Our guide, Vee was very personable and had a strong knowledge of the history of New Orleans and the challenge of taking care of deceased folks in the region. She was very authentic and enthusiastic about burial history and traditions in New Orleans. I enjoyed her respect for the dead and her superstitious side, including knocking before entering cemeteries and walking backward on the way out through gates.

Thorn was a great storyteller and the tour had way more than I expected. Great experience! I chose it to be able to enter a cemetery but we explored many and learned about traditions and how people had to adjust.

Outstanding cemetery tour!

Drew was fantastic. He seemed authentic and genuine, but was still very informative and knowledgeable. We accidently booked this tour instead of a different one and we were not disappointed. Ive already recommended it to others.

Our tour guide Thorn was very knowledgable, and entertaining. The historical information was extensive, I would recommend this tour but wear sunscreen. There were a few places without shade.

New Orleans cemetery's are spooky to begin with, even during the day. Viator made our experience fun and easy.

Uber made us miss it 🤷

Darren_M, Apr 2026
Book an Uber ride hours in advance. If not days. Three drivers could not find our hotel, and we missed the tour.

Fascinating

Robin_H, Apr 2026

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of New Orleans. My family and I had a great time seeing all the different kinds of cemeteries and learning there history. This tour was the one of the best parts of our many adventures in New Orleans. This is a must do.

A great way to learn about the history of the city and how they buried their citizens over the years

Dawn_W, Apr 2026
The cemeteries in New Orleans are fascinating, and I wanted to see them and learn more about them. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, and I really enjoyed seeing and hearing about how and why the cemeteries are the way they are. It was absolutely fascinating. He knew a lot about the history of the city and the history of the diseases over the years. He dispelled a lot of myths about New Orleans cemeteries. We went to about 6 cemeteries that were close together; saw the Hurricane Katrina memorial. I highly recommend this tour.

You will visit four out...

Lenka_Z, Apr 2026
You will visit four out of more than seventy cemeteries in NoLa. The whole tour is dedicated to the way people have been burried in the city since the 17th century. It not about the specific places you visit. The guide is really great. We had fun.

V is the best❤️

Ashlee_J, Apr 2026

New Orleans Experience

Dan_W, Apr 2026
I had alot of fun, and it really opened my eyes. How tradition is so important to the people of New Orleans. All the changes and the birth of Jazz in the south. Even though many years from now New Orleans may no longer exist because of erosion the people can't imagine living anywhere else.

From Reno with love

William_M, Apr 2026
We learned a lot. Expect the unexpected!! Our guide Drew was one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had. As well cemetery info, he went into the history of New Orleans and details of how the city got here. “1803 from sea to shining sea.” Learning about the history and processes that come with a burial in New Orleans was amazing!

Great tour worth the fee and experience

Jeff_F, Mar 2026
Thorn is an excellent tour guide. Very factual and wove New Orleans burial practices with real life facts. His knowledge is next to none and we were even treated to a full fledge 2nd line funeral procession! Cant recommend this tour more! Luv the fact we were able to see the progression of New Orleans burial practices and take in at least three cemetaries and the Katrina memorial! A++

thank you drew!

Drew was a fantastic guide who really connected every bit of the tour to the soul of the city; very educational, no sugar-coating, and lots of fun! It was my friend's first time in New Orleans and I'm thrilled that this tour was part of their first impression.
