The tour was an awesome experience. Darron made the trip entertaining and the time went by fast. He explained everything about the bayou and answered any questions that came up. It was great to see the wildlife in their natural environment.

The guide was very informative. We really enjoyed our family time on the tour.
Wish they were able to feed the alligators.

it was so cool to experience the swamp and see the wildlife in it. Our guide Jason was clearly very knowledgeable and felt VERY comfortable navigating the environment. He was an ace at parallel parking the boat, and also knew the place like the back of his hand. He was telling us about the local alligators like they were truly his neighbors, he could identify them by small markings I could barely catch, and he noted to us their usual habits and territories and interactions. Not only was he a great resource on the gators, he also was pointed out bird nests and calls to us and did his best to help us find them as well. I thought it was a good length of time as well. and while they talked about how they used to do this, they NO LONGER feed the gators marshmallows, which is good!! (though he had very funny stories about it.)

Enjoyable tour and a knowledgeable guide of the area’s wildlife. Saw many alligators and more.
Beneficial to show up at least 5-10 minutes before tour time.

Great tour! Capt. Brent was friendly and knowledgeable. He indulged us by stopping and backing up when we thought we saw something even when he knew nothing was there. Beautiful sights and we saw many gators!

We got to learn more about the water flow in LA and the animals that live in the swamp area. In addition, seeing the animals in their natural environment.

Hello, wildlife and alligator enthusiasts! I finally experienced a swamp and bayou tour. Despite the rain and the dense coverage of the national park, the pontoon boat was fantastic. The captain was highly knowledgeable about the canal waterways, and his local accent was charming and authentic. Within the park, we were limited in what we could do, but he explained the reasons why, and I’m looking forward to holding a wildlife animal in a different tour not a national park visits. During the tour, we saw a variety of wildlife, including alligators 4-6 ft long small , owls perched silently in trees, cranes wading through shallow waters, a bald eagle nesting high on a branch, and water turkeys (also known as anhingas) swimming gracefully. Snacks and beverages were available on board, but we had eaten beforehand. Overall, I found the experience very relaxing and enjoyable. I definitely plan to do it again. Thanks to everyone involved!🫶🐊

This was worth the trip. It was a calm and relaxing tour of the swamp. Interesting sightings. Informative guides.
Robert_C, Jun 2026
Guide was friendly and funny, but it's just driving up and down the water lanes in the swamp hoping to see something.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Thank you for sharing your experience. We're glad to hear you enjoyed your guide's friendly personality and sense of humor.
Because our tours take place in a natural swamp environment, every trip is unique and wildlife sightings vary from day to day and season to season. Guests often see alligators, egrets, turtles, bald eagles (when in season), and a variety of other native wildlife, but as these are wild animals, sightings can never be guaranteed.
We appreciate you joining us and hope you'll visit again for a different experience on the swamp.

We really enjoyed the tour! The boat itself was a good size, not too crowded and equipped with snacks we could purchase during the tour. The gators were a site to see and the guide was entertaining which made the tour a lot of fun.
Misty_R, Jun 2026

Capt Jamie made it fun. He was knowledgeable and identified every creature we spotted. Very serene and beautiful. Totally different from downtown New Orleans.
Donna_L, Jun 2026
I ended up having to deal with support, rescheduling several times because of weather first but then I was unable to work it in - over scheduling for one day because we had a tour that was going to overlap some. The support rescheduled, no issues. The last attempt was for 10am on Saturday and I wanted to try to do it but the more I considered it, the more I knew I would not make it back in time to return my car rental.

The tour guide was funny, informative and educational. The boat was safe and fun, and the wildlife plentiful, photogenic and interactive! Would definitely book again!
Linda_S, Jun 2026
Our tour guide was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and also very funny. It was amazing to me that he could whistle & call the gators and several of them actually responded by approaching the boat!! We saw some beautiful birds and several turtles along with many gators

Harold_M, Jun 2026
We had a really nice time. It was a great little trip into nature including seeing a number of alligators, turtles, and a variety of birds. The guide was entertaining and knowledgeable as to where to look for alligators. He was even able to call one out to meet the boat and swim around us for a while. Well worth the time and money. We highly recommended.
