Such an amazing experience! The crew was friendly, fun, and made everyone feel safe and welcome. We saw sea turtles, tons of colorful fish, and had a fantastic time. Open bar, beautiful boat, and excellent service. One of the highlights of our Maui trip—highly recommend Sea Maui!

What To Expect

Depart directly from Ka'anapali Beach near Whaler’s Village in the morning. You’ll jump right aboard your boat for the short trip out to Mala Wharf, just minutes from the beach, where you’ll be in the water in no time.

As you dive beneath the waves you’ll escape life on a dry land for a few hours, taking the time to discover the unique marine life habitat created by the remnants of the old Mala pier. Explore this colorful underwater ecosystem teeming with life, enjoying seeing Hawaiian green sea turtles (honu), technicolor coral reefs, beautiful fish, graceful eels, and eye-catching starfish.

After a few hours discovering this underwater paradise you’ll head back to the beach with plenty of time to enjoy the rest of your day.

We had a great time. The captain and crew were so kind and helpful. They gave us excellent information about our gear and the technique we needed. They were very safety oriented, but also very personable and fun. The crew was attentive to our needs and took great care of us. We saw sea turtles and lots of tropical fish. Definitely a 10/10 experience.

This was actually amazing!! A perfect snorkel despite the rain with wind and surf. We snorkeled at the cliffs instead of the original location, it was an hour in the water with a few turtles and dolphins on the ride back. This was so different from anything I expected and the fact the crew kept us safe and made it a wonderful experience was everything!!!! I’m so happy we did this excursion.

The staff was super awesome and kind. We saw tons of turtles and fish. Good for a quick trip but would have loved more time. If you have smaller kids and this is new to you, this would be wonderful! If you are slightly more advanced/ older kids you might want to do the longer trip.

This was our first time snorkeling and we had a lot of fun. We saw a bunch of turtles. The crew was great. Tommy and his mates (sorry I forget the other 2 names ) were very friendly and made sure everyone had a good time. Would def recommend this trip

I was very apprehensive about trying snorkeling for the first time considering I am not a strong swimmer and easy to panic, but the crew on this excursion made me feel at ease from the beginning. INCREDIBLE experience with the Sea Maui team. Brooke, Vinny, and Nick took us on an express tour to snorkel with the turtles at the collapsed Mala Pier. The crew members were friendly and knowledgeable, and we saw an incredible amount of turtles and other sea life, even a bonus pod of spinner dolphins. 10/10, would recommend.

This was awesome! The deck guys were very friendly and helpful. We had inexperienced people with us and everyone had a great time. There was no rush and we had plenty of time with the sea turtles. They were swimming right with us on the reef. The ride was pleasant and the beverages and snacks were a bonus. We also saw lots of dolphins on our way back. Well worth the time; our kids said this was their favorite thing we did in Hawaii.

They had an amazing staff. Two of their names was James and I can’t remember the other person. They was nice, funny and made the trip fun. I don’t know how to swim and they took great care of me. I would highly recommend. The area West in was amazing saw tons of turtles and fishes and even a small reef shark.

Saw so many turtles, schools of fish, and a few small sharks! The crew was friendly and they provided a nice assortment of snacks, drinks, and adult beverages that were appreciated. The turtles got so close you could (but don't) reach out and touch them. If we are blessed enough to make our way out to Maui again, would absolutely do Sea Maui again!

The crew is highly trained and provides a positive and friendly atmosphere. I deeply appreciated their help with my disability as it took me a little longer to board the catamaran. Since I hadn't been snorkeling before, their encouragement went a long way.
