Best experience ever Kin was super awesome was so impressed and informative. Recommend 10/10. Provided water and explained so much about New Orleans that I had no idea about. Thank you see you again

AMAZING! Entire tour was from the slaves eyes. Total reverence for slavery. Thank you Ms Susan (tour guide).

Kin is a world-class entertainer and host who will make the trip out and back fly by. The guides at the plantation are amazing as well, with a deep education on the history of the area and the lineages that came through Whitney. We were able to hear several stories direct from people that lived on or had family on the plantation- truly a look back into the history and the life of slaves in the south.
A needed history lesson for the fully history of this unique area.

We took the Whitney Plantation tour with transportation included, and a huge part of what made the experience memorable was our guide, Kin. He was incredibly knowledgeable, a safe driver, and full of fascinating information and stories about New Orleans, Louisiana, and the historic properties we visited.
Kin was exceptionally organized and communicated clearly throughout the day regarding pick-up times, drop-offs, and departure schedules from each plantation. Beyond his professionalism, he was genuinely funny and made the group feel welcome by taking the time to learn everyone's name and hear a bit of their story.
He also shared honest recommendations for local food spots, which we greatly appreciated. Kin is a wonderful ambassador for New Orleans and its culture, and we would not hesitate to book another tour with him in the future. Highly recommended!

He is ensuring the right information is being told!

Kindrell gave us a great tour! He is very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject matter and the day was very well planned including the lunch stop! The experience at Whitney plantation helped us to better understand not only the history of enslavement in America but also its’ legacy. I highly recommend this experience as it really focuses on the perspectives of the enslaved people themselves.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review!

Kin was awesome honestly. He pulled up to our hotel, van was spotless, and just made the whole day feel easy. No rushing, good vibes, funny as hell, and knows NOLA inside and out.
Whitney Plantation tour with Kin was a great experience.
Honestly just book Kin and go to Whitney. That’s it.

K’s LUXURY TOUR GUIDE
Kindrell (Kin) was a fantastic driver, knowledgable, interesting facts, with an amazing ability to recall names and faces. He came right to the hotel to get us, communicated well with us prior to arrival, his luxury van/bus was SPOTLESS CLEAN, comfortable, and had an excellent audio system.
Kin did not rush us, gave us plenty of time at stops, and had a great sense of humor. Kin is born/raised NOLA, has fantastic restaurant recommendations. We happened upon Kin by chance; however we’d only book through him for future adventures.
WHITNEY PLANTATION
This must be on your bucket list when coming to NOLA! Presented by descendants of the enslaved who experienced the plantation. Justin was our guide (his grandpa’s great grandparents were slaves at Whitney) is an articulate young man, well versed in the history and presentation.
Powerful, reflective, dark history. How someone could leave there not realizing how wrong slavery is, would be unimaginable. Hard to believe many try to sugarcoat the entire issue, or worse yet cling to ideology or symbolism of the cause.
This was an exceptional experience, the museum quality buildings, grounds, artifacts, history is worth the visit. There are other plantations one may visit but NONE which tell the slave experience.
DEFINITELY CONTACT KIN & TOUR WHITNEY

Kindell was knowledgeable and a wonderful tour guide, telling us about the New Orleans and the surrounding areas. We also had a wonder Tour guide, James Kelly at the Whitney Plantation. It was well worth it.

One of the best tours we had booked and Kin the tour guide was outstanding, we had visited the Whitney Plantation.
He was informative and knowledgeable and kept us laughing throughout the day. I would recommend booking with K's Luxury Transportation and Tours and wouldn't hesitate in booking again.
10/10 Kin

Kindrell was warm, accommodating, passionate, engaging and knowledgeable about the history of his city and its surroundings. I picked this tour operator specifically because he offers a lot of information about the history of New Orleans and the plantations while on the drive. He also takes the time to get to know his clients, which adds a nice sense of comradery to the experience. I recommend his tour wholeheartedly.
We also very much appreciated touring the grounds of the Whitney plantation. It's hard to say you love something like that because of the content of the visit, but it was deeply enlightening. Coming from Haiti, where we led a successful slave revolution (but have been punished for it every day since), it was sad to witness the atrocities of slavery carry on in the plantations around New Orleans for so many more years. I didn't know there had been a slave uprising there too, though it was snuffed out very quickly and quietly. I'm still proud to know that people continued to fight for their right to be free despite generations of slavery that would have made most people to scared to even try.
There are some plantations that might be grander and more in line with the many movies that glorified that era, but the Whitney Plantation showed the reality of the era. It's important to keep in mind that these were working farms. The goal was to make money by every means possible. Slavery was the backbone of that system, and we should know how things functioned.
Thanks again to Kindrell for organizing such a trip. It was an important part of our time in New Orleans.

Kindrell Faulk operates his own business! He shared information about the NOLA area as we drove to the Whitney Plantation. So knowledgeable! He also offered us lots of recommendations for restaurants! We watched for alligators in many places as we drove. The Whitney Plantation visit with a guided tour was very informative as well! We stopped for an optional lunch which was at a different plantation. (Very reasonable sandwich!) Highly recommend this tour. We learned so much!

