a single apology from those four morons nor Kenny.
I already put the tour fee in dispute with my credit card company and informed Viator because this tour operator did not fulfill the service purchased. This company should give a partial refund to every guest on this tour, except for the four people who stupidly booked luau that affected the entire group.

Firstly, let me apologize. Even though we were not in control at that time, we want to assure you that Kenny will not be continuing on with HawaiiTours.com.
No guests should EVER have to sacrifice their tour time for others who did not plan properly. And, you are totally correct, they should have been told prior to boarding that if they wanted to take the tour then they would have to arrange for transportation back to Waikiki, or wherever their luau was being held, so as to not disrupt the tour for the other guests.
And lastly, under no circumstances should ANY driver ever threaten to leave anyone anywhere... unless they are violent or threatening other passengers (and that would ONLY be for the safety of everyone. What you experienced was ridiculous behavior from Kenny. Our apologies and I will personally make sure he is let go.
Thank you for your candid and detailed review. We hope that in the future, if you travel to Hawaii again, you would try our services and see the difference that proper ownership can make. Mahalo and a hui hou!

This tour is a great way to experience the breathtakingly beautiful vistas around the island. LT was the driver, and texted us the morning of the trip to help with pickup location. He was a wealth of information about the island and its history, making the journey both enjoyable and enlightening. Several nice stops allowed time to purchase refreshments and shop a little at the Macadamia Nut Farm, Dole Plantation, and lunch at the expansive food truck location.
We're only on Oahu three days, and this tour enabled an overview of the picturesque island.

Our tour guide Tim, was the BEST! He knew everything about Hawaii history and culture. He was so so nice and attentive and accommodating to our group and had such a great personality and sense of humor. This is a fantastic tour, a highlight of my first trip to Hawaii. I highly recommend taking this tour and if you get Tim as a tour guide, you're very lucky.

This tour covered spots across the island. Our tour guide Sam narrated history and how it helped shape hawaii to its prsent. He was patient and gave us enough time to see each spot. It was worth the money.

Cousin Boyd was a fantastic tour guide. We saw many major sights. If I could make the tour better I would shorten stops at Dole and eliminate or cut very short stop at macadamia outlet. I wish we had stopped for pictures at some of the beautiful beaches on the east side and north shore. Also to pass palace and King statue. Other than that Cousin Boyd was fantastic!

The tour was as described and the tour guide kai did a good job. We stopped at all view points as listed. I only gave 4 of 5 stars as a)almost 3 hours we spend at commercial attractions: makadamia shop, japanese Tempel, food truck place for lunch and dole ananas Shop. I would suggest to exchange the dole shop by a 45 min stop at the turtle coast and b) the organiser of the tour was impossible to reach prior to the tour via email and the meeting point was sent out very last minute the evening before. Small changes can make the tour a 5star adventure. Nonetheless the excursion can be recommended.

I bought this tour because it was offered in Spanish, when they came to pick me up at the airport, no one spoke spanish, I refused to take a tour where I was not going to understand anything, I got $50 refund after i paid over $388 for both of us.
I lost a whole day in Hawaii becuase of this tour, they just dont care about people or well being

Lyman was a fantastic guide. The history of Oahu was enriched with his knowledge, humor and personal stories. No question went unanswered. This is definitely the tour to take for a great overview of the island. Small group tours is the way to go since it gives flexibility with the stops and a streamlined experience.

Anson was a wonderful tour guide and we loved the small group feel. He did a great job customizing our day since we had such a small group. He got us to the Dole Plantation for opening so we could be first to rang the tour. He also showed us a more deserted beach to take our lunch to. While we did not stop at every place advertised he checked our preferences and really personalized it for our group. It was a truly wonderful day!

Sam the tour guide/driver is great! Friendly, knowledgeable and fun! He drove us around the island, stopped many places to take pictures and sample local foods! The tour itself is 5 stars but the office is not so great! I sent email 2 times about meeting and time to pick up, no response! I called and left the message a day before the tour, no response! I have booked tours thru viator.com for many many years and had a good communication with them. This company is not so good! That's why I give 4 stars.

We enjoyed our Circle the Island Tour . Our Tour Guide Harold was on time to pick us up at the Hotel. In fact he was early . We like that . Harold was pleasant , patient and cordial. He was very informative about the areas we visited. We learned more about the areas and it’s history. My husband and I were comfortable just having us in the tour with no other people around in the tour. It was a great experience. We highly recommend it!

We didnt really know what to expect and were happily surprised it was just the two of us and our guide, Harold. He was extremely personable, and very knowledgeable about our route of travel and the history behind the area. He answered all our questions and allowed us to take as much time as we wanted at the many stops we made. We never felt rushed, and it was a very relaxing and enjoyable day, mainly thanks to Harold.
