We had a great time. The captain and crew were so kind and helpful. They gave us excellent information about our gear and the technique we needed. They were very safety oriented, but also very personable and fun. The crew was attentive to our needs and took great care of us. We saw sea turtles and lots of tropical fish. Definitely a 10/10 experience.

Everything about this tour was incredible. The crew members were great and the snorkeling was amazing. We saw many sea turtles, lots a fish, and a few other sea animals. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

We were very happy that we could find a snorkeling trip that wasn't all day. The crew was efficient, seasoned and professional. One person in our group was having some anxiety when the trip started, but the crew was excellent in making her feel comfortable to ease her anxiety. Snorkeling was great, saw so many turtles and even a shark. Would definitely do again with the same crew.

What To Expect

Depart directly from Ka'anapali Beach near Whaler’s Village in the morning. You’ll jump right aboard your boat for the short trip out to Mala Wharf, just minutes from the beach, where you’ll be in the water in no time.

As you dive beneath the waves you’ll escape life on a dry land for a few hours, taking the time to discover the unique marine life habitat created by the remnants of the old Mala pier. Explore this colorful underwater ecosystem teeming with life, enjoying seeing Hawaiian green sea turtles (honu), technicolor coral reefs, beautiful fish, graceful eels, and eye-catching starfish.

I chose this express snorkel because my husband gets seasick and my 12 yr old son didn’t want to snorkel. This trip was so much fun that my son was wishing we were out there longer. My husband was fine with motion sickness meds. The boat was a decent size and clean. There were about 30-40 people on the boat and even though it was a bit crowded I still felt like I had space to enjoy myself. The crew was excellent. Maybe 5 minutes after I got on the boat they asked me if I wanted anything to drink. As soon as I was done snorkeling I had a mai tai in my hand. They were friendly and professional. We saw a lot of fish, turtles and even dolphins. We all had a great time and it was worth the money.

We didn’t have a lot of time for a long snorkel excursion. This was a direct route to our snorkeling location, and we got to spend the majority of our trip in the water snorkeling! Definitely would do this again even if we had longer. Amazing views and the crew was outstanding!

The crew of the Sea Maui 3 who took us out on the snorkel adventure were so solicitous and helpful - right down to the ginger chews for those of us who get a bit seasick. It’s an ideal snorkel for people like that because it’s only a short time out on the boat and then you’re quickly into the water.

It was amazing. This was our 1st time snorkeling and the staff was very informative and friendly. This was a highlight on our trip, lots of fish and turtles. Drinks when you get out of water was a nice touch. Did see some spinner dolphins on way back as a bonus.

If time is scarce, this is a great little 2 1/2 snorkel trip. I saw and swam next to about 20 turtles. Saw an eel and reef shark as well and 2 curious octopus watching me from the rocks below. The boat ride was relaxing with music and drinks (alcohol on way back) Crew is top notch. The found a way to show us a pod of dolphins What I really liked is that I was near Whaley Village which is a attraction by itself , they comp parking, and was easy to get there by 7:30. Left at 10:30 to drive the Road to Hana and check out To’peki Lookout too. Was an awesome day.

It was a perfect trip. The crew went above and beyond in being sure that everybody was taken care of.. I have some mobility issues and needed help getting on and off the boat. Between the crew and the other guests I got all the help I needed to make it work for me. I saw about eight turtles a few varieties of fish. Dan, Lisa and Travis asked several times if we needed any drinks or snacks. There was a small bathroom on the boat of somebody needed it. One of the highlights of the trip was watching a school of dolphins, jumping around our boat. They put on a spectacular show for us.

What an amazing trip. I’m not big on tours and I usually skip them, but I heard good things about this one so I gave it a shot and it didn’t let me down. Excursion with teens - A must

From start to finish, best excursion we have been on. We were traveling with teenagers and they even enjoyed it. We all felt safe snorkeling the area, saw plenty of turtles, fish, a shark and ran with some dolphins on the way back. The crew went above and beyond.

Nick, Jess, and James were the great crew when my husband and I did the Xpress Snorkel trip last week. This 2.5 hour trip from Ka'anapali Beach was the perfect amount of time for us to spend time in the water to swim with a bunch of turtles and all kinds of lovely fish. We met up at 7:50am for our trip. The catamaran we were on was close enough to the shore that we just had to wade out to it a few steps and climb some stairs onto the boat. There were probably about 20 other guests plus the crew but there was plenty of seating for everyone. Nick explained how to use the snorkels, fins, and masks, and went over safety tips before we got into the water. We took a 20-minute ride over to the snorkeling spot that had lots of turtles and fish in the area. Once there, we jumped in and swam around to our heart's content. There was always a crew member in the water with us (mostly James) and he was good about keeping an eye on folks and answering any questions we had about what we were seeing underwater. The water temp was just right and I felt completely safe swimming around. I just wish I had an underwater camera with me to document the sea life that we got up close to. After we had our fill, we sailed back to our starting point, with complimentary snacks and drinks available for all. This was totally worth the money and we'll have great memories of that day to cherish.

This was the absolute best snorkeling excursion I’ve ever been on!! The staff was great, the water was super clear and calm, and the amount of fish, sea turtles, and coral we could see was amazing! My family and I had a great time and wouldn’t hesitate to do it again if we come back to Maui.

AMAZING!!! we had an absolute blast, we have all snorkled in Many places but this one was one to remember! It was like swimming in a gigantic aquarium! Lol we saw multiple sea turtles up close and far, tons of fishy’s, scuba divers, and about 3-4 sharks … yep! And the crew was amazing especially Niko I believe was his name.
