Captain Darrin was wonderful, his authentic cajun accent adds character to the ride. The ride was very calm and beautiful. We saw lots of wildlife and the tour was definitely our favorite part of our trip to New Orleans! We would definitely do again!

This was the most peaceful ride down the bayou. Our guide seemed to know the bayou like the back of his hand. He pointed out the bald eagles, the owls, and the alligators. It was quiet, sacred and beautiful.
Kathleen_R, Apr 2026

Sarah_F, Apr 2026
Very fun and saw a lot of gators! Definitely wasn't a history tour and I wish there were more fun facts but we got a great view of the swamps on a nice weather day.

We had a great experience with Captain Jason. Please bring cash for tips or snacks. CashApp/Venmo are also accepted. Captain Jason was full of knowledge and facts really made sure everyone had a chance to see each animal we encountered.
Claire_J, Apr 2026
Saw a decent amount of wildlife. Captain was knowledgeable but a bit checked out. Did not get to pet / hold a baby gator which was disappointing, had been on one years ago where we got to so kids were looking forward to that and were very disappointed.

Captain Jamie was great! He was very realistic about how the rainy/overcast weather may affect our viewing experience. Luckily we still go to see many gators & his stories were very entertaining

Had an un-frog-gettable time on this swamp tour! 🐸 It was truly gator than expected. beautiful scenery, tons of wildlife, and a super fun, knowledgeable guide.
Don’t croc-block yourself from this experience… just book it! 🐊

Incredible tour! Capt. Jason did a great job leading us to a bunch of alligators, and he had a very enjoyable Creole sense of humor!
Anjanette_H, Mar 2026
Only sizable alligator 🐊 was at beginning of tour around dock! All rest on tour was small practically baby alligators.
Tour guide was very thorough but most of scenery was about bald eagles.
Did give info on canals, barges, marshland, swamps and bayous.
Samantha_M, Mar 2026
We saw lots of alligators and wildlife, but the scenery is amazing. Relax and enjoy the beauty of your surroundings! Our tour guide at dock 5 (forgot his name) was knowledgeable and friendly. This is a must-do experience.
Stacy_B, Mar 2026
Very pleasant and informative adventure. Guide was great to point out wildlife. The microphone needed to be turned up but all in all it was a great experience
Frank_G, Mar 2026
We had a Great time with Captain Daren, very informative about the land & wildlife, the boat ride was smooth and we saw many gators, turtles and even a bald eagle in the nest.
There was white egrets and great blue heron birds. Marsh & various species of trees.
In general we had a wonderful time, the boat is covered so you are protected from any rain or sun exposure. Pick a morning time for a bit cooler experience, South LA is beautiful and the swamp tour gives you a glimpse into a Cajun’s fisherman’s environment and you’ll see some alligators on the tour.