Kin with King Tours was a terrific tour guide and driver! And the plantation tour was deeply moving and rooted in historical fact. Fantastic experience!

This was an excellent tour - can't recommend highly enough. And our tourguide and driver Kin was fantastic! Full of great information, helpful, and funny! Thanks for a great day!

Kin was an amazing tour guide. My family and myself really got the most out of it. He was knowledgeable, informative, polite, charismatic, and funny! We went to the Whitney Plantation, and passed by/visited several others. The Whitney tour was very informative, you really get in touch with history and can gain an understanding of what life was like on the plantation. Aside from the plantation tour, Kin will give you information about New Orleans while driving up and will help you spot gators if there are any along the way. We learned a lot about New Orleans and the plantations along the Mississippi. He gives great reviews of places to visit in NOLA and you can tell he knows his city extremely well. He makes sure you get the most out of your tour. I am thoroughly happy with my choice in tour to the Whitney, 10/10 recommend. I would not have changed a thing. My in laws could not stop talking about the tour hours later. We went to some of the restaurants he recommended and they were delicious.

Our tour guide was very informative and very entertaining! He made the trip fun. I highly recommend this tour with Kindrell as the tour guide.
Stephany_G, Feb 2026
Our driver Kin, was extremely resourceful in the way that he coordinated our hotel pick ups, along with pointing out certain things as he was driving us to Whitney, and sharing restaurant recommendations.
Whitney Plantation is a unique learning experience that every person must experience. Whitney is the living historical archive of the inhumanity of our American history. Our Whitney tour guide, Dominique was amazing! After Whitney, Kin took us for a quick stop at Oak Alley plantation where we had lunch. Five stars across the board!
Christelle_R, Jan 2026
I truly loved my visit to Whitney Plantation. Unlike many other plantations, this one fully immerses the visitor in the lives of the people who were enslaved, rather than focusing on the slaveholders’ house and lifestyle. The daily life of enslaved people is explained in great detail, as well as the abuses they suffered, and the divisions and hierarchies that existed among them to keep them separated and prevent revolts.
It is a very powerful, educational, and necessary visit that gives a much more honest and human perspective on this history. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to better understand this part of American history.
I would also like to highly recommend our driver, Kindrell, who taught us a lot about the region, its history, culture, and cuisine. He made the journey just as enriching as the visit itself.

This was one of the best tours I have ever gone on in my life! Definitely a highlight. Kin is an amazing and incredibly professional tour guide. He contacted us the day before to arrange the pickup time and spot, and the morning of the tour, he was right on time. The van was spotless and smelled sooo amazing. He knows so much about New Orleans and we learned so much from him. It is also obvious he cares so deeply about the city and Louisiana and providing the best tours possible. Visiting the Whitney Plantation was a deeply impactful experience, and our guide there, Cheryl, delivered the history in the most thoughtful and respectful way. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to explain everything. I can’t recommend this exact tour enough. You’re not getting the most out of your experience and trip to New Orleans if you don’t visit the Whitney Plantation and book Kin to be your guide.

Great tour! Kim went out of his way to show us everything possible along the way and back. Recommended amazing restaurants and where to get the best pralines.
Spyros_P, Jan 2026
Our tourguide/driver, Kindrell as well as our Whitney Plantation tour guide, Susan were both absolutely outstanding and both were incredibly knowledgeable and shared a very widespread wealth of information with us!
Mai_M, Dec 2025
Kin was great, providing interesting information and stories on the way and coming back. The tour at the plantation was good in terms of making one remember the unspeakable wrongs perpetrated and how the legacy or harm lives on today.
IrisL_R, Nov 2025
This tour is one of the BEST tours I’ve ever had. The tour guide is amazing and goes out of his way to make sure you have an excellent experience. I would definitely recommend it.
Tracy_B, Nov 2025
We had Kin, and he was great! The drive to Whitney was filled with all kinds of information (often very funny!), which made the drive go by fast. He gave us information about the preservation of plantations, the history of the area, and made sure we were able to get lunch. He also gave us restaurant recommendations, which we used. We will come back to New Orleans & I will definitely use his tour company again. He went over & beyond!
Cathy_R, Nov 2025
Our transport and tour guide off the plantation, Kindrell, was fantastic. He was engaging, knowledgeable, and very kind. Our tour guide for the plantation, Cheryl, was also great.
The only reason the experience was not 5 stars was because there was an event going on while we were there with music, food, lots of people, etc. and it was pretty distracting at times.
Christopher_D, Oct 2025
Extremely informative and respectful tour. Justin was a superior tour guide. Ongoing impact on current parishes is under appreciated.
Lucy_G, Sep 2025
I went on the Whitney Plantation tour and it was an incredible and moving experience. Our driver Kendrell, made the ride so enjoyable, sharing fascinating information about New Orleans, the Mississippi River, and the plantations along the way. When we arrived, our guide, Justin, gave an outstanding tour. He provided such a deep and powerful education about the lives of the enslaved people, their struggles, and their resilience. Justin’s way of telling the story was heartfelt and unforgettable, reminding us why it’s so important to never forget this history. This tour is something I will carry with me, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting New Orleans.
