Excellent tour. Great overview of the collection. Our guide was very knowledgable and even offered to take photos. The group size was perfect - 10 people, so it was easy to ask questions. And 2 hours was just the right amount of time. Very pleasant experience.

Interesting experience

We had an interesting guide who showed the most important parts of the museum. And if we wanted we could have stayed at the museum for a longer time by ourselves.

Don’t waste your money on the tour - overpaid with no perks!

Skip the tour and browsw the MET on your own. It is a fraction of the price & there were no perks as falsely advertised. You will wait to get in the MET and for all attractions just like the $30 ticket. Our 2 hour tour started 30 mins late because of late comers. Therefore we basically had to run through the museum making up for lost time. Do yourself a favor & keep the extra $70 a ticket - there is no benefit!!

The Met in winter - Leo the best guide!

Ask for Leo as a tour guide. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and made sure everyone saw things important to them. Definitely go early. A lot to see. If traveling in winter, coat check a must.

Our guide was not as knowledgeable as we would have liked. Frequently had to read the signs to give you info at which I could have done and saved 100. Everyone in group was disappointed. No real insight to the art pieces. Heard other guides from other tours give so much more info. Cindy was our guide

My sister and I, who always like to visit a museum or two in the cities we visit, really enjoyed this tour with Leo. The museum is huge so with that in mind we decided a tour of some of the highlights would be a great introduction to The Met. Leo was very friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the artworks he took us to see. We would definitely recommend this tour and would definitely come back to visit The Met if lucky enough to visit New York again.

Excellent Metropolitan Highlights Tour

Since the Met is the fourth largest museum in the world it can be quite overwhelming. This Highlights Tour was absolutely brilliant since it gave us a good idea of what the Met is all about and we got to see some stunning pieces. Our guide, Richard, was polite, friendly and had excellent knowledge about the exhibits he showed us and together we went on a journey through time from ancient Egypt to ancient Greece to the Renaissance to Art Noveau, Impressionism and modern masterpieces. We highly recommend this tour especially if you are a "Met beginner" and/or are pressed for time.

Great highlight tour

Michael was an awesome guide who helped us to quickly see highlights throughout the museum. We learned so much about the building as well as the significance of the many works of art and artists. This tour is a great introduction to the museum.

Not worth it

The instructions asked us to arrive 15 minutes early and we did. And then we stood around for 15 minutes after the scheduled start time listening to the guide advertise to us all of the other tours they offer. The tour also did not provide any meaningful insights intk the exhibits that we could not read or see on our own.
